You are better off getting insurance for your car rental company.
They will do anything to avoid paying out your claim. My car was vandalised whilst on holiday and they were unhappy with the invoice and a signed police report, asking for an itemised receipt from the garage, which the rental company has zero incentive to provide.
They will intentionally misunderstand the documentation due to it being in a foreign language, despite claiming to cover globally.
If youre lucky enough to get through to a human after 2 hours of calling, they will lie and tell you your claim is fine, only to then email you why they will not be covering your claim.
The online chat support is a joke, takes forever to connect and the agents are clueless.
I have given up on ever getting my full excess back.
