Adams & Jarrett have been in Norman Road for over 100 years and have existed in its present form since 1965, and is still owned and run by the same family. Adams & Jarrett have gradually expanded to become the area’s leading domestic electrical retailer and have one of the largest showrooms in South East England with over 1500 products on display across 2 floors. We have a dedicated Range Cooker section with over 40 products on display from companies such as Bertazzoni, Ilve, Smeg & Stoves. We also specialise in built-in appliances with over 300 products on display from many major brands in categories such as Refrigeration, Dishwashing, Laundry, Oven, Hobs & Hoods. We even have our own dedicated Hi-Fi department showcasing brands such as Ruark, Dali, Acoustic Energy, Pro-Ject, Clearaudio, Audiolab, Quad and many more. With our own warehouse we carry many products in stock but are also able to order from a much larger range than carried in store. We offer free local delivery within a radius of approximately 20 miles radius including towns and villages such as Battle, Bexhill, Cranbrook, Eastbourne, Heathfield, Robertsbridge, Rye, Tenterden, New Romney & Winchelsea. We also offer an installation and removal service for all major appliances with our trained delivery drivers and gas safe registered installer. As an independent retailer and a member of Euronics, we take pride in our customer service and are always here for our customers for help and advice both in and out of warranty. Our friendly and knowledgeable sales team have over 150 years combined experience in the industry and are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Sold an ex display model without knowing.

I bought a top of the range washer dryer and upon delivery discovered I had been brought the display model. The delivery guy said “oh, you didn’t know” erm.. no, nobody told me. Since they had brought it to my top floor flat I decided to accept the delivery. However, rising anger at this led me to phone the shop where I was fobbed off with the line: “That was the last one”, “it’s our policy” and “All shops do it..”. I asked for a reduction as it was ex display but was again fobbed off. I have been a regular customer and thought buying local was the best thing to do but never again shall I shop there.

We are sorry that you feel this way. White goods such as washer dryers, washing machine and dishwashers are not used in the shop. If it were a television, which is on and being demonstrated that is a different matter. We only give allowances if the product is marked or damaged in anyway. The salesperson may not have known he was selling the last one, but we didn't intentionally not tell you. We can assure you that this does not affect the warranty in any way. We generally have a high turnaround of stock, so the washer dryer would not have been on the shop floor for very long. If at any point in the delivery you had decided that you didn't want this machine we would have returned it to the store and refunded you. We can still bring it back to the store and refund you if you want. If you would like to ring us to discuss this further then please call us on 01424 437165

Excellent service from Adams and…

Excellent service from Adams and Jarrett, we have used them since 2000, and they always give good advice and have the best information, the Blomberg washer/dryer we just had delivered had a little problem which was identified immediately and resolved the next day, well done and thank you to Lorraine !

Very helpful regarding the cables to my…

Very helpful regarding the cables to my DVD player which got lost during my recent house move. They provided me with the necessary cables I needed and Billy their TV technician connected everything up for me. Such wonderful service, thank you so much. Regards Linda Berry, Little Common.

Washing machine replacement

Another smooth process from reserving on line to having goods delivered in a quick time frame!
Prices always competitive and prefer to buy local.
Have used for over 25 years and would not go anywhere else.

We had a very pleasant experience with…

We had a very pleasant experience with Adams and Jarrett. What a lovely team they all were. We highly recommend them. Especially Callum. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Very helpful and a good sense of humour. We will go back to them again and again
