Arrived early and everything was ready
Arrived early and everything was ready. Very clean and cosy. Great dog friendly garden. Lovely bedding and towels. Cottage was close to all amenities that Thorpeness has to offer. We would use this cottage again

Super king beds
Company was able to guide me to a property that had a superking bed . However it would be better if this could be a filter when looking for a property on line. It is hard work going through property after property. If only more owners put in zip and link super kings - it would give them so much more flexibility.

If there's a problem help is available
The property I had rented was great, but there were a few minor problems, TV reception, WiFi and heating control.
The TV reception turned out to be an area problem with Freeview due to high pressure in the atmosphere during my stay.
The other problems were sorted quickly. When I rang the office there was someone who answered, even out of office hours. It meant I wasn't hassled or frustrated and it didn't spoil my holiday. In fact I felt supported. Thank you.

Smooth booking process and great…
Smooth booking process and great communication from Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages. We spent the bank holiday weekend at Salt Cellar Cottage, it’s a great location, clean and adequately equipped house, however a sofa in the main living room area and a couple of the beds are showing serious signs of age and really were uncomfortable. It’s a shame for an otherwise great property.

We are really sorry to hear you did not find the beds and sofas very comfortable. We take these issues very seriously as we know how important it is to feel comfortable and relaxed when booking a stay away. We are talking to the owner now about replacing the sofas and mattresses. Fabulous place to stay
Fabulous place to stay. Just as the description stated! Plenty of parking, close to Snape and Aldeburgh. Wonderful weather so the only thing missing was a hot tub! Very clean and airy. Easy to book and to contact.

Frequent renters, love it, just needs a bit of updating.
Place is always clean and tidy and well equipped. Didn't score 5 as the windows in the front room are all screwed shut - I know they have leaked badly in the past, but it would have been lovely to open the windows. Recognise it is very costly to replace. Also floors could do with a bit of updating - very noisy.

Just to explain, the front room windows have been fixed shut for safety, as the owner is mindful of the window seat and the potential risk, especially for children. We do understand it would be nice to open them, and we’re looking into how this could be done safely.

The house had all facilities and was ideal for 8 West Country golfers. Would thoroughly recommend.

From the moment we booked to the very end of our holiday, the team were absolutely fantastic. Travelling from Australia to the UK via the Middle East came with its challenges, and throughout it all they were incredibly supportive, caring, and reassuring. They truly went above and beyond to listen to our concerns, respond promptly, and make us feel completely supported every step of the way.
Alde Bay Farm – Barn Owl Sanctuary was absolutely amazing and the perfect setting for our family gathering. The house exceeded our expectations and made our time together truly special.
You will be very lucky if you have the opportunity to book this beautiful property and work with such a wonderful, thoughtful team. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
