A Eviter absolument... preuves à l'appui

Pour déménager de France au Qatar à titre personnel, j'ai choisi AGS car j'avais déjà déménagé avec eux via mon ancien employeur (expatriation d'entreprise).
Ce fut UNE GRAVE ERREUR:
- le prix "tout inclue" n'inclue pas tout; il y a de nombreux frais cachés alors qu'ils semblent évident (par exemple, j'ai du payer 10% supplémentaire car le transporteur ne pouvait pas livrer un container 40 pieds au 39e etage d'une tour en plein centre-ville... non inclus alors que totalement prévisible... et logique!!!)
- mon déménagement a prix deux fois plus de temps que prévu. A priori, parce qu'ils ont oublié de charger mes affaires sur le bateau initialement prévu et qu'ils attendaient le suivant (moins cher?). De plus, ils ont décidé de charger à Montoir-de-Bretagne (tout petit port) alors qu'il y a Nantes et St-Nazaire à côté...
- le jour de l'arrivée, j'ai du patienter toute la journée, car le message était "nous arrivons dans 15'"... pendant 5 heures!
- il y a eu de nombreux dommages, aussi bien à l'emballage qu'au déballage. Dommages qui ont été correctement référencés, sur des objets précisément listés dans l'inventaire avec un prix clair... mais qui n'ont pas été payés!!: L'assureur imposant un remboursement "partiel" car les objets n'étaient pas "totalement" détruits... (meubles, objets de décoration, couverts). Le plus bel exemple est une armoire dont des étagères et un côté sont cassés... mais comme elle tient encore debout, le remboursement n'est que partiel!!!
- le remboursement des dommages a pris des semaines, car ils ne pouvaient pas référencer mon compte bancaire... alors que c'était le même compte que celui qui avait servi à les payer au début!!!
Conclusion: JE DECONSEILLE FORTEMENT.

The worst moving company ever !

It took them 5.5 months to move 9.5 m3 from Senegal to Luxembourg. They never gave us any feedback as to why we could not get our belongings, with not a single person designated to address our concern, despite 8 to 9 people always on cc in emails. Worse, they did not brief the subcontractor they appointed to make our move in Luxembourg, who had no tools for putting our furniture together or even opening our boxes, even though it was in the contract. These guys had no intent to even open the boxes (!), and to make matters worse, they scratched our staircase, broke some belongings, and did not even respond to our claim. Yet we paid all upfront, including the insurance that was supposed to cover all possible damage.
Finally, the manager of their local subsidiary (Lorraine, East of France) was rude and unhelpful when we 'dared ' to raise the issue . Never, ever did we see such a low level of responsiveness and a lack of professionalism after 40 years of moving around...

Missing things

Move from Croatia to Italy, preparing my things 3500.00 eu, for two days,of making boxes, 19 months of storage 7600.00 EU and request of 8120.00 EU !!! for transport, which i had to decline, asking some other transporter to bring my things to me . Then after opening a quantity of my boxes, i find out that a lot of my property were gone. Missing Cristal decor vases, furniture,a lot of glass things for house,paintings, also a lot of family records, i mean missing things belong to my parents. Its impossible to new what is missing exactly, because a big volume of my things.. So they told me a rubbery was happen by my transporter, and that thay are not in discussione that way. 19 months of storage and broken and wet furniture plus missing things is not a problem for a group who work in Zagreb Croatia. It s not a big deal.Its my fault that after paying amount of money , i do not accept to pay 8120.0 EU, to get my things transporter by AGS, but i had to find another transporter who ask me a real money import for that job. A half of what their propose was . And after giving them all my family things, i lost control above my storage things, then when they take them ,i lost any control,their sistem they could do anything, also moving my things from one storage place to another, by the way. So now i lost a lot of family records, and valute, cannot tell them what Is stolen, cause they didn t make a list of everything in the boxes,and they move all the responsability to the one and unique person who s innocent and did his job professionally, bringing to me all the boxes from deposit in Croatia.

