Do not use Colchester Branch of Abbotts under any circumstances.
I have been waiting for the return of a tenancy deposit for over 35 days now.
Maximum time should be up to ten days.
The landlady has continually requested for the funds to be released as well as myself.
The incompetence of this branch is unbelievable.
Failing to respond or return correspondence and calls throughout.
I am now seeking legal advice and starting official complaints procedures.

we asked for a valuation, and Samantha came out to see us. she gave us some very good advice and valuation better than we had expected, along with
her help we were able to compleat our tasks that we are working on

Abbotts Countrywide Rochford, South End - Been dealing with Ria Calvin, absolute gem for this office run by Annette Frensham. Kind courteous and throughout the process has kept us up to date on a regular basis. cannot recommend Ria enough she is a keeper for this office.
would definitely use Abbotts again, but we are never moving again.. but we will recommend to others.

Full praise for all the staff at Abbotts Countrywide Downham Market for selling our traditional cottage. I particularly liked the fact that they told us when a viewing was due to take place at our empty cottage. All the staff knew who we were! They responded to all our queries quickly and phoned regularly with updates even if there was no change, which made the sale pretty stress free!!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and can thoroughly recommend them.

Never try to book a viewing with Abbott Mildenhall, horrible service. Wait for weeks and every time coming back with the excuse, we are fully booked.

Lynsey Godfrey and Suzie Twiddy were with us throughout the whole entire process, and made it ever so easy and anytime we needed to call they were there to help and gave us excellent advice.
The process was under a month, and very quick in getting a yes from the landlord. Amongst other estate agents, this is defintely my most recommended - and they are based in King’s Lynn. The Hunstanton branch is closest so anytime we needed to send documents they were sent over to King’s Lynn branch almost instantly and the man in the branch was also amazing.
The whole process was very smooth and they were extremely accommodating.
I could not recommend Abbotts more… definitely will rent again and if we ever buy will be done through them again! Amazing range of properties and very responsive.

We have just completed our first house purchase with Abbotts in Norwich and the service we received from Kerry and the team was outstanding. They couldn't do enough to help and advise us, we were kept regularly updated and they were always on hand to speak to when needed. They certainly went above and beyond.

I went for a flat viewing. It was conducted by a lovely, knowledgable woman. Afterwards, I had some questions I'd like answered and left an email. I got a call the next day promising I'd get my answers. 3 weeks later, nothing. I've left an email and 2 voice messages. I've also discovered the flat is now up for rent, which begs the question has it actually been sold, and the new owners are renting. In that case, why is the flat still up for sale, and why did no one have the decency to let me know.

They're lovely at the beginning of the process, but once you actually want to get involved in the process, absolutely nothing from them.

EDIT: After contacting customer support, I finally got an answer, that was apologetic.

I would give 0 if I could. Absolutely disgusted with the service and no one seems to care.
I selected the full management fee as I am heavily pregnant and did not want to have to deal with the management of letting my property. So far all I have done is have to make phone calls, chase incompetent people up or arrange things myself. Have yet to see any invoices despite requesting them, have been lied to about dates work has been completed, work carried out without any authorisation for the cost from myself… the list goes on. 34 weeks pregnant and horrifically stressed.

Rented out my property through Abbotts Cambridge on Full Management and Zita was very attentive until I signed the Letting Agreement. Now zero response and huge bills deducted from the rent without ever having been sent a quote. So far, after 2 months, i've seen less than 50% of the money collected in my account, and the terms of the agreement mean I can't terminate them without also terminating my tenant.

Absolutely appalling service from abbots Wymondham, made an offer on a property only to be strung along for 3.5 weeks, until they got a better offer!! I will never buy or sell a property through Abbots!! Avoid

Delays in getting repairs done in the property . For example 6 weeks without a washing machine . Calls never returned . Very poor customer service especially when ending my tenancy . Friendly until you sign and move in , then they aren't interested in you anymore . Will never use them again

Dealing with the Wymondham branch who are simply diabolical. Story changes depending on which member of staff you speak to. Communication is appalling and the level of customer service is a disgrace, particularly from the branch manager.

Incompetent or dishonest? Decide for yourself.
Abbots Rayleigh Have Kept my £1200 deposit for 6 years after vacating with a clear checkout.
Dodgy landlord only now moans about leaky tap which is a landlord responsibility. Abbots siding with landlord of course. Looking forward to this court case. … – show

I would like to say thank you to Mr Sharma & Abbott’s for helping me find tenants for my old family home. He was very responsive and helpful during the process and would recommend Abbott’s to any other landlord looking for a smooth transition from start to finish. Mr Sharma is a very good man.

I've let out my property through Abbotts in Cambridge since 2018, and have always found them extremely helpful and responsive. Kudos especially to Zita and Rosie, who helped me during a particularly tortuous time when due to an "admin error" I was being erroneously chased for an outstanding utility bill payment by debt collection agencies - despite having proof that the tenant had paid! It took us six months but we got there eventually. They definitely earned their management fee for that alone :-)

I would like to thank Jack and Pat from the Ely branch for all their help in securing my property. They made the process easy and quick, responding to queries the same day. I would not hesitate to use them again.
