so its been more than 8 months working…
so its been more than 8 months working with Amazonflex ... overall experience very PATHETIC , .. now i will tell the reasons, 1. they used to send me to post codes, in the night time, to deliver where even in the day time one needs to be careful. Broken roads , forest areas and far off farm houses. no extra money etc ... 2. they claim they pay 25 pounds an hour, which is very big lie , they pay 18 pounds for an hour , from which i pay 2 pound insurance and 2 to 4 pounds fuel and3-4 pounds tax (yeah , you didn,t know the money is even not taxed ??) , i am left with maximum 9 to 11 pounds an hour which is even less than minimum wage and still i haven't counted the cars maintenance and wear tear which can bring it down to 7-8 pounds an hour (??) ... 3. The biggest cheating i figured out was few days ago , when i did a 2.5 hour block for 46 pounds and i drove 93 miles that is going to oxford from Theale and back , so i reported this to the depot manager who showed to me that their system is showing that i had to drive 46 miles for my route ???? and i was like .. OMG ... so amazon flex is somehow so innocent that they don't know they are sending me 45 miles away from my home/depot so they dont know i am spending double fuel on reaching back home ??? ..... 4. there is no connection between Online support Amazon flex, offline support of amazon flex and depot management .. they are all blind and deaf to each other and basically all of them are useless as no one has no power or authority , especially the most referred to department of offline support is a ghost department who only respond via AI and there seem to be no human being there .. please be aware and i think don't do this job if you have any other better alternative ... it may only be good for a few times a month just for some extra money ... also please if some one can help me understand whether this is Amazon itself or some outsourced business???
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. I am a new driver trying to start up with flex. I have completed all steps (green tick) except for the insurance. I went on zego and purchased pay as you go insurance and have been trying to link both my accounts for the past 3 weeks with no success. I have called and live chatted to both amazon flex and zego to get this sorted with zego and flex blaming each other. They lie through their teeth with no shame. I have uploaded letter of enrolment and payg insurance policy schedule for flex to say say it does not say hire and reward when it clearly does. I dont think I will be joining flex now after this hassle. Now ive read the reviews and woww the reviews from drivers are just crazy. They are all 1 star and I really do not understand how amazon flex can still operate on uk shores with this level of service to the drivers is beyond me.
Authoritarian corporate behaviour
Customer service shows a complete lack of interest in investigating the situation or providing any meaningful support, while openly ignoring its own corporate policies.
My account was disabled after an age-verified delivery, despite me fully following the written policy. The policy clearly states “If the app indicates that the recipient is under 25, or if they appear under 25, you must request a valid ID and enter the date of birth into the app.”
There is absolutely nothing in the policy that requires asking for ID when a customer clearly appears over 25 years old. Nevertheless, Amazon Flex disabled my account without a fair review, explanation, or any genuine investigation.
The recipient was clearly over 40 years old, leaving no reasonable justification to request ID. This mirrors standard retail practice, yet Amazon Flex chooses to punish drivers arbitrarily rather than apply its own rules consistently.
Ok for a little extra money
Ok for a little extra money. Some blocks consist of parcels that are oversized, even a trip of 20mins to deliver the 1st one. What really annoys me is this Amazon standing, all it takes is for 1 customer to complain they never got their parcel ( some lie to get a refund or a new item) and your rating takes a nose dive! The app navigation is sometimes complete rubbish. Phoned a customer because he wasn’t in and I needed a signature, customer asked to drive to his friends 10mins away and deliver it there….. wasn’t going to happen, returned item to depot and it was noted as a failed delivery. Amazon always take the customers side. With GPS and pics they still come up with not delivered/missing package!!!!
"WAY TO DIFFICULT" to get a block
It is just "WAY TO DIFFICULT" to get a block, you have to apportion so much of your time to being on - and refreshing the APP in the hope that you may catch a block, of which 99 times out of 100 you don't, the second a block appears, it is gone, this is why I have now made the decision to leave, Amazon Flex appear to have flooded the driver pool making it almost all but impossible to get anything other than very short base rate jobs
One of worst Employers to work…
One of worst Employers to work there..most of the time earning is less then minimum wages..they treat drivers like slaves.,never listen drivers problems..
