With each trade, they say that they have not received at least one of the books. I now photograph the box during packing as evidence that all books were packed and should have been received at Ziffit.... Se mere

Do not use. Absolute charlatans.
Do not use! I have used Ziffit in the past and they used to be a reasonable way to make a few pounds on unwanted books. After not using them for several years I have recently sent books which they estimated as being worth just under £7. However, on receipt they rejected over 3/4 of the books and I am being paid under £2. No option to having the books returned, and they will undoubtedly resell them. An absolute shower. Their app will be uninstalled and they will get no further business from me.
Avoid Ziffit: Poor Rates, Horrendous Pick-Up Experience
I wish I could give Ziffit zero stars. My experience with their book-selling service has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
Uncompetitive Rates: Ziffit’s rates for books are far from competitive. The offers they provided were significantly lower than those from other services. It felt like they undervalue books, which is especially disheartening for anyone trying to sell them for a fair price.
Lack of Transparency: The service could be more transparent about which books it accepts. It’s frustrating notf its criteria, which leads to wasted time and effort when tryin to have a clearg to sell books understanding othat it might not even consider.
Horrendous Pick-Up Service: The biggest issue has been their pick-up service. Despite booking DPD to collect my books three times, the courier never showed up on any of those occasions. This recurring problem indicates a severe lack of reliability and coordination on their part. I was left waiting each time and had to reschedule, only to face the same issue repeatedly.
To make matters worse, I discovered on Trustpilot that Ziffit operates under both ziffit.com and ziffit.co.uk. They’ve created two separate Trustpilot accounts to offset their poor service ratings. This tactic feels deceptive and further undermines their credibility.
Overall, Ziffit has proven to be a huge disappointment. Their low rates, lack of transparency, and unreliable pick-up service make them a service to avoid. If you’re considering using them, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Very disappointing? Or just a con?
Very disappointing. First they are so fussy about which books they want that I spent ages scanning bar codes and getting the message ' Sorry...' Fair enough I suppose but their advertising doesn't suggest that they will turn down about 8 books in 10. Then I couldn't see anywhere to add the code that promised me an extra 15%. I thought it would be at the end of the process but it wasn't and when I contacted them they told me I should have put it in at the beginning - but they didn't add it. Then, worst of all, when they finally paid me it was less than half of what they had promised. They said that half my books hadn't arrived! I had sent two boxes, both labelled clearly. I handed two boxes to the delivery man and he scanned both bar codes. What happened to my second box I do not know. I just know I have not been paid for the books I sent. I have sent them a message and wait to see what they will do to put this right. From reading other revues (which I should have done before using this company) I do not have any faith that it will be put right.
Same review left for Ziffit by World of books, because they are the same company!
AVOID THEY WILL LIE ABOUT YOUR BOOKS!
So I started a trade, a total of 14 items, one of which was a 10 book box set and half of the value of the order... guess which one they are claiming is "damaged" and can't be paid for?!
I had to chase to even find out if they had my books as their courier service wouldn't tell me, then they said they had them but the expensive box set was so damaged that they couldn't pay for it.
I asked for proof (because I know that the box set was one of the best items I sent) and they sent me a response stating that they don't have to tell me anything about books they reject as per their contract with me and that they instantly destroy anything unsellable.
I pointed out that it also says unless they breach their contract which I believe they have because I know for a fact my books met their criteria and I have photographs to show this from before I sent them, I also pointed out that if they needed to show they are not breaching their contracts they need to have evidence to prove this.
I will also point out that the item they are claiming is "destroyed" because it was so damaged (it wasn't) is something they sell for £45!
Also if they are destroying books that they are deeming as "damaged" immediately then I would rather give them to charity because those books could have gone to a child in need as there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, and I have the photographic proof.
I know they will have not have been damaged in the post because of how I packed them, so all I can gather from this is that they lie to avoid paying out.
It's a shame as I used to use World of books a lot but from this behaviour I will never use them or recommend them again, it's also further disappointing after seeing the state of some of the books I have received that have been labelled as "good condition", which is obviously one they didn't pay for and "destroyed" upon receiving LOL.
Absolutely appalling.
Absolutely appalling.
Ziffit claim that books were not received.
Everything was packed together yet I only received just over half the payment that was agreed.
Non payment for accepted trade
I still await payment from an accepted trade supposedly made late July. I have subsequently requested a cheque but still await a response despite several reminders via Resolver. Customer service does not have a telephone number and only seems to reply by email with no further follow up.