Helping themselves to a box that didn't belong to them!?!!

Yesterday my husband told me he saw something not right when the guys with AGS were unloading our stuff in 2022.

He never told me that when he went to check the truck before they drove off, he saw a large flat wooden box that came with & protected one of our paintings. The painting had been shipped to us a few years before in that box. My husband knew the painting was in the house, but what was the box still doing in the truck??! Not only that, but to secure or open the box a screwdriver was necessary! So they had used a screwdriver to open the box, took the painting out and were about to drive off. Clearly, AGS needs to exercise more security when hiring movers! I’m glad I didn’t hire them to load our precious-to-us stuff!!!

Poor - management don't care

We had a simple removal of our house contents from Poland to Italy. All went well - the guys on the ground were good. The problem was the terms. We only found out a few weeks before the move that we were expected to pay 100% of the fee (over 10k euro) up front before the removal even took place. We objected to this, pointing out that this left us no recourse if the service was not as advertised or something was broken and that this demand was excessive. We were in touch with the deputy manager Europe (I think) who in classic management babble 'explained' that while he valued our opinion absolutely no flexibility (well, they let us pay 90% instead of 100) would be shown and that they have been doing this with their hundreds of customers for years. As we had already signed the contract we could do nothing. 3 months after the move, I received a phonecall from the truck driver they outsourced the job to (they don't seem to use their own trucks - the photos are a con) asking me to call them since he hadn't been paid the 2600 euro he was supposed to get for the job. I think that says all you need to know about how this company operates. The little guys doing a good job get probably half of what you are charged and they also screw everyone over by taking the money as soon as possible and paying it out as late as possible. Rapacious capitalism. All the while talking about how 'fair' and 'transparent' they are.

AGS gives poor advice to customers in decision making and do not take responsibility. Be careful !!!

I have very serious concerns regarding my experience with AGS Cambodia. The lack of professionalism and guidance provided to a new hire relocating to Ghana is highly concerning. The team recommended a significantly more expensive option without offering the customer the opportunity to choose a more cost-effective alternative. When this issue was raised, the response from AGS Cambodia staff was rude and disrespectful.

Even after escalating the matter to their head office, the situation was not handled appropriately. Staff at the head office declined to accept responsibility and instead placed blame on the customer. This pattern of behaviour reflects poorly on the organisation and falls well below the standard of service we expect when supporting an international relocation. It is the worst experience I have had working with any international moving company for over 14 years and relocated over 200 staff and their families.

Terrible experience with AGS Cambodia

Our experience with AGS has been extremely disappointing. We moved from Cambodia to Ghana. The problems began on packing day when they forgot an item, underestimated its size, and then had to cut it in half to make it fit. And the experience has been horrific ever since. We paid 2,600 dollars to ship used goods worth about 150 dollars and were later hit with an unexpected customs bill when the shipment arrived in Ghana. What should have been simple became costly and stressful.

AGS pushed air freight even though we never requested it and were not in a hurry. No sea freight option was offered. Poor coordination between AGS Cambodia and AGS Ghana resulted in unclear and misleading cost estimates, with most fees calculated from the inflated air freight cost rather than the true value of the goods.

We were then charged extra because the airline originally quoted was no longer shipping to Ghana, forcing a last minute flight change. After waiting more than a month for AGS to review our complaint, we were told we would need to pay additional airport storage fees. This means shipping 150 dollars worth of goods could end up costing close to 4,000 dollars. AGS has refused to take responsibility for any of these charges.

This has been our worst and most expensive international move, and we ultimately chose not to collect our goods because we could not justify spending another cent. We have moved four times internationally so we know that you can have a positive and trustworthy experience with other companies. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and constant unexpected fees make it impossible for us to recommend AGS. We hope this review helps others avoid the same issues.

Mi experiencia con AGS ha sido profundamente decepcionante y estresante. Contraté el servicio para una mudanza internacional, con la promesa de que todo se completaría en un solo día. Incluso pagué el monto completo tal como me solicitaron.