Amazon drivers don’t care where they leave their deliveries.
Placed an order via eBay and it was delivered by Amazon. The driver through the parcel on the doorstep took a photo and walked off. He couldn’t be bothered to ring the doorbell or knock on the door. The parcel was left in full view of passers by. Luckily I was at home and my Ring doorbell camera alerted me that someone was at my door. I also have two parcel safes nearby but he couldn’t be bothered to use them.
Very poor quality of the service they provide on Amazon Support
Wrote an e-mail about an issue I have and after 7 days they decided to answer to my e-mail but nothing to do with my problem, Can't understand how do they get the job with Amazon Flex Support Team? They are out of this matter and World.
All a ask was to review the problem I had, I explain myself with the situation I have, they answered totally something else??
Poor experience
Good only for pocket money ! But the time which you need to spend on the app to get a job is endless!!
Support is bad , the routes are heavy , and they’re giving you parcels which you can’t even fit on your car
Also the rates which they pay , are really bad
Someone must do something
At the Amazon logistics station. The address is Birmingham (DBI5) - Amazon Logistics (B76 1AF) Unit H2 & H1 Midpoint, Midpoint Park, Minworth.
On 14/12/2025,
I was treated very badly by a young female I believe she was a Pakistani or Indian. She shouted at me and when I said could you stop shouting at me please she came with attitude saying who are you talking to me like that and just do what I said. I said could you lower your voice please you still shouting. After that she said I’m not giving you the parcels and you can get out of here. I asked for the manager he cane and his name was Mohamed Abdirahman he was was keep defending that Asian lady and he was very rude and aggressive towards me and said that I’m not telling you again to get out just get out now.
I’ve made a complaint to Amazon flex customer service but unfortunately I’m still waiting to hearing from them in regards to my complaint about their staff’s unacceptable behaviour at the Amazon flex hub.
They’re very disrespectful staff and acting like a gang!sters at (DB15 Minworth Amazon flex hub.
We get paid for a time block only
We get paid for a time block: I would love to return to the customer and attempt delivery again, but the pay will not reflect on this, we pay all our own expenses. Our pay does not cover waiting for the customer to open the door after a minute, we look for a safe place. My last blocks took on average 45 minutes longer than I am paid for. Why because I want to give a quality service.
I started with Amazon flex. I delivered all my parcels and then was told 1 parcel did not get delivered. 99% of my parcels got delivered and 1 did not. Why would anyone go to the effort of delivering 99% of their route to not deliver 1 parcel. All the packs are brown card and I have no idea what is in a pack, so why would I steal a parcel not knowing what is in it.
As a driver we get allocated enough time to ring a door bell and/or leave the parcel somewhere safe. We are marked down for late deliveries and parcels going missing,
It is an ok job if you don’t care, but for someone like me who only knows one way of working and thats with care and consideration it is a nightmare.
Why do people not put numbers on their doors, you would think its the odd door but NO it about 40% and some streets it will be 4/5 doors in a row.
I just read a review from a customer 3 strikes and out, talk to Amazon and get them to allocate enough time to deliver every parcel & not mark the driver down for returning the parcels allocated when there is no safe place. Answer the door in good time, we are not scum just getting some extra money.
Amazon flex driver jobs are underpaid and unfair on the driver, Amazon only care that you deliver every parcel and do not care if you have to work past your block time… it is run by AI that only see black and white, app problems, traffic problems are the drivers fault!!!!
Poor Delivery drivers
Is ringing the doorbell, leaving the parcel and driving away before the customer gets to the door some sort of Amazon Driver Game ?
Has happened 2/ 3 times of late !
