Poor Customer Service and Delivery

Following the response from the company, I would like to point out that the one star review is purely down to the customer service. My parcel spent two weeks going back and forwards between The Netherlands and the UK and even although I kept bringing this to your attention, all that the customer service team did was tell me what the DPD tracking said. One simple phone call to DPD and I might have got my parcel and you wouldn't have got a bad review.
Maybe if you can retrain your staff, I may try again. I still want the items but I am not going to pay high postage costs just to watch my parcel go back and forth, I can watch Wimbledon for that.

I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. Do not expect to receive your products and customer service is lousy.
Although they have a .co.uk address and UK phone number, they are not based in the UK. They are based in the Netherlands. I don't have a problem with that, if they were actually any good at providing your purchases.
Although they say they sent my parcel, and I got DPD tracking for it, it spent a few days going through customs twice and, perhaps the label had fallen off because it then spent the next few weeks going back and forwards between the UK and The Netherlands. I contacted customer services several times but all they would tell me was that it looked like it was delayed and sent me a copy of the DPD tracking! I could see the DPD tracking, which is why I was contacting them, but they did not seem interested in trying to find out why it was not being delivered! Eventually I had to cancel the order.
This was a trial shipment as I wanted to try a few light fittings out to see if they were any good before replacing the entire store! Now looking for another supplier and will definitely be checking the reviews first!

First of all, I would like to apologise that you feel our customer service has not helped you enough. I can indeed see that there are delivery issues with your order and that you have got a refund for it already.

We send out thousands of parcels every day and in the vast majority of cases the deliveries work perfectly. Of course, it can happen that there is a problem with a delivery and I regret that this happened to your particular delivery. Often this happens because of an incorrect address, but it can of course be due to other things that are beyond our control... If the address is incorrect, we can correct this before we send out a new delivery - or we can, as in your case and as you wished - give you a refund instead.

Again, I apologise that the delivery did not work this time and I hope you will give us another chance in the future...

Horrible service

I made an order, inputted my address and they missed half of my address off the label to the shipping company, they told me to contact the shipping company after they have collected it. It hadn't even left the warehouse but they wouldn't change it. Customer service was horrendous and extremely poor, it was also shipped from outside the UK when the site is a .co.uk company. I had to spend 2 days trying to change the shipping address withe the courier but instead I had to wait all day at an address that wasn't mine and stop the driver, this cost me two days wages and yet again Customer service team were terrible, never use them again, poor service, took along time to arrive and I could get better service and price in the UK.

No it wasn't taken direct from the order, thats the whole point. I've got email confirmation stating my address, then email confirmation for the shipping address which was different. I can post the exact emails if you like?
Yes. I did intercept the parcel courier on the road not at my address because you put the wrong one on it, also when I complained you agreed and told me to contact the delivery company! Horrible customer service

The shipping address used on your parcel was taken directly from the information you provided at checkout on our website. Our system automatically generates shipping labels based on this input, and after reviewing the order details, we can confirm that the address on the label exactly matches the one submitted.

Your request to alter the delivery address came after the parcel had already been processed and dispatched. At that stage, the shipment was already with DPD and could no longer be modified by our team. As explained, once orders are collected by the courier, changes can only be made directly through them.

According to DPD’s tracking system, 'your parcel was successfully delivered on Thursday, 19 June 2025 at 13:39, and was received by your neighbour at number 2, signed for by Carl'. Given this timeline and confirmed delivery, it’s unclear how this situation resulted in a loss of two days’ wages to make changes that, unfortunately, were not possible once the parcel was in transit.

Regarding your concern about the shipping origin, we’d like to clarify that Any-lamp.co.uk is one of the interfaces of Any Lamp BV, a Dutch company registered in the UK with the revenue agency as a non-resident entity. This information is transparently provided in the "About Us" section of our website.

We regret that your experience did not meet expectations and will certainly take your comments into consideration for future improvements.

I will never order again

It was an extremely poor service and wouldn't use this company again. Put my order in and they completely changed my address and left half of the address from the shipping address. I told customer service before it was shipped and they wouldn't change it, they said If it doesn't get delivered it will be sent back.
I explained it won't be delivered it's the wrong address and second I got told to try and change it myself with the parcel currier. 
I told them before it was shipped,  when it was shipped and even asked how can they miss half the address off, customer service was a horrendous experience and didn't want to help. 
Eventually I personally contacted the parcel company and changed the address and it was never confirmed so I had to wait on my near by road for them to see if they came close. I did track them down, but it was a very poor service from start to finish. Never again.

My address I put on the order was correct, your company changed it and didn't write the proper address to the shipping company,

Dear customer,

I'm sorry for your experience but I'm glad you got your delivery. Our orders are handled very quickly to ensure they go out as quickly as possible - this is done with an automated programme that makes it impossible to change anything about the order after it has been placed. Customer service is therefore also unable to make changes to the address and would have to contact the carrier to ask them to make any changes. However, for them to do that the reply from the carrier will take too long which is the reason it is much better for the customer to log in and make changes themselves using the trackinglink, then the change is made immediately. That is really the most efficiant way- I hope for your understanding. However, if there is somehow a problem with a delivery, the customer service will be notified from the carrier and can then make the necessary changes.

Package went to Denmark

Any-lamp.co.uk have some difficult to find stuff listed but don't make it obvious HQ and their warehouse in Eindhoven.
That's OK, would prefer it was more upfront about business location, but waited a week and check tracking with DPD that shows packet in wrong country.
Don't usually bother with trustpilot but have to take that rating down a bit as any-lamp.co.uk website promises better experience.

update 1 Paul/Sean at Any-lamp.co.uk quick to respond and friendly, hope to get delivery mishap sorted!

Update 2 any-lamp may have got the packet redirected but not to Scotland, its spent past 4 days moving around dutch countryside. Their advice is to refuse the package for full refund if it arrives.

The delivery charges are excessive : See example

The delivery charges are excessive. On an item costing £14 the original delivery charge was approx £10. To return the goods for credit . the charge was £13.00. Refund is advised at £14.00. If I hadn`t bought anything from you,
Total expenditure = £14 + £10 del. + £13 return postage equals = £37.00
Total refund = £14.00
Total loss = £23 ie I would be £23 better off if I had avoided purchasing anything from you.
Definitely not user friendly!!

Update to ‘No settlement of…

This is an update to ‘No settlement of Approved Warranty Claim’
The outstanding Warranty Claim has been settled at last.
The claim was made on the16th April 2025 and approved for payment on the 23rd April 2025 but payment never happened.
It has taken numerous emails, phone calls, Citizen’s Advice Notification of Breach of Contract as well as a negative review on Trustpilot before the refund was forthcoming on the 19th May 2025
This is not an isolated case judging by some of the reviews I have read. Any-lamp have a problem in making refunds of any sort and I for one will be not be dealing with this company again.
Be Warned!!!!!

I respect your opinion; however, I must clarify that our records do not indicate this is a recurring issue, nor does it constitute a breach of contract, as no contractual agreement exists between you and Any-Lamp. That said, I fully accept that we did not meet our usual high standards in your case.
