I would like property back but I think it has been sold on ebay

I sent Auctionata a sterling silver box last year. Knowing it might take awhile to sell, I would check listing from time to time. It was there before the holidays and then I read an article about Auctionata and checked my listing...gone. I did a google search(very high end name, rare item for brand)and there it was on Ebay, already sold and NOT by Auctionata. I don't know how they got away with selling it to someone else and not notifying me or paying me! To me, this is outright theft....I have contacted Auctionata NYC with the Ebay listing which looks identical to their listing and have not received a reply. My advise is to check Ebay and see if your property is there, if like me it has gone missing. I don't know what kind of action I should take at this point. I think contacting Ebay would be a useless venture.

Disgusting! Where is my property?

I gave an item up for auction valued 10,000 Euro which was not sold. Now they are doing insolvency procedures which to be honest are not my problem. Writing emails, only answer is a spam email to everyone asking us to be patient. Nobody picking up the phone. Their 'experts' are hiding like rats while only a few months ago they were calling me begging to put up my item for auction while they KNEW they were going bankrupt! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! I want my property ASAP! At least give sellers a number to call and talk to somebody to arrange for us to get our property back!

No single response after I paid item(372708) on January 25th, 2017

Their legal bonding is to ship it out of Europe in 21 days, I am in us, after 21 days, I still have not received my item or shipping information, I called both their New York and Berlin offices, nobody answered, I sent emails asking for status, no single response, this has been more than double their shipping days now, I even cannot get a single response, very frustrating.

I paid this item 372708 for euro 2461.25, it is a lot of money for me, I have to get my money or my item back.

After a month I have not received my item yet (solved)

I paid for a gruen powerglide more than a month ago but I have not received the item yet.
I tried to contact Auctionata several times more of them without answers.
This is not a professional service especially for the price of the shipment, that is not justified since I have to wait more than a month to have my purchase.
I hope that you will solve the problem as quickly as possible.

Problem solved they changed the courier and i received the item after only 2 days.
I think that was a problem with the old courier company.

This company is under bankrupcy

If you try to sell here you will know why. They cannot even decribe the
items right! I sold 3 items and 2 items just covered their storage fee`s.
I think they live on this fee. One item was sold four times, before it was paid.
One item returned damaged and it took more than 1 month to come up with a suggestion of paying half of the restoration cost. After this they told
me, that they are under bankrupcy. For your own sake do NOT use this
company.!!! It is a joke.

Reloj roto y encima con número de serie borrado

Compré hace unos meses un reloj a auctionata,

1. Sorpresa los enormes costes de revisión ....transporte y seguros, unos 600 euros más.

2. Al cabo de unas semanas el reloj empieza a hacer ruidos de piezas sueltas u deja de funcionar en unos días

3. Lo llevamos a un centro oficial de la marca del reloj, al reloj no se le ha hecho ninguna revisión como Auctionata dice y por lo que te cobran.

4. El Centro oficial de la marca nos muestra que el reloj tiene el número de serie del reloj está borrado, saquen sus conclusiones...

Recomendación no se les ocurra comprar nada a esta gente y no entiendo cómo todavía no han sido intervenidos por las autoridades, nosotros estamos ya poniendo el tema en manos de nuestro abogado con posterior denuncia en la comisaría de policía.

Como ya le hemos informado a través de su cuenta regular, no creemos qué su queja sobre la condición del reloj sea justificada.

En nuestra descripción sobre el estado del reloj que usted ha comprado describimos la reserva de marcha como sigue: ". No se garantiza la precisión y el tiempo" Por esta razón, no estamos de acuerdo en el asumir los costes de una posible revisión.

También usted se queja de que el numero de la caja del reloj no sea legible. En nuestra descripción se explica: "número de caso no reconocible". Por lo tanto, por desgracia, también vemos este motivo como infundado.

Por lo tanto, le rogamos que entienda nuestra decisión.

En este punto, nos gustaría señalar que sus costos de transporte y seguro eran 90 euros.

Esperamos su sugerencia de cómo podríamos acordarnos en este caso para llevar su venta a una conclusión positiva. Gracias por su ayuda.