La realidad ha sido totalmente diferente.

El equipo vino, dejó la mudanza a medias, y después de horas de espera, nadie regresó a terminar el trabajo. Sebastian y Karolyn la acount manager de la cuenta me llamó diciendo que llegarían a las 5 pm, pero nunca aparecieron. Nadie respondió el teléfono, nadie avisó, ningún tipo de comunicación.

He pasado todo el día sin muebles, con mis dos hijas pequeñas, esperando una solución que nunca llegó.
Para empeorar la situación, tenía que entregar el apartamento ese mismo día y ahora corro el riesgo de que el propietario me cobre un día adicional por culpa de la irresponsabilidad de AGS.

Mañana tengo mi vuelo a Panamá y sigo sin mis cosas recogidas, sin respuestas y sin un mínimo de respeto por parte de la empresa.

Lo más grave es que, a pesar de este desastre, pretendían cobrarme un contenedor de 40 pies, cuando ni siquiera han cumplido con el servicio básico acordado.

Esta situación ha sido muy injusta, poco profesional e inaceptable para una empresa que se supone experta en mudanzas internacionales.

No recomiendo AGS bajo ninguna circunstancia. Mi experiencia ha sido un caos absoluto, lleno de estrés, falta de profesionalismo y cero responsabilidad por parte del equipo.

Stress-free move.

From my first enquiry about shipping our things from Kuwait back to the UK, Mr Faizi was extremely helpful and all my questions were responded to very quickly, giving me all the information I needed. They provided a range of options for the shipping and were very accurate with all the costing - there were no hidden charges at any point in the process. The team who assessed the size of the shipment and then the team who came and packed up all our things were very professional and efficient. We honestly didn't have to worry about anything - everything was done with real care and attention. The timing of the shipping arriving in the UK was accurate too and Faizi provided regular updates on its progress. I would definitely recommend AGS if you are moving country - it made what could have been a stressful experience so easy and we are very grateful to them for all their professionalism and care given to their work. Highly recommended!

Deeply disappointing relocation experience with AGS/Expérience de déménagement profondément décevante avec AGS

I am sharing my experience to caution anyone considering AGS or any of its affiliates for international relocation.

While the initial sales phase was efficient and responsive, the actual service quality and aftercare were extremely poor. During our family move from Mauritius to Indonesia, there was no oversight or communication from AGS management until the very end of the packing process — when I was suddenly informed that our shipment would not fit into a 20ft container and that we had to upgrade (and pay) for a 40ft one.

Having moved to Mauritius three years earlier with the same volume in a 20ft container, I knew this claim was unreasonable. When we reopened boxes at the warehouse the following day, we discovered inefficient and careless packing — including boxes filled with smaller empty containers such as tupperware, shoe boxes, and storage bins. With proper packing, everything fit easily into the original 20ft container.

Instead of acknowledging this, AGS management insisted their quotation was correct and refused to address the real issue: the poor packing and lack of supervision that caused the problem.

The problems continued when AGS issued an outdated packing list to customs, which caused delays, demurrage, and additional port fees at destination. Despite escalating my complaint to AGS Frasers / Mobilitas in South Africa, which oversees operations in the region, no resolution or acknowledgment was ever received.

I have photographic evidence of the careless packing and the breakages that resulted.

In summary:

- Poorly trained and unsupervised packing team
- Pressure to pay for a larger container due to their own packing errors
- Incorrect documentation causing customs delays and extra charges
- No ownership or accountability at local, regional, or corporate level

AGS’ motto is “You deserve the best.”
That’s absolutely true — but it’s certainly not what you get with AGS.

Je partage mon expérience afin de mettre en garde toute personne envisageant de faire appel à AGS ou à l'une de ses filiales pour un déménagement international.

