This company is a joke don't waste valuable time looking for employment with these people they ask where you live and if you want to relocate I live in moncton nb and told them no relocation. First job offer was in Halifax ns 3 1/2 hrs commute. Next job offer was for in Maine USA obviously they just want you as a statistic so they can advertise how many people they have using their site. Beware people it's already difficult enough finding employment don't let these fools give you the run around

If I could give you negative 5 stars I would...What a scam of a company, YOU reading this need to run as far away as you can from this joke of a service.
Typical grab your credit card for our free trial bulls**t and charge you literally thousands of dollars for accounts you already deactivated and talked to customer service about repeatedly.
Your customer service reps dont know what they are doing, are less then informative, and are absolutely rude. Not to mention your charges are ridiculously high for such little in return.
Wouldn't even dare to call you a company.
BY the way everyone, they dont issue refunds.
Only credits for a service you probably will never want.
Shame on you ZR, I sure hope you read this.

I opened a free trial with them, and they never noticed me that it's ending and finally they charged me 702$ for 15 candidates!
The customer service was terrible and when I told them about it they said it was a valid charge and you can do nothing.

Absolute crap! Expensive and worthless!
The only candidates you’ll get are the ones not qualified for your job or someone across the world.👎🏻 Don’t waste your money.

When we started with Ziprecruiter, things were good. We used to get a lot of candidates, some fit the profile, some did not. However, unlike what they promise in their nonstop advertisements, you CANNOT find the needle in a haystack, you can just find a lot of hay and some needles hehe. Their software does not find those super qualified people, even when you spend tens of minutes running the tool to choose "right candidates" for the position you advertise.
Recently however, Ziprecruiter has became awful. Even with higher packages, continuous boosting and all the bells and whistles we have to pay for, we barely receive any candidates. We have not only been following market norms but paying even more than the market at times. You could blame the market, but other websites seem to be bringing us many good leads even in a difficult market.
Also, going all the way back to when we started with Zip, their account managers are SOOO sales-oriented and aggressive. They keep on pushing you for hire packages, and recently they wanted us to pay thousands of dollars to get similar results to what we used to get for 300$ or so per month!
What a shame.
Also, for 2 months their feature to redirect applicants to our ATS did not work, so we kept on losing candidates (the applications simply vanished), for a feature we paid for. They did refund us what we paid for the feature but not for our lost time.
We are surely not using Ziprecruiter any longer, and would not advise anyone to use it.

Nicole Cook was of great assistance setting up our job posting. She pretty much set up the whole thing and discussed it with me along the way to make sure it fit our needs. We had so many relevant resumes we found a great new hire in a week. We are returning to her again for a position we are looking to fill now and will continue to return to her for positions in the future. Great free trial experience!

You just receive hundreds of notifications that your application was viewed etc. but getting phone calls or at least a human being respond, not at all. Stick with other more established platforms and spend your time and energy there.

Most applicants were from out of town and country (mostly from the middle East) even after settings requirements they be within driving distance to the job and not accepting applications from outside 100km. Spoke to them about fixing this numerous times with no change.

Closed both job postings, but were continued to get billed until we contacted them to cancel all of our services, with no indication to this.

Tldr: little applications, mostly not from North America, overpriced and were still charged after we closed our job postings.

The free trial- don't bother

The free trial, in my view, is just to tease you into a monthly subscription. After getting a half a dozen junk applicants that seemed like they where all from India and not even in the country, I decided to look at the site for my ad. No ad. I searched by city; then exact job description + city; then exact job description + city + Province . No ad. I tried to log in to my account and it rejected my password (even though it was correct). Said it had sent me a link to confirm my identity. No email arrived. I called their customer service line and invested 45 minutes to repeatedly reset my password and after being transfered to multiple staff members was told that "they needed more information", which I provided and they finally said it had something to to with the trial and things weren't "set up completely". So finally I can log in and a rep asks me why I'm cancelling the free trial. I explain that the responses are junk and my ad didn't display. She tries and says you have to add the country to the search terms, so I do and it works. The thing is, I wouldn't expect an applicant to know that, and nothing on the site states that. So in practical terms, people won't see my ad because even with job description/city it won't display. The rep says that's because I didn't select their other features like "premium". I said no, because premium was an extra cost, and I was offered a free ad. She says that with the premium there are other search criteria that get utilized. We then have a disussion about what "free" means and we agree to disagree.
I took them up on their offer of a 4 day free ad to test their site. In my opinion it's just a gimmick and the only real way to get exposure for an ad is to pay for a subscription plus all the extras(which is fine, but don't jerk people around with a free listing that is just a waste of time). In my opinion it's just a ploy to ensure that you aren't successful in the 1st four days and you get enrolled in the subscription.

They make you fill up everything just to realize they want your credit card up front!
