The worst company . They are dishonest thieves. Make sure do not use this company they do fraud with customer a month ago they recharged my account $25 and after a month when I call to my country they say the minutes is expired. They didn’t tell me about minutes expiration. And they didn’t send me any notice about it i was regular customer of this company but more than ten 10 year it’s so sadness.be careful my dear friends.

Junky service
Junky service. I was told that my $5 would be refunded if I was having bad connections. I got "unattended" 3 times when I called but a minute wss taken off each time. I finally got through to my wife one time there was a lot of static and metal noises I could hardly hear her. I tried the next day and instead of my 3 or 4 attempts to be connected to her, I got a message that I did not have enough credit and I needed to top off my credit. 2 minutes were taken off my minutes for each of these calls. I complained at their 800# and I was told that these minutes would be added back on the message I was getting would be investigated and that this would be done in an hour. I waited an hour and the minutes wers not added to my remaining total and their message that I did not have enough credit and needed to top off ti make the call was still there and anithef 2 minutes was taken off. I call the main office and spoke with Able who told me Amantel would not return my purchase amount because I had used minutes. I explained that the minutes being taken off my total were for calls not connected except for one in which I could hardly here my wife. He stuck to his lie - "You used minutes, we won't return your money. Stay away from Amantel. Buy minutes even if they cost a few cents more per minute from a better company such as Rebtel.

Amantel is a fraud. Call drops, 3 minutes taken away per 1 second calls.
I bought a $50 calling credit. I was given about 650 call minutes. Yet, I have not been able to make more than 20 minutes successful calls out of the 500 minutes that they have taken away from me.
Now, the minutes have been reduced to 160 minutes from 650 minutes. I have called several times to ask why 3 minutes are taking from me for 1 second call drop. they remove 3 minutes per second call made even when they calls are dropping.
The calls are inaudible and often drops multiple times (frequently)
I have called them more than 20 times and they promised to fix the problem, yet, nothing has been done and no time has been refunded back. I called now and the customer care service provider that attended to me was so rude, to the extent that he told me that my concern wasn't his problem and not his concern.

I have been buying credit from this company for almost 3 yea and just realized today that they are cheating thieves and robbers. I buy the calling about monthly or sometimes twice in a month. I was trying to get a little Easter promo but there didn’t have. So I bought 140 minutes as I needed to make some urgent calls.
I made 3 calls, each not up to a minute. I call another number and it says I have 129 minutes left. How do I move from 141 to 129 minutes. So I called and explained what just happed and this fool tells me that they took three minutes for ever one minute. I don’t understand. I called 20 seconds actually cost me three minutes. This is the biggest worse scam I have ever seen. They are guys are criminals

Amantel is a fraud company. There is no customer care and no one speaks to you directly. Its always via email ****@amantel.com which is suspicious and dodgy. Worst service and they charge premium money to call to India from UK. If you want to get ripped off then use Amantel...use other service/cards to call to India.

This is the worst company out there customer care is below average and rude. The calling service to kenya is very poor always giving busy tone or incorrect pin. They may be blocked by Safaricom since they piggyback on their lines. I spent considerable amount of time with customer service they provided with different local calling numbers but we kept getting incorrect pin. The agent lied about calling my family member from their end and getting thro. They provide bottom of barrel service i regret signing up my family member to their service. Worst calling card company when it comes to promises provided by sales person. I purchased calling card worth $50 last year. This May 2021, two months before my card expiry; sales person called to say i had still $35 worth left and if i do not renew; I will lose my credit. So i renewed it for another year. Till last week; I had more than 6000 minutes left. Just today, when I tried to call; it says I do not have any credit left. No one answers customer service. I now had to make critical calls to India using my phone's service which is much costlier.
Never going to use Amantell again. They have defrauded me.

I agree with the point that Amantel is a fraudulent mindset company. Being their active current customer I am pissed off on them. After I paid them $5 for the first time, the credit card I used for payment was hacked. Second time, one lady called that I am low on minutes,I need to recharge with their new promotion, I asked her to check my minutes left. She would not and kept on insisting I get the new deal. Openly lied to me,I had over 80% of minutes left. Immediately after I hung up after talking to the supervisor, on the same day, some one made attempt to charge the same credit card fraudulently on line. Apparently their website is not secured and your credit card information gets stolen. Either by their known folks or scammers. Some one from Israel used it successfully first time to pay for some paid Google apps, second time it failed to pay for the similar Google apps because I had reported the fraudulent charge and card was hotlisted. Beware of Amantel app. It was proven dangerous to me.

Cheap yes, but very poor line quality
At the time this seemed very cheap / £5 for 60 minutes to Kenya. Initial set up was disastrous as I had to contact Customer Service. None of their access numbers were working. It is true that their agent did stay on the problem but all he could do was say try again tomorrow.
Tomorrow came and without any difficulty after I’d entered PIN/authorisation code and my recipient’s phone number, I was connected. BUT, line quality is very poor and there is obviously a delay in words reaching the other end. To ensure you can hear each other, and know when to talk, you almost need to say “over” when you’ve finished speaking so the other person knows they can start.
I definitely won’t be buying another package. It’s worth pointing out that although I dial a UK-looking number, at the other end the call appears like it’s coming from a Kenyan mobile!
Fraudulent International Calling Company Practice
Amantel is probably the worst International phone calling company out there. Firstly, I receive only 50% minutes I purchase. I lost minutes on unanswered and dropped calls and after buying minutes, I get error messages that I do not have enough credit to make the call and have to try again for the call to go through. Furthermore, Amantel keeps credit card information without my authorization which is against the Law (under the The US Federal Consumer Credit Protection Act). I started complaining after discovering my loses and my lost minutes credited. The problem is, one must keep tracking the ripped off minutes even though AMANTEL has a record and, you cannot complain after the minutes are depleted. On Oct. 14, 2020 I was frustrated with Pinto, one of Amantel's CS Rep..He acted extremely unprofessionally after I requested my account be credited for lost minutes as a result of the error messages, unanswered and dropped calls. He refused and implied I was lying even after requesting him to check my calling history. I asked to speak to the supervisor Mr. Jonge and Pinto responded Jonge wasn't working and that I shouldn't be expecting him to be working 24/7 and to call another time. Jonge had told me to call him directly at ext. 7020 with unresolved issues. I told Pinto he was the most unprofessional CSR I ever dealt with. I have not dealt with Amantel ever since but I complained to my regular Amantel CSR Karan, and told him I would be writing a bad a review on my overall bad experience.

I purchased minutes from Amantel and found their service horrible. Calls constantly dropping after about 10 minutes. Today the number I usually call to initiate my long-distance call was a dead line. After several tries, I contacted their customer service. That representative put me through to his supervisor but I ended up with a dead line. I called back and requested to speak to the supervisor again. I did get him this time but couldn't hear him for the children screaming in the background. Long story short, they would not refund the balance of my account. Their service is horrible and the customer service not professional. I would never recommend them.
