I had such an amazing experience studying abroad with AIFS in Granada, Spain. The program is set up very well with lots of support resources along the way for arranging pre-departure documents and procedures. The on-site staff are so welcoming and helpful, they felt like family. The connections that I made within my program were due to all of the AIFS organized events that they arranged. My home stay was perfect for me, AIFS provided me with the perfect accommodation. The AIFS led excursions to Morocco, Gibraltar, and Seville were very fun and well planned. Another reason I specifically chose AIFS was because of their visa service, which saved me a trip to the Chicago consulate office (8hrs from me). I would absolutely recommend going abroad with AIFS to anyone looking to study abroad.

I only did a summer abroad in London but it will always be the greatest experience in my life. The excursions were great and it was nice when I got my me time to go anywhere I wanted to during the weekends and Fridays. Definitely a great experience to cherish forever

The program did a fantastic job balancing the academic side of the study abroad, and the travelling and cultural experiences.

The city was beautiful, and the university was an amazing place to study in. Many of my session group mates are already talking about trying to make it back.

I liked when we did excursions, but I disliked when they were frequently canceled with little notice. I disliked that I was not able to participate in the cooking class (I wasn't allowed to go first session even though I was not available to go second session).

All of the guided tours and planned excursions were very well put together, with a great blend of touring and free time to explore. The group leaders were very good throughout my time in Berlin.

I felt very supported during this experience. I really loved my internship and had a great time! The AIFS team was really there when I needed and I feel really grateful being able to intern in Ireland. I love Galway and really had a magical experience.

AIFS was the perfect choice for my study abroad experience. The entire process, from applying to arriving and eventually returning home, was smooth and well-supported. They provided assistance at every step of the journey, ensuring that we had the help we needed while abroad.

AIFS included housing in the program, which was a huge relief compared to other students who had to arrange their own accommodations. The provided dorm was comfortable and hassle-free, with maintenance available and no concerns about rent or appliances. Additionally, AIFS supplied us with bus passes and heritage cards, which allowed us to explore heritage sites for free and navigate the city with ease.

The program also took care of essential administrative tasks, such as securing our visas, which simplified the process significantly. Signing up for classes was straightforward, and having an advisor like Sharon to support us on-site made the transition into the new environment much smoother. Overall, AIFS’s comprehensive support system and thoughtful inclusions made my study abroad experience exceptionally positive and stress-free.
AIFS has so many different study or intern abroad locations. I personally chose Ireland. Our Irish advisor was super sweet and patient. She helped us in times of need and the trips she took us on were amazing. She exposed us to activities I would never have thought of doing; such as vintage tea tours, sporting events, and an Irish farm experience.

The excursions and placement made the experience an enjoyable time. All the other interns were super friendly and we had a great time exploring! Karen was an absolute help in making sure AIFS was exceeding our expectations. 100% made me want to go visit Galway again!

I had a great experience with the AIFS program: the staff was lovely and super helpful, they had many great events and activities planned, and I had a fantastic time overall!

During my stay in Salamanca I was able to participate in guided city walks, museum visits, tapas tours, and Spanish cooking and dance classes. Furthermore I had the opportunity to live with a Spanish family, this was definitely a highlight of my study abroad experience. It offered me a deep dive into the local culture and language, and I feel like my Spanish skills have improved significantly as a result.

The staff was very helpful and the planned excursions were great and helped explore Berlin even more. Planning the accomidations were a great help, as we were close to people we would become familar with.

I had a great experience overall. I loved my internship placement and had a great experience at my job. I also loved my roommates and the friends that I made especially cause I went alone. Cassidy was super helpful the entire experience and was always quick to respond! The planned events were awesome as well. I would definitely recommend AIFS internship summer program!

I was part of the 8-week summer internship program in Barcelona, Spain this summer and it was truly an experience I will never forget! I was able to practice my skills and learn about different cultures and how we are able to create great ideas and still have meaningful connections. This experience mixed many things I love and many things I was looking to try and it really taught so much about myself that I did not even know! Not to mention the city was beautiful and had it all! Barcelona will always be in my heart! ❤️

AIFS did such a great job with making it an experience to remember! I met wonderful people in my placement and gained valuable insight into my field all while being in an incredible location and getting to experience the French culture! I would absolutely recommend doing an internship abroad with AIFS!

Studying abroad through AIFS was great because we had a built-in friend group upon arriving. Some cultural experiences organized by AIFS have insight into the host country below surface level. AIFS staff was more than willing to help out in any way possible, from planning trips to handling injuries to providing entertainment and resources.

I interned in Florence for two months and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! I was paired with the perfect internship and made the most out of every experience. I was able to work during the week and travel on the weekends. I even improved on my Italian! I would recommend this to someone who is looking to experience a new city and immerse themselves in the culture.

The program matched me with a great company for my internship, I learned a lot about working in a workplace environment and they were extremely supportive of me throughout.

The experience was great because I met new friends and found new places all in 8 weeks. This program is prepared well and has good health care coverage.

My summer in Galway was nothing short of amazing. I didn't really know what to expect going into it because it's not a huge city like Dublin or London, but Galway exceeded my expectations. The city is gorgeous & lively all of the time. There are so many cute shops that are fun to look around in. The Tiny Traders Village was my favorite thing to do on the weekends because I love looking at and buying things from local crafters. The day trips we took to Inishmore (Aran Islands) and Connemara were also incredible! I loved being able to immerse myself into the true Irish culture. I read somewhere once that if you want a true Ireland experience, go to Galway because it's the cultural capital. That wasn't wrong at all. I am so happy I chose Galway. Our location advisor is also incredible. She gave us the best advice on where to go, how to get there, or other things to do. This was by far the best summer of my life, and I'm already planning my return to Galway. :)

My experience was amazing and was placed in an internship that matched my career path and skill set! The planned trips through AIFS was phenomenal with my personal highlight of a beautiful Blue Mountains hike!