Si la phase initiale de vente s'est déroulée de manière efficace et réactive, la qualité du service et le suivi après-vente ont été extrêmement médiocres. Lors du déménagement de notre famille de l'île Maurice vers l'Indonésie, il n'y a eu aucune supervision ni communication de la part de la direction d'AGS jusqu'à la toute fin du processus d'emballage, lorsque j'ai soudainement été informé que notre chargement ne rentrerait pas dans un conteneur de 20 pieds et que nous devions passer à un conteneur de 40 pieds (et payer le supplément).

Ayant déménagé à l'île Maurice trois ans plus tôt avec le même volume dans un conteneur de 20 pieds, je savais que cette demande était déraisonnable. Lorsque nous avons rouvert les cartons dans l'entrepôt le lendemain, nous avons découvert un emballage inefficace et négligé, notamment des cartons remplis de petits conteneurs vides tels que des boîtes Tupperware, des boîtes à chaussures et des bacs de rangement. Avec un emballage approprié, tout rentrait facilement dans le conteneur de 20 pieds d'origine.

Au lieu de reconnaître cela, la direction d'AGS a insisté sur le fait que son devis était correct et a refusé de traiter le véritable problème : le mauvais emballage et le manque de supervision qui étaient à l'origine du problème.

Les problèmes ont continué lorsque AGS a remis une liste de colisage obsolète aux douanes, ce qui a entraîné des retards, des surestaries et des frais portuaires supplémentaires à destination. Malgré l'escalade de ma plainte auprès d'AGS Frasers / Mobilitas en Afrique du Sud, qui supervise les opérations dans la région, aucune résolution ni reconnaissance n'a jamais été reçue.

J'ai des preuves photographiques de l'emballage négligent et des dommages qui en ont résulté.

En résumé :
- Équipe d'emballage mal formée et non supervisée
- Pression pour payer un conteneur plus grand en raison de leurs propres erreurs d'emballage
- Documents incorrects entraînant des retards douaniers et des frais supplémentaires
- Aucune responsabilité ni obligation de rendre des comptes au niveau local, régional ou de l'entreprise

La devise d'AGS est « Vous méritez le meilleur ».
C'est tout à fait vrai, mais ce n'est certainement pas ce que vous obtenez avec AGS.

Depuis le début de votre dossier, reçu auprès de nos services depuis le mois de juin 2025, nous avons pris soin d’examiner attentivement chacun de vos points, de vous écouter, de procéder à l’analyse en profondeur des faits en concertation avec notre agence de Maurice, notre direction régionale et notre direction générale.
Nous vous avons écouté, analysé tous les aspects de votre plainte. Vous avez finalement décidé de procéder à votre déménagement en « Door to Port » et non en « Door to Door » comme initialement prévu.

Comme indiqué dans notre précédent courrier, cette analyse complète n’a pas mis en évidence d’élément permettant de retenir une faute ou un manquement de la part d’AGS. À ce jour, aucun fait nouveau ne justifie la réouverture de votre réclamation ou une révision de notre décision.
Cela n’enlève rien à l’attention portée à votre situation.

nonchalance et amateurisme au mépris du client

ça a commencé par la livraison des cartons que j'ai dû solliciter et insister pour les obtenir 5 jours avant le déménagement. M Deléage voulait me les livrer l'avant veille et mon insistance l'a "gonflé" (sic), terme entendu avant qu'il raccroche. J'apprends à la fin d'un mail que ma moto n'avait pas pu être embarquée le 5 septembre, comme prévu. Pas un mot d'excuses ni de justification : erreur d'estimation du cubage, préférence pour un autre client à mon détriment ? Pas de réponse ni de nouveau délai annoncé. Il a fallu que j'insiste pour apprendre qu'elle devrait être embarquée le 18 ou le 19 octobre au lieu du 5 septembre. en attendant, je suis condamné à louer un véhicule à mes frais bien sûr sans dédommagement ni geste commercial. Alors que pour le reste du déménagement, le bateau est arrivé à bon port le 4 octobre, quand je demande la date probable de la livraison du déménagement, il m'est répondu qu'il y a trop d'intervenants sur ce dossier pour que réponse puisse m'être donnée. Bref aucune visibilité, aucun respect du client, pas un mot d'excuse ni de perspective. Je décommande très vivement cette entreprise plus prompte à encaisser votre argent qu'à rendre le service pour lequel elle est payée (8 000 €)