Lack of Communication - Closing the Deal with Assurances

My initial experience in the bidding process and finally arriving at a price was good, BUT .... after I purchased through post Auction (I was the only bidder on a piece showcased on Dec 29 2016 ... (Auction No 736 Item # 252167-038) and have been trying to pay for it so that it can be shipped.
I have emailed several people (those whom were in contact with myself prior, during and after the auction) at Auctionata and left several voice mails on the phone systems (no one seems to pick up the phone) and I have not heard from anybody ... this is very frustrating ...
Whats going to happen when they have my money ... will I actually receive the piece ?
This thus far does not bode well for on line auctions ... can someone please address the issues at Auctionata ???

Mauvaise expérience en tant que vendeur

J'ai mis en vente des montres, qui ont été estimées à une valeur très (trop?) haute par les experts d'Auctionata. Elles n'ont pas été vendues, et lorsque j'ai voulu les récupérer, on m'a facturé des droits de garde basés sur ces estimations hautes, puis des frais d'expédition prohibitifs. Conclusion : qu'elle vende ou non, Auctionata gagne de l'argent en surestimant les objets à vendre.

Tout d’abord, je peux vous assurer que les estimations établies par nos spécialistes internes et externes s’appuyent toujours autant sur une expertise profonde qu’une recherche méticuleuse. Tous les objets sont présentés dans les ventes aux enchères de manière professionelle, avec des photos haute résolution et une déscription détaillée. Néanmoins, il est evident que malgré tous nos efforts, Auctionata ne peut jamais garantir la vente.

Toutes les montres confiées à Auctionata ont été mises aux enchères deux fois. Aux enchéres, le prix de départ est toujours fixé à la moitié du prix estimé. En consequence, les objets peuvent parfois être acheter au prix de départ. Cette stratégie de prix est indiquée précisément dans votre contrat de consignation.

En ce qui concerne votre contrat, je me permets de preciser qu’Auctionata a pu vendre une de vos cinq montres. La vente n’a certes pas été spéculaire mais il est necessaire, je pense, de le souligner.

En outre, les droits facturés ne se sont pas appuyés sur les prix estimés mais sur un taux réduit qui correspond à la moitié environ des prix estimés.

Je vous contacterai personellement le plus tôt possible afin d’aborder toutes questions toujours ouvertes et discuter la facturation dans le detail. Je suis sûr que nous pouvons trouver une solution amiable.

They keep hold onto you, despite an error, and you can't talk sense to them.

I am having a very bad experience with Auctionata. At an online auction I was bidding on a watch and I clicked at the amount of € 3000,-, but just after my click I saw, that another person got the bid. €3000 was my maximum, so I leaned back knowing that I didn't get the watch . But after aprox. 15 to 20 sec. the system registered that I bid €3200, which I didn't. Here the auction ended and I was declared the "winner". I am use to bidding online, and I know for sure, that I didn't click after €3000. Since then I have been trying both on telephone and by writing to make Auctionata to accept, that I didn't bid €3200 and that I don't want the watch, but in vane. They simply don't care and afterwards they have had the seller of the watch to accept what they call my offer. It is impossible to have a dialog with them, they just say, that their system shows that I have been bidding, and that I must have a slow internet - which I don't have. They just refer to their computersystem and the terms I have accepted before I was approved as a buyer. So now we are heading towards a lawsuit, because I am sure of the fact that I didn't click after €3000. Auctionata don't reply my e-mails, they just see me as a person unwilling or unable to pay.
They simply don't care, don't listen and go for incasso.
I think they use very unpleasant and unscrupulous business method. That is not a way to run a desent auctionhouse.

As soon as you have mentioned your concerns regarding your winning bid at one of our auctions our team checked the status of your bidding history right away. Here we found out that you participated in an animated bidding match and in the end you won the object as the highest bidder. It was a very close call and therefore you may not have noticed the console jumping up one step further before placing your bid. We understand that this may be frustrating to you since you feel that you did not place the highest bid. However, this winning bid is based on our winning history record and hence the bid is legally binding.

I hope you understand that we tried our best to find out if there had been a mistake, but after a check up everything is normal.

