I telephoned twice to Evie about a role of which I was perfectly matched with qualification.No call back, no acknowledgement despite email sent.Communication skills are zero !

The reviews below are correct about fake ads being used to make people register. I applied for a role on Reed through this agency and received an email stating they had tried to call me regarding the role. I replied with my correct number, and they then sent me a Teams call invite titled “registration”.

During the Teams call, I was asked standard interview questions, and at the end I was told that her colleagues deal with HR roles and that she would pass my CV on to them or check if they had any suitable roles. Even though she was nice, I realised the job ad was clickbait — there were no actual roles, and they use your CV to contact you, pretending to discuss a job just to get you to register.

I never consented to registering with the agency. They do this sneakily by saying they need to discuss a role. I only realised this after reading comments from others saying they do this with everyone. My question is why — do they get commission for every person they register on the system?

I will be contacting Reed about this, as the fake ad was submitted through their platform.

To ask an applicant "what salary are you looking for" and "what salary do you currently earn" are two different questions. I experienced an uncomfortable pressure from this agency for me to tell them what salary I was currently earning. I was asked irrelevant questions in my interview with the consultant due to the consultant's nosiness, and was also assigned to a different consultant who was leaving the company the next day, how pointless was that, hence not hearing from this agency until I found out.
