Mr. Day and his team were professional and comprehensive from my first appointment. My surgery was delayed due to dryness in one of my eyes and, although initially disappointing, this gave me added confidence that any treatment given would be in my best interest. The team were supportive and reassuring on the day of my surgery and the aftercare has been excellent. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr. Day and his team. Thank you all.

I received a very thorough eye test and was made very aware by Mr Day what the outcome would be. The result was, in fact, the best possible.

I visited Alex Day's clinic in March 2023 as I had cataract. Mr Day and his colleagues examined my eyes and I was advised by Mr Day that I had no vision in my left eye and 25% vision in my right eye. I was advised to have cataract surgery by laser treatment and to have EDOF lens implants. I went to Moorfields on the 1st and 15th April 2023 and accordingly had the treatment as recommended. The outcome has been extremely good and my vision is almost 100%. I do not need to wear glasses for long and medium distances, but do need glasses for reading and close work. Mr Day and his colleagues are clearly expert and I was reassured by Mr Day during the treatment process. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr. Day and his team.

The whole experience at the clinic with Dr Day, Alex, and other staff members was examplary of proffesionalism and competence. Great result from the operation too. Can't recommend them enough.

The only thing better than Alex's surgical skill is his patience and compassion.

I was an 'outsider' case for LASIK treatment (long sighted with +2.75 / +4, including lazy eye and astigmatism) and came to Alex at Moorfields for an initial consultation just to find out if I was even a potential candidate, after several friends and family had had successful laser eye surgery.

Alex was kind, careful and thoughtful from the beginning, treated me with the greatest respect as a person and a patient, and provided detailed insight and professional recommendations which provided me with the rigorous information that I needed in order to make the right decision for me.

He clearly explained what the risks were, how the procedure would work, the precise ways in which that might present certain risks, and what those risk levels were, which helped me feel confident going into surgery.

The tests beforehand and the surgery were done efficiently, professionally and rigorously, and every step was explained to me.

My recovery was straightforward and rapid.

A particular thanks also to his team, including Aurelia, who were friendly, kind and professional from start to finish.

Pros: In my initial assessment with Mr Day, he advised that I was suited for transPRK to treat myopia and high astigmatism. I did have an initial assessment with a different clinic for Lasik, but chose to go with Mr Day because he was very professional and thorough in explaining the procedure. The other clinic did not mention transPRK at all and also pressured me into committing to the surgery immediately, which I did not appreciate.

With Mr Day and his team, I felt reassured going into the surgery that they had taken great care with the preparation and it would go smoothly, which it did. I now have 6/5 unaided vision in both eyes (better than 20/20) and did not have any complications whatsoever during recovery and the following 15 months. The results have been life-changing and I no longer have to worry about my eyesight at all, which is unbelievable to me!

Cons: I experienced long waiting times whenever I had an afternoon/evening appointment at the clinic. The aftercare details (what and how much medication to take) was explained to me on the day of the surgery, a bit too quickly and some of it was after the procedure when I was feeling groggy and not able to understand it properly. I was surprised by how painful the first 2 days of recovery were, and would not have managed to take care of myself (food/bathroom/medication) if it hadn't been for my partner. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I would have preferred to have more realistic expectations for the first couple of days. However, things did improve significantly each day, and by day 3, I was already more bored than in pain.

Overall, I am rating my experience with Mr Day and his team 5 stars because it was 100% worth it for such a fantastic result. I have not regretted my decision for one second and would recommend his service to anyone else.

I had multi lens replacement surgery in February 2023. I am more than happy with the results. From initial consultation to discharge Alex Day demonstrated considerable knowledge and expertise. Information was given verbally, through computer generation and through handouts to ensure complete understanding of the process, expectations and post op care. The surgery took place Saturday morning and Alex telephoned me Sunday evening to discuss my recovery thus far.
Aurelia his personal assistant was also attentive and very helpful throughout the whole process. The whole team were friendly and efficient.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to mr day. After 50 years of wearing contact lenses I had lens exchange cataract surgery and I now have 20 20 vision and can read fine print.
