First and last time using amazon.ie
Stick to the .co.uk site or germany, .ie is a joke..ordered an item for next day delivery and two weeks later no item, no tracking info and I'm told now no refund and nobody knows where it is...no surprise though, I worked there for a period of time and its run by idiots, AVOID.
USELESS, avoid!!
A book I ordered was left outside my house in the rain by the courier, and was soaked. I got onto amazon who offered to send a replacement and told me I didn't need to return the damaged book, to dispose of it and ignore the return request emails I'd get. I was then recharged for the item as I hadn't returned it. I got onto customer care again and was told that, while they can see their associate made a "false promise ", they cannot refund me as the item should have been returned. Even if I returned it now, it is too late. They told me there is nothing more they can do and didn't make any effort to make up for their employee costing me money. The most unhelpful company I've ever experienced, I will go back to ordering from the UK amazon as the Irish one is sadly useless.
Amazon- a Horrible service
Good thing is their price is competitive but a horrible service, tried to buy a keyboard via amazon and requested the seller to answer few questions on the legitimacy of the product before shipping but they still ship it without confimring and send the wrong product as well. I would not recommed buying it from them even after amazon has approved this vendor. I tried to contact Amazon but they drag the process but importantly when I review the product and seller when I include amazon into the review, they block it being published, this has been happening for almost few years now, they have created automation to stop posting reviews about their own bad service.
Soso nothing like temu
Overall Not Bad but their packing is absolutely terrible 3 out of 5 packages arrive damaged and their return policy is rubbish especially to return smaller cheap items where it cost me more to drive to the post office then the item is worth. Temu is still beating your A.. Amazon....
Misleading search results, slow refund, lack of transparency about returned items status
Search results were misleading, the refund was slow, and there’s no clarity about refund shipping, scanning and status. I was searching for adjustable dumbbell sets and assumed the Amazon search result would indeed be a set. It was slightly more expensive at €259 than a set from RPM of the same dumbbells, but I thought I’d use Amazon instead out of convenience. When I got the shipment confirmation the next day (20 October), I realised that it was in fact only a single dumbbell, not a set, so it was well over double the price per dumbbell compared to the RPM website. I wanted to cancel the Amazon order, but it had already shipped and there’s was no way of reverting it. All I could do was start the refund process. I posted the item back to Amazon on 22 October. After 1 week, there was no update on shipping or if Amazon received it through the app or email. I called Amazon on 31 October to see if they had received the dumbbell back, and the said they did receive it - I asked for a confirmation email, which they did send. The refund status on the app was unchanged. After just under the 14 day maximum specified by Amazon, I got a refund of only €1.29. I called them to ask when the remaining €258 would be refunded. They said it might mean that the item was not scanned, which just sounds like poor organizational procedures, or empty excuses. The agent said they escalated the issue, but I didn’t hear anything back. If Amazon has such clarity about delivering, tracking and dispatching, how can they have such poor transparency about returned items? Finally, after over 3 weeks from posting the item, I now have the full refund. I will certainly think twice in the future about using Amazon when there is an alternative available.

I had one of the worst shopping experiences on Amazon. The seller sent me a completely different product from what was advertised — a clear scam that many other customers have also reported in the reviews.
I contacted the seller more than five times asking for a valid return label, because the one provided is not accepted by An Post in Ireland. The seller never responded, not even once, since the 8th.
I contacted Amazon support four times, and every agent told me something different. In the end, Amazon refused my refund, even though the product is “not as described,” which is a clear violation of Irish and EU consumer rights. I was told to wait another 7 days, then possibly another period, without any real solution. Meanwhile, I am stuck with a product I cannot return because no one is providing a valid return label.
I feel completely unprotected as a customer. If I had known the purchase was from a third-party seller, I would never have ordered it. Amazon failed to act, failed to intervene, and failed to protect the consumer, even with clear evidence of misconduct by the seller.
This experience has turned into unnecessary stress, wasted time, and a feeling of being scammed — not only by the seller, but by Amazon’s refusal to solve a simple and obvious issue.