Good value

Recently I won a fine jade lot at an Auctionata Paddle8 auction on Arts of China and Japan. My purchase could not be confirmed for some time after the auction, apparently due to a complication. Upon confirmation, the invoice came quickly within a day. After my payment online, the goods was despatched within 5 days, much faster than the 21 days stated for non-EU countries. Their shipper DHL delivered it to me speedily within 2 days. Overall, I consider the after-sales services of Auctionata as very good. The team@auctionata, particularly Franca Pier and Margot Rannaud, were helpful in bringing the purchase to fruition. I consider Auctionata’s valuation as very reasonable for this China jade lot. The color, sheen and translucency were accurately described by the catalogue’s images and text. I will be on the lookout for good value at Auctionata Paddle8 auctions and online shop.

Beware

Buyers premium is excessively high. BE CAREFUL WHEN BIDDING.
Watching auction on internet and see a large number of items being passed. This is a world wide venue. With so many watching and not bidding I would have to think the opening bid like the"Buyers Premium" is excessive. BUYER BEWARE.

Our buyer’s premium is comparable to that of other auctioneers, being 25% without VAT for lots up to 1.000.000 € hammer price.

The sell through rates of our auctions differ per category, time and location, and it may be that you followed an auction with a low number of bidders. That would be your chance to win a lot cheap, without competing bidders!

bidder beware: before to make a bid for a watch think twice!!!

my personal experience with Auctionata is really very bad.

The last two watches I bought are not completely functional even if Auctionata declared them "Functional".

The first has the hour hand glued and this defect was not declared by Auctionata "Expert", on the contrary Auctionata decleared it functional.

You can easily imagine how a watch with this kind of problem should be "functional".

The second one need to be charged every for hours!!!

Also in this case Auctinata decleared it functional insisting, after my complaints, that a watch that need to be charged every for hours is, in their opinion, "functional".

In both the cases I didn't get any kind of reimbursement even if I spend a lot of time in emails - pictures of the problems and quotes for for the repairs.

The problem is that when Auctionata declare a watch "functional" you don't have any possibility to verify it, you can just to trust on them.

The verification on the functionality can be done only when the watch arrive at home, when could be too late.

So I learned something new:

is much better to see, test and verify a watch BEFORE to buy it, otherwise the disappointment (and the relative loss of money) can be really too strong.

After this experience I don't trust anymore in Auctionata and I strongly suggest people interested in buying a watch to be very careful and think twice before to make a bid at an Auctionata auction.

Dear Bob, thank you very much for your feedback. After you provided us with a quote for the two lots in question, we ascertained the following:
1) There was no technical difficulty with the first watch you mentioned. It was functional during inhouse testing and when it arrived with you. The functionality problems that occurred after several hours were due to dust within the watch and a regular overhaul was needed. As stated in our description, we do not guarantee for long-term precision and recommend a full overhaul at the buyer’s expense.
2) The hour hand of the second watch you mentioned was not as described and therefore we offered a cancellation of your sale. You declined our offer since you had already authorized a repair of the watch without our consent. The costs of the repair are not in proportion with the value of the watch and therefore we could not agree to cover it. We offered to cover an appropriate part of the unauthorized repair costs, which you have refused.
We hope that we were able to explain the situation as we see it once again. Please feel free to get in touch again should you wish to discuss this matter further.

Why this company has not been banned from trade is beyond me

I am quoting ARTNET here: according to an audit carried out by KPMG in January 2015, "chief executive officer Alexander Zacke and his wife Susanne Zacke—who is chief marketplace officer—participated in art auctions on their own site, using both pseudonyms and their real names." Why have the German authorities not closed this fraudulent company down yet? I for one would never bid with them!

Tolle Einzelstücke, bequem nach Hause geliefert

Habe im Shop schon mehrmals tolle Geschenke gefunden die man eben nicht an jeder Ecke bekommt. Bisher kamen die immer gut an. Versand war bisher immer schnell und auch gut verpackt, was bei den Waren wichtig ist, es sind halt eben keine Taschenbücher.

Amazing service! and quick delivery

I read some of these reviews after i purchased my item and i got kinda scared because i bought a expensive watch for my wife.
But i can honestly say my experience with Auctionata has been a delightful one! I called their customer service a couple of times and the service was very good.
Their fee is very high though! i think 20% thats a minus.
I had the item within 2 days.
I usually dont read these kind of things because people tend to only wright when they have a bad experience and people with good experience dont write at all because they're happy and on to the next..

so what im trying to say is:
My experience with Auctionata was very very very good. and i would recommend it any day!
