I bought an adjustamatic chair it worked But has now stopped doing what it was meant to do I phoned the company said it can take 3weeks to come I’m left in pain and 3 wks is a long time to wait and why the long wait is this because they don’t work that long. I’ve just had hip replacement surgery and I’m waiting to have scoliosis spine corset measured so really after paying over £5.000 you’d think I could get more after service when I phoned there was no one at the desk I’m very disappointed with this

Sales rep very polite and helpful and explained everything well and answered all questions delivery was booked and arrived on day with helpful fitting crew

Good service by engineers but bed won’t go down at head height engineer coming Monday

From day one there services was helpful in every way to what bed would suit what colour did I want ,from ordering to actually receiving the bed all went like clock work,the two chaps that delivered and installed the bed were great.

Was wrong colour and for £4,000. I could have got one cheaper sadly I didn’t see them BIG MISTAKE BIG BIG MISTAKE

Not finding bed comfortable, was told there'd be storage space underneath but isn't, was told bed moves back when upright but hardly does, control screen broken off already, and delivery drivers scrapped paint off wall getting it in. Disappointed but too unwell to complain. Won't recommend.

5years ago a friend, whom I am advocating for, purchased a £4.5k Rise and recline chair from Adjustamtic. She has had no follow ups to see how satisfied she is with her chair and in July it broke. We approached Adjustamatic but the after sales has been shocking. Because we live on the Isle of Wight they just do not want to know. They said they had an engineer was coming over in September, bit then failed to arrange a visit to try and repair the chair. This person is a vulnerable adult with multiple health needs. I am disgusted with the way Adjustamatic are treating this person. They should be ashamed and especially their customer service, they need to learn some compassion and manners!

I had a deeply frustrating and exhausting experience with Adjustamatic, and I feel it’s important to share it in full so other customers especially disabled customers know what to expect.

A problem entirely caused by the company dragged on for months. Despite repeatedly trying to resolve the issue directly with them, communication was slow, emails were ignored, and I was left constantly chasing for basic updates. What should have been a straightforward situation became a drawn‑out ordeal that caused significant stress.

The most disappointing part is that Adjustamatic present themselves as a company dedicated to bringing comfort and support to disabled customers. I am disabled, and instead of providing support, their handling of the situation aggravated my condition and made everything harder. The contrast between their marketing and the reality of how they treated me was stark.

Eventually, because I couldn’t get a resolution any other way, I had to pursue the matter through the small claims process. It should never have reached that point, but their lack of communication and unwillingness to resolve the issue left me with no choice.

Even after a settlement was finally agreed and the bed system was collected, the problems continued. The final payment clearly stated in the settlement agreement was delayed and ignored until I chased them multiple times. Again, something simple became unnecessarily stressful.

I will say that the collection team themselves were polite and helpful, but the company’s overall handling of my case was extremely poor from start to finish. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Adjustamatic, and I would urge anyone especially disabled customers to be cautious when dealing with them.

The two delivery staff were very helpful and gave clear instructions on the operation of the chair. They repected my property and were very careful with their handling of what is a heavy chair.

Went to the Ideal Home show in London in Mar/Apr 2026 saw "Adjustamatic" and after 45 mins agreed to purchase a bed BUT only if it would fit into our existing European Kingsize bedframe. I was told an engineer would need to confirm this was possible. In July 2026 the engineer visited, took measurements and advised he would need to speak to someone in the workshop. It is now October 2026, we have heard nothing even after numerous calls. We left several messages on the answerphone (only because no human being actually works in the office it seems) none of which have been replied to. We phoned to request a refund of our deposit because after 7 months we had no contact except for the one visit from the engineer.
The above solicited a reply with an email address which subsequently advised that because we allegedly "cancelled" the order our £1k deposit is forfeit as per their show T&Cs.

Booked for a demonstration had no confirmation and the sells rep did not turn up.
I have now brought an adjustable bed from another company.

Update reply: Iwas given no information on the phone about who the sales rep was no confirmation email was sent the lady on the phone who had rung me told me I was booked in for 10 am on Saturday the 26 of September we waited in all morning sorry to say we were not impressed.I have no other information but this.

The gentleman who came to see me was very knowledgeable not at all pushy

Hi had a very good experience with adjust automatic from the gentleman coming out to measure to make sure I could have the bed inserted into my existing wood bedframe. He was very professional and a very nice person to talk to the two gentleman that came to actually fit the bed, but absolutely superb efficient couldn’t fault them at all. I would recommend the bed to anybody. It is very comfortable and I wished I had bought one sooner.

Mainly getting rid of the swelling of my feet and ankles first thing in the morning

At the moment I’m waiting for my purchase to arrive. My review is based on the above and beyond service that I received from the two men Mike and Pete from the adjustable bed shop in Southampton.
My final purchase has taken months from start to finish due to my health issues.
But through all these months I’ve not had one pushy phone call or rude attitude when I finally called.
Every question I asked was answered and even photos were sent to me to ensure I was making the right choice. Because I live in Somerset hence I couldn’t get to the actual shop.
Both Mike and Pete have been so helpful, friendly, supportive, professional, understanding, cheerful and great to talk to, over the last few months.
I didn’t feel like I was calling a shop, I felt like I was talking to someone I’ve known for years. I actually miss our little chats on the phone ☹️☹️.
I would just like to say that I don’t normally write reviews but I honestly felt that Mike and Pete deserved an acknowledgment for there hard work for their company.
I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for an adjustable bed to avoid the salesman at your house and call SOUTHAMPTON, ADJUSTAMATIC BED STORE direct.

i found the company very intrasagent we asked to exchage a new mattress that was not suitable as i am disabled it was too soft for me too get in and out of bed they declined and they said as i had bought the bed at a reduced price they could not offer a replacement we said we would pay any extra cost involved all they said we had too buy a new matress costing 17hundred pounds so i am now struggling every night and morning which is exhaustingi would not advise any one to buy from this company they obviously do not considor the clients welfare as long as they get a sale

They came in and put our bed together no.pronlem very professional also the gentlemen who came round to talk about the benefits of the bed was very professional 25th of August

Very pleased with the whole experience.
Delivery Guys were very good and built bed quickly!
However the smell/fumes were dreadful for about 4 weeks. we slept in our spare room.
Love the beds now :)

I booked Adjustamatic to visit me with a view to buying a riser recliner which worked out to become rather expensive..even after making my mind up that this was going cost a fortune Chris or Raj recieved a call from his manager advising there was a grande model on a showroom floor and the asking price was £ 1600 Chris told me this would suit my needs so he won me over and I paid a deposit ..a week before delivery I paid another £1000 when delivery arrived to my dismay the chair was found to be too small from its head to its knees it was too small and the seat was not supporting and no lumbar support..now I have to wait 5 weeks for Adjustamatic to remove the rise recliner so I can get my funds back ..what the public don't realise is all rejected furnishings have to be paid by the householder which is taken from the deposits .public please make sure you pay with a credit card as banks are just as liable so they will act for you you merchant to merchant to get your funds reimbursed I bought faulty items never will I contact adjustamatic who obviously will take your money without measuring your weight or height when yhey can just say yes is fine and will suit you..public beware