3x received used items
Three times I've got items that were used before. Paid for brand new. Scratches and dirt on all of them. Not even mentioning delays on deliveries and other random incidents.
2 attempts to order an electronic…
2 attempts to order an electronic inflatable bed. First time order was just cancelled the next day and payment refunded. Second attempt tracking details were incorrectly updated and kept saying no delivery date yet available. Then order was updated as being delivered almost 2 weeks previous. With a photo of the package in a bin that had since been collected and emptied. No option but to get a refund (pending) as stock was coming from the uk and not now available. Very frustrating

Estoy muy decepcionada con este pedido. Ha pasado más de un mes desde que lo realicé y el paquete todavía no ha llegado.
Además, intenté contactar con Amazon llamando a un número que me indicaron para confirmar el envío y me cobraron cerca de 40 € por esa llamada, lo cual me parece totalmente inaceptable.
Espero una solución inmediata, ya sea el reembolso completo o el envío urgente del producto, y también la devolución del dinero cobrado por la llamada.
Hasta ahora, la experiencia ha sido muy negativa.

I'm guessing Amazon.ie won't last that long. The customer service is really bad, as well as the returns and refunds process. We returned an item and Amazon know it was picked up by AnPost but because it got lost in their warehouse they are making us wait one month from when we sent it back before they will look into what has happened. You can't allow a customer wait over one month to know if they are getting a refund or not, when the issue had nothing at all to do with the customer. Really bad customer service from a company that prides itself on its customer centric approach. I bet Jeff Bezos is not aware of the shenanigans going on in Amazon.ie.

Used to be a big Amazon fan, it’s gone to the dogs! Delivery charges , order delays , items not turning up. I’ve had to phone them to chase refunds due.
My recent order came in about 5 separate deliveries
My recent order came in about 5 separate parts, so instead of Amazon.ie packaging everything together into 1 box, for a better carbon footprint, my postman made 5 trips to my house. In this day and age, should the big companies not be setting the example? They potentially have massive influence over other companies' packaging and logistics, but still do not want to learn or push the important lessons about carbon footprint.
Parcels delivered to the wrong address
So far all my parcels have been delivered to the wrong address. Even though we asked so many times for them to update it, nothing happened so far.
Today again , got a parcel delivered somewhere else , and not even an apology from Amazon or we will fix it.

Impossible to find email on site to contact customer care. Chat with bot was useless. I have video record of delivery driver dropping NOT MINE parcel to my door, taking picture as delivered, and MY PARCEL IS MISSING! AWFUL SERVICE AND NO ONE TO COMPLAIN!!!!

Moved to Amazon ie from the U.K. prime after years of no issues. First order - said it was out for delivery all day and then after 8pm said it would be another 3 days. Absolutely unacceptable - how on earth is prime from another country quicker? Cancelled my prime after reading this is far from an isolated incident and will return to Amazon Uk. Dismal experience

I bought a chocolate fountain for 260 euro. We got a email to say it was delivered witch no one signed for. Then we rang delivery company we got a photo of it at the end of a road not at our house we went their and item wasn't their. After hours on phone and delivery company even said they wer at fault . Amazon won't give a refund or the seller I have chocolate I can't use a item not delivered and I just keep getting messed around every day I would advise people to stay away from Amazon and bye local or with a trust worthy site

Why launch the Irish version of Amazon and then deliver a rubbish delivery service? When I ordered from .co.uk delivery was perfect. Irish Amazon has a different approach. They don’t seem to care about timely delivery. Seriously, what is going on? So disappointed

I have two outstanding orders with Amazon ie. One has been with UPS and all I keep getting is a failed attempted delivery notification daily. Another package is coming from France via FedEx and hasn't even moved in a week. Both are overdue. Amazon.ie is a complete fiasco. My Temu orders from China are always on time or early. I'm done with Amazon!
