Usually brilliant…..until you have a problem and then the true colours are revealed

I’ve used WFD for many years however and have previously had good experience however that was all based on happy path journeys.

I contacted them this week to firstly ask for a price match based on the fact you clearly advertise “NEVER beaten on price” to then be told you don’t match prices when another company has the product on offer. So your misleading promise of NEVER beaten on price is actually a lie. I will say the lady I spoke to was polite and professional however when I explained I’m going to buy the product at the cheapest place I can get it she replied to say yes I understand we hear that a lot. So you have lost out on a sale there, well done, great policy. And please don’t bother replying to say it’s hidden away in your terms and conditions, I’m not interested, you are making misleading claims on your website, end of!

Secondly I emailed to raise a concern about the performance of an Osmo decking oil product which has started to come off a newly laid deck surface after only 9 months and one winter and very little foot traffic. I explained how I prepared the decking, made sure it was spotlessly clean and left it 6 weeks to weather as per the guidance on the website. I advised I applied three thin coats allowing at least 10-12 hours to dry as per the instructions. I tried to do this via your contact us form which doesn’t work so had to google an email address.

I received what I can only describe as the poorest attempt at a fob off from from a customer service representative whom apparently I’m not allowed to name and shame in person who urgently needs some training in customer service where she baselessly accused me of failing to prepare my decking surface correctly for which she has absolutely no evidence to make such a claim. She then went on to allege that it was my fault for applying three coats of the product as the decking will be saturated with the product and this will cause it to peel and crack - I didn’t say it had peeled or cracked I said the surface coating had broken down. In her poor email she said and I quote “timber can only absorb two coats of any product” - what utter nonsense.

I quote the instructions from your web site on application guidance “ The type and age of timber can have a dramatic impact on how much oil the wood needs. As an example, softwood decking that is old may require more oil than a new hardwood decking that still retains much of its natural oil.

To assess how much oil your decking needs, apply one thin coat, allow to dry, then apply a droplet of oil in a corner. If the droplet of oil soaks into the wood, then a further coat can be applied. Repeat this process until the droplet of oil sits as a bead on the surface of the wood and no longer soaks into the timber. This is an indication that the timber has absorbed as much oil as possible and doesn't require any more. ”

No where does it say “if you apply more than two coats the product will break down” in fact it clearly states you can apply coats as needed until you get the water beading effect.

I’m currently seeking consumer advice as how to proceed next as I will not be leaving the matter until it has been resolved to my complete satisfaction.

Your approach to customer service seems to have dropped off a cliff based on these two most recent experiences and if when I send my next reply back to your customer service department it is not handled more professionally and without blatantly trying to fob me off I will take this matter further under my consumer rights. You’ve managed to turn a once loyal customer into a detractor with two simple contacts to your customer service department.

The beaten on price thing I’m not worried about, I’ll vote with my feet on that, however, your failure to respect my consumer rights is NOT acceptable.

Superb used bmw motorbike experience

Made an enquiry on an approved used 1 year old S1000XR TE with M pack. Grant Tipping managed the enquiry and subsequently sold me the bike and had it delivered from Blackpool to Derby. The whole experience was faultless and the courier was a friendly, professional and knowledgeable chap. The bike arrived in first class condition and I am confident that were I to encounter any issues Grant would be at the end of the phone to help me out. Based on my experience I would happily buy another bike from this dealer. This is an unsolicited review from a genuine customer.

Dream ear plugs are fantastic!

I bought a pair of the newly updated dream ones and also a pair of experience ones for motorbike riding. I havent tried the experience ones yet but the new dream version are a fantastic improvement on the older ones which were already good. These things are way more comfortable and cut out more sound too. Highly, highly rated based on my personal experience.

Driver was great, time of delivery via Yodel was not acceptable

Nothing wrong with the driver he was great. But delivering to me at 8:40pm is just not acceptable. Way too late to deliver, and highly inconvenient.

Delivered to wrong address

Delivered to wrong address - had to go walking down street to find the item. No status updates on delivery, text message mentioned nothing about tracking - not a great experience. Consignment number provided.

