Never got parasol, and lied to repeatedly

Ordered a table with 8 chairs and parasol in April. Got the table and chairs and its decent stuff, but available from many places for a little bit more.
The problem is we got told they "forgot" the parasol and would send it down asap. 2 weeks passed, no news. I rang and got told they were waiting on a delivery, so it was never "forgotten". 2 weeks passed, I rang, this time theyre stuck in customs. Ok. Lets wait 2 more weeks. I was then told they were due in 2 days and would be sent out right away. 2 weeks later nothing. I rang again. This time they were "still" sending them out but to be assured it would come soon. Guess what? 2 weeks later nothing. I rang and this time got passed from the receptionist to one of the owners, who said he did send it (but we never got tracking info) and that about 50% of his sent items got lost... bs. So he said he would "send one today and if i get both then lucky you". Its been 2 weeks again today, still nothing. I rang the other day and Wilfred answered while driving and pulled over, said he had bad signal so would ask the warehouse to check and he'd call me back. Never did. Emailed them to say just to refund me or we will go via credit card to claim parasol cost back. Never replied.
We are now going through credit card company to claim the parasol cost back to buy one elsewhere. We advise anyone else to either not expect the parasol or just stay clear, many other sites offer the same stuff. If we werent being lied to the face every 2 weeks and got the parasol then it would be a 5* review as Wilfred was a nice guy when delivering and it is a small business, but dont appreciate the blatant lies after nearly 3 months.

Astonishingly bad customer service, items still missing

Ordered a garden table and chairs in February, was given a delivery date so took a day off work. Waited in all day, nobody came but didn't bother to contact us to tell us of a change of plan. I understand that things unexpectedly happen, but phones exist

Tried to contact them a number of times via email and phone to find out what happened, got no response. We were about to file a PayPal claim assuming that we'd been scammed, when they got back in touch with a new date for delivery in March.

The table and chairs did turn up this time, and the quality is fine. The person who delivered it (seemed to be the owner) was incredibly chaotic, bragged about how disorganised he is and said that if his girlfriend didn't answer emails and do the organisation of the business, he'd be all over the place. Not sure this is something to brag about, all things considered.

Happy with the table and chairs we received, but we're still missing the parasol. We've phoned and emailed 10+ times now and keep getting fobbed off with delivery dates or promises that it will be posted, none of which has been fulfilled, or else we just get ignored. I assume we won't ever receive it, and we're outside of the window to claim on PayPal as we took Adams Teak in good faith for so long.

Comes across as a proper business but this is essentially just a disorganised guy with a van. Items fine if you can actually manage to get them.

No communication and still no parasol

We ordered our garden furniture on the 21st April. They tried to deliver without any communication as to when. So unfortunately we were away. The second time they tried to deliver without any communication again, and luckily enough we happened to be in. However there was no parasol. Unfortunately after many phone calls and emails, still no parasol. Constantly promising to deliver this week, but to be fair they haven’t specified what year!!

Still missing items after 4+ months

Ordered an outdoor table set with chairs, cushions and parasol.

First delivery date I was given passed with nothing delivered. Managed to rearrange it and everything except the parasol was then delivered a week or so later. It seems they do deliveries themselves and there is only 1 van and driver (Wilfred) for the whole country so as you might expect it's very hard to get a concrete date from them.

I ordered March and it's July now and I'm still waiting on the parasol. This is despite over 10 phone calls where I've been assured it's due to be sent out to me by courier time and time again. I doubt it will ever arrive to be honest.

Don't waste your money - the same items are available elsewhere for little extra money. You won't regret spending the extra £50 if it means the whole order arrives. The actual furniture is ok for imported Indonesian teak but Adams Teak is clearly too small to offer nationwide delivery and I can only imagine you'll be on your own if you need any after sales service from them.

Incorrect information at the start.

From the very start on 19th May I had not been given the correct information regarding deliveries. Since then emails and phone calls which most of the time are not answered. The office phones are unmanned, and they do not follow up on messages left. 12th June, I was again expecting my delivery, and the tracking suggested delivery between 1. pm and 3 pm. Nothing. The following morning, the tracking suggested my delivery should have arrived. I finally managed to get through to Wilfred, who was again on the road delivering, and said he was "on his way". I have had to rearrange many appointments as I explained to them. They have my money, and I had nothing to show for it at present. Finally on 14th June, the items arrived, no follow up, a complete mystery. Lovely quality and two cushions for the chair. Worth the wait, but if office staff could give customers correct up to date information, it would be better.

Shoddy Service

Update, 15/07/25
Well another two weeks have passed; no parasol, no contact from company. Now I see from other reviewers that I am not the only one to experience the same problems of missing items and lies about mistakes and blaming delivery problems. SATY AWAY; not worth the few pounds you might save on a a package if the package is not complete or the cushions do not actually match.

Still no Parasol, on order that started 20th of April. I have just emailed asking for a refund for that portion of my order, as my last couple emails have been more of blaming the courier and telling me I will be informed when they catch up with the amount of items being shipped or some other lame excuse.

Well the cushions finally arrived on the 12th of June, remember this order was placed on the 20th of April. They are a similar colour but different fabric. I just looked at website and see it does not actually say 'matching cushions', but one has basic expectations. Sorry I wanted to include photo but do not see how to this in edit mode. colour is a not a match and bench cushions are soft cotton, the chair cushions are a heavy polymer, which is probably rain resistant.

Parasol still has not arrived. When I questioned this on 12th of June when cushions arrived. I was told they were with Royal Mail and had been for 2 weeks. so passing the blame there. No we will follow up or anything of the like. Rather what seemed to be an annoyed tone, that I have asked where were the goods I paid for.

I will update if I ever receive parasol.

The worst company service I have come along for years. I ordered a teak table and chairs, that cam was a set including parasol and cushions. The seating was two peanut benches and two bucket chairs. The delivery was missing the parasol and the cushions for the chairs.

The order was placed on 20th of April, the delivery was on the 25th and I first emailed about the shortage on the 26th.I never received a reply to this email. I followed up again with a second email, on May 4th. I finally received a reply to that message on the 6th, which was apologetic, and said the parson and cushions would be sent out, and that there teams had been busy out on the road.

Two more weeks passed and I heard nothing from the company. I wrote to them again on May 20th, asking when I could expect the rest of my order. On the 26th I finally heard from them, this time blaming their suppliers and telling me that the parasols were due to arrive on the 28th. I replied to this thanking them for finally making contact, and confirming an estimated date for shipping.

I then had confirmation on the 28th that they had received their order from their suppliers and I would get an email about when the rest of my order would be shipped. It is now June 8th and I have not had any contact from the company. It fells like they will just say anything when they finally reply.

It is really sad, because the basic component o the order, the teak table and chair, particularly the chairs of very good quality, and the price was good, if I had actually got the full order, but maybe you would be better off paying a little more and getting what you ordered.