AGS - promise the best but deliver the worst

I relocated with my family from Paris to Vienna due to a work assignment. I booked with AGS France and paid for the complete package that includes everything from packing to unpacking and montage of all my inventory. AGS only delivered the inventory leaving 200+ boxes unpacked in the ground floor of our new house and are unwilling to compensate me for not completing the contract, finding excuses for why they could not complete and why no compensation is warranted. They did not try to help me and my family to find a solution to get started in a new country as they claimed they were too busy. Completely unreliable service and I had to chase them at every turn to get dates/answers to my questions making the whole moving experience a constant worry.

Kommunikation war nur top, wenn es darum ging Hafen- oder Zollgebühren zu bezahlen (das bitte innert Minuten, sonst verzögert sich die Auslieferung wieder um Tage oder Wochen, damit Hafengebühr noch teurer wird). Die versprochene Erstattung lässt jetzt schon wochenlang auf sich warten. Container wurde ohne Bewilligung geöffnet, spätabends im Dunkeln geliefert, keine Kontrolle möglich, sofort Empfang als vollständig quittieren müssen. Anfragen werden nur mit: "wir halten sie auf dem Laufenden" beantwortet und keiner nimmt mehr meine Anrufe entgegen.

Terrible Communication

Terrible Communication. I regret having gone with this company even though two close friends warned me about their bad experience with them. I went with them because the person they sent to my house seemed very professional and represented the company in a very positive way. However, I have never seen or heard of him again. Instead, I was asked to pack my things early May "So I could get it delivered by August"... they picked it up May 6th only to leave Doha May 28th... why did they have to pack it 3 weeks early? First red flag. Then, I was asked to fill out all these documents. I did. A month later I kept on receiving more documents to do and more and more. So I did them, but when I would respond, I never got a "Thanks, we have received it and all looks fine." It was I was sending it to space. I emailed to ask if things were ok and right, no response.... June 25th I arrive to Switzerland and sent them the last few papers, asked again if everything was ok, no answer. 2 MONTHS LATER... I get an email saying the paper I sent June 15th was incorrectly done and that I needed something different, and that it all had to be done within days because the container was arriving to port and the stress began. Fill out the 18.44 paper (as if I worked at their company and knew what it was) and you need to send the rental contract (which I had) and and and. Daniel Modrego dropped the ball, blamed it on "busy times" (then hire someone or get a different job) and was a total shit. Then Jordan tried to help pick up the pieces and it was so confusing, the custom company had to call me to clear everything up. They even told me AGS was unprofessional. When I told them that, they said that was not true (so they won't take feedback). During this time I was told I was getting my shipment in 3 weeks. Each email mentioned the 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden it said "next week", so when I wrote back to clarify when, I got a nasty email from Jordan saying "we don't know when. You got a groupage package, so we have to wait for someone else to send to Switzerland, this can be in a while, and we cannot do it next week." Yet Daniel sent the email saying "next week", so why am I getting told off? Anyways, that was 2 weeks ago... do you think they have written to give me an update? Do I have all the papers in order? Will it be ok through customs? When should I take time off work to be here? NO ANSWERS, just waiting in the void. You'd think they have done this enough times to have a better idea of things, timing, and how to do good customer service. Moving is a stressful time for anyone, and they don't get that.

Poor communication

Everything was fine with the packing up for our international move but we arranged everything well in advance to ensure that our belongings would be delivered to our home country before we moved on to a new country. This did not happen in the end. The delivery was over a month late. However, the delivery of the shipment was an absolute shambles. The 60 boxes turned up in an artic lorry that could not fit into the estate (despite there being zero communication about access) and a couple of guys who were there to empty the lorry tried to scam my elderly mother in law to pay them to deliver the boxes from the lorry to the house. I have complained but my emails were not acknowledged.
