Our stay in London was great and part of this was due to A Place Like Home. The booking stage was very smooth and they were very helpful and responsive during our stay.

Perfect setup for our family of 4 in the best location in London. Nick and his team were highly responsive to everything we needed during our stay.

Easy to work with and personal interaction. Real person greeted us at the property rather than (even-detailed) on-line instructions.

We rented a flat. 3 adults, two children. The move-in, move-out was seamless. We were personally welcomed. The flat was spotless with welcome tea, coffee, pods for dishwasher/washing machine left for our convenience.
Nicely furnished, comfortable, great location. Would recommend.

Very nice flat. Close to shopping and the tube. Clean and quiet. My only concern was first step out of the tub (al long drop) and area rugs concern for older people.

This is a beautifully run company with beautiful properties in its portfolio. The properties are in desirable neighborhoods and exactly as advertised. (I have rented many!) The staff is always helpful and always available. If you want to rent a flat in London, this is your company.

The location was fantastic. The flat was very well appointed; clean, airy, good stock of linen. I recommended the flat get some new kitchen equipment as it was a little badly stocked as it was new. And my request was immediately put into place. The caretaker was a gem. Such a kind helpful gentleman.

When the properties that we preferred were unavailable, Nick was able to recommend other suitable properties as he has in the past. We finally chose Roper's Orchard which was excellent in every way.

The apartment is very spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and generous modern bathrooms. The main bedroom is enormous with large wardrobes. The decor throughout is comfortable and modern and everything is very clean. There is agreat view of a sunken garden (Ropers Garden) and of the Thames River from the balcony and living areas, so time spent in the apartment is very pleasant.

The lift worked well and was great for transporting our luggage. There is not an underground station in the immediate vicinity of Ropers Orchard but you can walk to Sloane's Square station. Buses are very closeby and provide great views of the city.

The apartment is near the King's Road which was especially pretty around the time of the Chelsea Flower Show with all the floral displays. There are lots of other places that you can walk to from the apartment including the Battersea and Alfred Bridges. There are lots of good restaurants nearby and it is a 10-15 minute walk to Waitrose with smaller food stores in closer proximity.

Arrival and departure communications were very clear and the mid-stay linen change was efficient. All in all we had a wonderful stay in Chelsea and would love to visit Ropers Orchard again.

We loved the flat on ladbroke crescent. Great location and spotless clean. Very communicative if issues arrose and immediately resolved. Made our stay in London very enjoyable and memorable

Well located properties but for the price they need to put in a little extra effort. My rental had neither tv nor a microwave oven, both of which are essential when travelling on work. A coffee machine, which is now standard in hotels, was also missing. There is room for improvement in their cleaning service as well.

The property at 55 Blithfield was an excellent location. It had plenty of room for 6 people, including ample room for socializing downstairs. The kitchen was especially nice, with updated appliances, etc. The bedroom on the 1st floor, front really needs a mirror of some kind. Even a makeup mirror on a stand would be helpful. We were missing a pillowcase as well. And we were completely flummoxed by how to unlock the house. I really feel a clear set of directions in terms of the order of how to unlock each of the 3 front door locks (and which key goes with each lock) should be provided. If our car service driver hadn't helped us figure it out (at night in the dark), I don't know what we would have done!

Unfortunately, the biggest issue we had was that there was no wifi or TV during our stay. Apparently, it was an outage with BT OpenReach. Our property manager, Nick, was a delight to deal with. He even dropped off a wifi hot spot for us to use, but in the end, we felt that this problem was significant. We were given a small refund in lieu of these advertised services. While I loved the property itself, our group felt this could have been handled more efficiently and generously in terms of refund.

With that being said, things happen! I've been a vacation home landlord myself and know that certain things can be one-off problems. Beside the items mentioned, it was a smooth transaction in terms of initial contact with Nick, communications throughout the reservation/payment process and I would rent from A Place Like Home again

We spent 2 and a half weeks at Blithfield Street and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The house was very functional and equipped with everything needed; and very nicely decorated and presented. Especially enjoyed the two patio areas with colourful wisteria growing in the courtyard. The location is also a winner - close to a great pub, as well as several small shops and cafes just around the corner. A 10 min walk to High Street Kensington and nearby buses also makes for a convenient location. We found the management company, and Nick's team, very responsive to anything we needed. A wonderful spot - thank you.

Nick was very helpful and the instructions were clear and entering and leaving the property all went seamlessly.

We have used APLH several times over the years for short term (vacation) rentals in London. We have found them to be reliable, communicative and easy to work with. The apartment photos and descriptions on the website are accurate in our experience. We will not hesitate to work with them again in the future.

This was a great flat for a family of four (plus grandma!). Really excellent location...Kensington gardens and the big Diana playground right across the street and very convenient access to two nearby Tube lines as well as bus routes as well. There are also several places to eat very close by (both family friendly and more couples oriented) as well as grocery stores and pharmacies just steps away. The place was very clean and comfy and the Master bedroom was incredibly roomy. Having a washer/dryer was wonderful and A Place Like Home made the check in and check out process super easy and convenient. Having a separate WC and shower room as well as a master bath was also a great bonus. We would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend this flat as great value!

From start to finish my experience with A Place Like Home was positive. I worked with Nick throughout the process, and he was extremely helpful and always available. I would put the rental at the top of my list of vacation rentals.

Communication was easy, quick efficient……..our home was perfectly located….clean….comfortable……Nick arranged flawless airport transport…….some simple improvements would be a couple folding luggage racks..
..ability to make third floor a little less warm
