Refusal to honor warranty on modem that died after 1 month
In late June 2019 purchased & installed a brand new Zoom cable modem. One month later, the Zoom cable modem stopped working. Since it came with a 2 year manufacturer warranty, I called the company & sat on hold for over 45 minutes only to be told by the representative that they would not honor the warranty on their defective modem, despite having proof of purchase, the box & all packaging.
So now I’m out $65 for the defective Zoom cable modem AND had to shell out an additional $100 for a new cable modem from a more reputable manufacturer, which has worked flawlessly for 5 months & counting.
Bottom line - stay away from anything manufactured or sold by Zoom Telephonics. They have inferior products & refuse to honor their warranty - very disreputable business.
