Price quote.
I attempted to get a price quote for a charter bus for my family reunion and after 5 days I have received nothing from Academy. I tried entering with their online application which I thought was designed to provide an automated quote, but all I get is spinning cursor. I sent 3 different e-mails and also entered my contact information online and nothing. I spoke with someone else who had a similar experience. I contacted other charter bus companies and was provided a quote in hours. Still waiting Academy although now I don't trust you.

Hired company for private charter to AC. Bus was early and the driver was nice but the bus wasn't up to par. It was cleaned but older. The TV didn't work and neither did the radio system. Bus looked to be used regularly as a commuter bus. Not the type of bus you send for people who contract for private events.

Today 9/13/24 at 5:50pm. Bus 6581 on 210 took a exit to bypass traffic. Kept straight in a turn only lane. Then cut across 3 lanes of traffic. Very unprofessional driver. Needs to be retrained asap before he kills someone.

I approached the 1730 bus (6454) for check-in at 1700 on 6/12/2024. Normally drivers have a passenger roster, which was in his hand, for name verification, If your name doesn't appear on the roster driver will ask for a ticket. The driver didn't even look at his ipad, when he asked to see my ticket/ID a little surprised I replied "isn't my name on your verification roster" his response (arrogantly) "I am a supervisor and all drivers should be asking for ticket and ID" just show me your ticket/ID. Since this is within his right to ask, I abided without hesitation displaying my ticket and retired military ID.
On boarding the bus the first 2 rows on both sides of the bus were reserved with the driver's personal gear and the use of seat belts. I asked the driver if the seats were reserved for someone, he said "NO, there isn't a shield blocking me from the passengers and I don't want to catch anything" I replied, "okay the 1st row on both sides sufficient? I'm a disabled vet and normally sit in front, he said not today go sit in the back of the bus. So I took a seat in the 4th row.
I, along with other passengers, found this driver to be tactless and unprofessional, especially as an Academy (gobus) supervisor; his uncaring attitude was also noticed by other passengers and his borderline reckless driving. I have been a frequent rider for a couple of years now and he has been the 1st driver who has displayed un-empathetic behavior towards passengers' safety and concerns.

Unprofessional, aggressive and unsafe drivers. Dangerous driver almost ramped me against the wall today. I was scared for my life. Her family also are on the streets. Well

You have bus drivers on their phone, blasting their personal music and causing delays. Some of us are up at 4am and want a quiet ride home… Train your drivers better please! They have (56) people’s lives in their hands literally!!!

The bus is awesome. The driver is good and friendly we intend to use Acadmy for now on

The Driver was cooperative and truly a gentleman

On Sunday November 7th, 2021 a caravan of Academy buses led by NJ State Troopers with sirens going were traveling south on the NJ Turnpike. They were on the shoulder mostly. Presumably these buses were heading to the airport with the NFL Raiders on board after the game. I had to get off the same exit and 3 different Academy drivers tried to run me off the road rather than let me exit safely. These drivers were reckless and almost caused a serious accident all because they didn't want to allow me to exit in front of them. They honked at me and sped up dangerously as I tried to exit. These drivers are the worst. I used to commute to NYC by bus and would NEVER take an Academy bus. They are terrible.

Academy Bus which is subsidized by taxpayer money from New Jersey Transit has decided that they will give their drivers permission to pull the bus over and call the police on any passenger who refuses an unconstitutional order to wear a mask even if they are unable to do so.

Having spoken to their Representative Jody on Thursday regarding drivers who are becoming aggressive and attempting to enforce a mandate that only actual law enforcement can do and even a driver who recently assaulted an elderly passenger by forcefully shoving him between seats when he objected to be cursed & yelled at Jody called me back today 08/27/21 to smugly inform me that her supervisor that it is a law and that we do not have to ride with them.

Imagine that! The tax paying commuter who subsidizes their failing company can go drop dead or be subjugated and or arrested for failure to submit. What a disgusting and pathetic response. I demand that they be denied taxpayer funding immediately.

The driver with the bus 6722 with his last name all was really good, my friend was a little late because of the uber and he was happy to wait for him. He is also very friendly and funny, he talked with us and shared his experience about housing and stuff

We were unable to take our trip this past week. Jennifer was always available and helpful in the planning process. We will call you again next year!

Academy is reliable, honest and a great bus company.

The Academy bus arrived on time to my school. The driver was extremely professional and helpful with my needs as the band director and all of my students needs. She, the bus driver provided safe transportation to the event and the return back to school. She provided easy access to the bus at all times once we arrived to the event. The bus was clean and well kept. The price for the service rendered was acceptable and within reason. I have no issues with Academy. I have used their transportation in the past and if the need arises I will used them again in the future.

Our drivers were wonderful, on time, friendly, and patient! Clean buses. Booking agent was very helpful and provided all information requested. We’ll use them again!

The bus drivers were attentive and professional. They were also excellent at communication. All around great experience and will use Academy again if we are in the area.

Our experience with Academy and Earl our driver was FANTASTIC! Thanks so much to the whole team that helped us get this trip booked and rolling...... Especially to Earl, he was there for us when we needed to move and got us through the trip safely and on time throughout.
