Impossible to speak to a human
Impossible to speak to a human. I registered an item as having been left behind on my flight. I tried contacting this company via email, chat and phone. None were answered.
A week and a half later my item is now registered on the public site. It seems that no one has checked their system as it should have flagged that it belonged to me.
I've since tried to claim the item via their system but have still not heard anything back. Again, I've tried to contact them via phone, email and live chat - with no response.
Their online system is archaic and customer service is non-existent - it's incredible that a company like this can survive.
Very clear and quick communication
With the frustration of a case going missing the lack of information would make everything seem worse. This was not the case even though the office I can only assume deal with lots of baggage issues, I had responses by Gemma within an hour every time.. it really really helped and the problem was sorted within a day of my return.
Acted efficently and quickly
We had our case misplaced by our airline and as soon as it was passed over to Mike, five days after departure, he contacted us straight away and matched up the case with the description we provided. The time before it was handed over to Mike and the team it was being overseen by our airline who weren’t of much help. He acted on his part extremely quickly and efficiently and was very helpful over the phone and WhatsApp. Thank you for what was a very stressful and challenging time.

Contacting these people is nightmare. They forward you to automated call messages system. Email come back with useless links. Waste of time.

Our bag never arrived at our holiday airport. After reporting it missing on arrival and starting a tracking report. Mike called me 4 days later to say they have my case. We decided to have it sent to my home address. But despite Mike stating this on the case to the airline (Wizzair). They desided to send too my holiday destination. Again spoke to Mike, and he was so helpful, and advised me what to do next.
It finally arrived 13 days later due to the airlines mess ups.
Once again thank you to Mike at 1stflight and lost and found at Faro airport.

Having been very stupid and left a number of items in a laptop bag on my flight back from Turkey, I was delighted that, once I’d worked out the process for letting the airline know, everything was handed in and should be expecting a delivery tomorrow, a week after landing. Baggage never arrive from Gatwick to Malaga
Our baggage never arrived on our flight to Malaga 24th April. We had to purchase new clothes and toiletries during our full stay.
A very friendly Mike called us back home in London 1st May to say they had located our baggage which was a wonderful feeling after such disappointment. Mike was excellent and he arranged for DHL to deliver our baggage to our home 3rd May 2025. We are forever grateful.

I can not fault the staff at first flight. We had no help from either airport whilst trying to locate our bag , we even flew out again to retrace where it went .Got a call a few days later from a lovely Girl at First flight who had the bag and laptop. They keep you updated and are so helpful.PS ......Go train the airport staff :)
The bag never made it to Barcelona
The bag never made it to Barcelona, one week vacation and the kids had no clothes, and, even worse, no Easter treats. We still had a great vacation, despite the fact that the luggage did not show up. Two weeks later, I received a phone call from a friendly man who had received the bag in Gatwick - not our departure airport, not even our country. Anyways, he found it, discovered my phone number inside and called. He was very friendly and helpful: the bag was sent to my place immediately!

My luggage was collected by another passenger in error
My luggage was collected by mistake by another passenger at London Gatwick. Realising the error, my luggage was returned by the other passenger, and staff at Easy Jet Primary Tracing could not have been helpful in arranging for my luggage to be returned to my home within 4 days.
My bag somehow didn’t make the plane
My bag somehow didn’t make the plane. Late evening in Gatwick I was directed to fill an online form at an easyjet machine to report the delayed luggage. Initially this felt totally hopeless without any human contact to speak to but by morning the 1st flight team were straight onto their replies and not only were they reassuring but couldn’t have been more efficient. Am very happy with the service and not just because I got my bag back.

I was able to retrieve my bag. This was fantastic and Gemma was especially helpful. The downside was that communication was slow and it was immensely difficult to talk to a real person, as opposed to an automated service. It took five days for me to sort things out, even though I had reported the problem immediately.