1. What if the the person hasn’t heard the Bell and it is raining ?
2. What’s the point of leaving instructions for the Driver if they don’t use them ?
All I read about with Amazon / Courier Drivers is about the issues they face - guess what ? I don’t give a toss about the issues they face - they can deliver the parcel professionally and properly with manners or they can’t ?
If they can’t after 3 complaints- get rid of them - simple !
always deactivated the driver account
always deactivated the driver account , customer service is a rubbish , cant solve the problem ,
Drivers are theirs!
Went out for the day just got back the driver was top the road so stopped the driver and asked for my parcel he said there was a note in the door there wasnt he then said parcel was behind the bin parcel was not in behind the bin nor init checked neighbours nothing obviously has atole my parcel another neighbour with the same problem beware of the drivers!
Flex lost the war to bots/grabbers
Impossible to catch any block, bots have taking all over now, and Amazon don’t do anything about it.. should we all start using bots ???
Very sad , I was doing Flex for a year now, and never was so bad . Big list of blocks available comes up on the screen like 10-15 different time frames and after just a second all gone 😂😂😂 for a few months now it’s like that. Joke. Amazon have no idea how to stop it that’s for sure!!!
Anyone who doesn’t use the bots respect for you, but if you want to try to do it feel free as Amazon just can’t stop it, they lost that war.
Type ‘ Block grabber ‘ in app store or google and you will get one of them.
favoritism towards friends and family
New DCF2 depot, new cages...everything is new, but the injustices continue.
On October 29, 2025, I was on my line loading my cage when I came across an officer taking a cage from a girl and giving that same cage to another driver thatJudging by the lively conversation, they must have been friends or family
The new route given to her had stops in Barry, Bridgend, Porthcawl, and Cowbridge. Not an easy route at all, many miles to cover. After complaining again to support, I received an email from a bot. In other words, favoritism towards friends and family on easy routes will always happen because complaints never reach where they should; they always stay with the bots. When will there be an email for drivers to report these injustices, injustices for some and favoritism for others?
Are these same drivers also being favored to know when route prices increase!?
Trust me it’s not worth it
A lot of the time you will drive down country lanes and cover 100+ miles. The pay is poor and you will do around 13 parcels an hour so have to cover petrol money and insurance plus damage to your car. Typical blocks pay around £50 for 3-4 hours and sometimes you need to drive 35 miles just to get to the start depot.
People don’t answer the door a lot of the time and you will get blamed if you leave a parcel - even if they retrieve it some people will say they never got it to claim another one and you will get blamed.
They just give generic responses when you email for help and have no regard for people’s mental health.
They will also drop you in an instant. If you try and help people by opening a door you assume is a porch to deliver a parcel safely you will get accused of trespassing- trust me I done it for 4 years.
It is total garbage.
Rubbish support
Absolutely rubbish support !!i did send them about 15emails and every answer was same they didnt sort it out issue and on the end Close my account well done they siting somewhere in India and have no clue how Flex working im done
Amazon penalises you when it's their fault
There are countless things that amazon does to make you suffer. One of the biggest concerns is they will give you packages that are guaranteed to be late as they should have been on a previous route. It is frustrating knowing there is nothing you can do about it. You then receive an email saying your driving rating will now be affected negatively despite it being out of your control. The next thing is that you must spend copious amounts of time trying to get blocks by tapping away to get blocks and this time is unpaid. It's an absolute disgrace. They recruit way more people than they need for an area and leave you with little work. You work diligently to raise your driver rating only to be abused. The way they treat people is horrendous, it's so sad.
Double standards
Double standards, unfair treatment and exploitation of time and distance.
This giant doesn't care how much you try for them - the only thing that matters is customer reviews, whether they are fair or not.
People are forced to pee in bottles to save time.
Deliveries that are 100% done are declared undelivered because of customers, but the responsibility is always placed on you.
Couriers are not provided with high-quality and cost-effective equipment.
Complaints about working conditions are ignored.
Absolute ignorance and permissiveness, probably due to influence.