Great experience - patchy availability - good quality - quick delivery

Just bought a V15 absolute not from Dyson but from Argos - it was cheaper and had a free dyson stand worth £100. However I wanted a spare battery, spare filter and also a couple of additional tools. Easy to order. Quick delivery. Well packaged. Good quality kit. Losing one star however due to availability - lots of accessories on Dyson store out of stock so had to wait a week or so before items became available. Yes you can get pattern parts from other suppliers but I'd rather have the real deal from Dyson knowing it has a 1 year guarantee with it plus I dont see the point using non genuine accessories if you've just forked out £600 for a new Dyson!

Utter garbage

Utter garbage. Used to be excellent but gone down hill in last two years. Subscribed to their premium treatment package. One lawn now looking worse than ever but the front lawn isn’t too bad. Complained, asked for help/advice - all they want to do is sell you more treatments or solutions which don’t work. £45 on grass seed which hardly grew despite being watered every day for two weeks. Often have weeds in the lawn which I take care of and mow at the right height setting weekly. If I could upload images to show proof I happily would. Some franchises might be better than others but the head office is terrible. Lots of social media posts of lush green “customers” lawns. Certainly not the case for me. All marketing with no real customer service or follow up. That said I must say the Leicester branch are very polite and friendly but ultimately fail to deliver.

Superb mattress with excellent after care service

Had our Emma original mattress now for around 12 months. Its been great - it was delivered with no hassle, well packaged and was on our bed in no time - the old mattress was collected saving us the hassle of disposing of it. Took a couple of nights to get used to but so much more comfortable than our old £1000+ mattress we purchased the year before and with the added bonus of a 200 night promise AND a ten year guarantee. Interestingly I am writing this review 12 months down the line because our mattress started to be a little less supportive where my partner and I slept. A quick email through to the support centre at Emma where they asked some questions and requested some photos of the issue. They confirmed it was a suspected issue with the mattress which they would take back to investigate and supply us with a new one when they collect the old one as per the ten year guarantee. SUPER service. I dealt with a lady called Ella who was fantastically helpful, very responsive and made the whole process super simple. Well done Ella and well done Emma for creating a great product and backing it up with such excellent support. Thank you!

Usual good service going down hill rapidly

Agreed to a price match. Promised next day delivery. That evening they email me to say they can’t price match. I dispute this. Next day I chase as no items arrived and get apologies but apologies are meaningless - I wanted my items - no offer to refund delivery and no update on price match - asked if they could get the items to me before 10am the next day - they just avoided making a commitment. I carried on emailing and a few days later got a refund of the price match money - I offered to explain the details of where things had gone wrong so wiggle could learn from their errors - ignored me - that’s me now trying everywhere else and only using wiggle as a last resort. And they still have no phone numbers, only chat which is down more than it’s up - you guys need to get a grip of your service you’re going down hill rapidly!

Purchased a Bowflex BTX326 treadmill

Purchased a Bowflex BTX326 treadmill. Rang up for advice and spoke to Justin who was able to give me a good steer as to which treadmill would meet my needs. They matched the online discount over the telephone and arranged for a three person delivery within 4 days of ordering. The machine was delivered by the courier company who were great - they gave me a time slot and the item was delivered to a ground floor location as agreed. I then setup the treadmill which took about an hour - everything working perfectly. If I were to be critical of the machine itself, when running, the top part which had the display vibrates a lot and if you have anything on the sections where you can put your phone, remote control, iPad etc it vibrates like mad and is very annoying. Other than that the treadmill itself is excellent - I highly recommend it. No fancy touchscreens or any of that stuff, just a very solid and capable treadmill and it even connects to Zwift running over Bluetooth as well so I can get rid of my foot pod! So far so good, would order from these guys again and Justin was excellent, very helpful, polite and did everything he said he would do!

Ignorant to emails asking for help

Ignorant to emails asking for help - ordered a £150 product which arrived with missing assembly screws - emailed twice to politely ask for help - ignored after well over a week - not acceptable - wont be buying anything from this company again - there are plenty of alternatives out there!