DO NOT trade with this company
DO NOT trade with this company. I traded academic books that were barely used and in excellent condition and was told that the cover was damaged on the most valuable book and they refused to pay. I took photos of the books prior to sending them to Ziffit as I was skeptical about using Ziffit. It turns out I had good reason to be. I have forwarded these photos and have yet to receive a reply, although they already dismissed my case saying they would no longer communicate with me. I have bought books from the parent company World of Books and the books were almost falling apart, so how they could say my book did not reach their standards beggars belief.
quotes on trade halved in payment
No disappearing books from me as far as I know but priced quoted on trading halved consistently in spite of books being in perfect condition. No explanation or detail as to why and the answer from customer services "heroes" doesn't give any detail on the trade in question -most likely following a script-and then they ask for a second chance!!! I will be uninstalling the app and using other second hand platforms as this is a waste of time... apart from creating a job in customer services... too many disappointments.
Why did I not check these reviews :( con artists will steal your books and not pay
Why did I not check these reviews :(
I will never use this company again and will be advising others to do the same. I feel cheated and scammed. High prices are cleverly offered to trick you into sending items - it’s clear ziffit have no intention of paying these prices, once the books are received, suddenly they are ‘damaged’ - and conveniently destroyed.. which means 100% profit. Customer care is non existent - employee just ignored my email when I asked for a list of my items and didn’t even bother to respond to me when it’s clear I was unhappy. Service couldn’t be any worse.
Complete con artists who steal books and lie about their quality to make more profit and cheat people out of what they are owed.
I sold some books to Music Magpie and World of books that were of exactly the same quality and was paid the full amount quickly and promptly. Please AVOID Ziffit and try these reputable companies instead.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give Ziffit UK zero stars I would! They are basically thieves. My Mother died in June and left an extensive DVD collection sourced over many years and lovingly cared for. They offered in some instances up to £3.59 per DVD. I sent 120 DVD's totalling £190.35 but they claim many were missing or damaged. This is simply A LIE and they have stolen my late Mother's beloved collection. They have only paid me £67.19!!! DAYLIGHT ROBBERY I will never use them ever again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Do not trust Ziffit
As with the others I have read, this review is to warn people that Ziffit sometimes takes perfectly good, some almost new books, and then claims that they have not received them. I will certainly never use them again in future- I would rather let the charities have my used books and music.
Disappearing books?
Interesting to read the other comments about Ziffit, plenty of unhappy customers. To be fair, I have generally had a decent service from them, an occasional rejected book but nothing much. However, in the last few months I too am experiencing the "not received" comments against several books per trade. Yet when I have queried this I am told that the packaging was not damaged on arrival. So how can the books - which I am very careful to check and count into the boxes - disappear? There is something very odd going on in the checking department, either dishonest employees or malfunctioning AI. Ziffit needs to get its act together and stop ripping off its customers
Had to block them from spamming on my…
Had to block them from spamming on my phone look like crooks.
Books have gone missing
Books have gone missing. No customer service. Chat is useless. Phone refers you to chat or email. Emails keep asking for the same information. I will never deal with them again
Wish I had read the reviews first
Wish I had read the reviews first! The process was smooth, scanning the items etc sent via inpost which was quick and easy, had an email to say some had been rejected and would not be sent back, which is unfair these can be re sold somewhere else by myself. I had replied back to the email they had sent me, the response I got back was just a generic one as it was advising about recycling books!! I never sent any books back. So they couldn't even be bothered to look at my account.
If there was a minus rating for this…
If there was a minus rating for this company I would award it. Advice Do not under any circumstances deal with this company. Spent ages completing IBAN numbers, most of them rejected may I say then. Then the drama started with courier pick up which they refused as there was no bar code or paperwork. Spent endless time emailing but to no avail A total waste of time and energy SCAM MERCHANTS
I do not trust Ziffit at all
My dad sent Ziffit a box full of mint condition DVDs and should have received £79.
Ziffit said that when they received them they were damaged and they would destroy them! lol!! despite apparently providing insured delivery which should have covered them being damaged in transit.
There is no way to challenge their decision which makes it even more infuriating.
Is this even legal?
Since speaking to a few people online that have used Ziffit this is not uncommon behaviour. I really wouldn’t trust this company based on my experience and the significant number of bad experiences by others.
A complete waste of time
I have spent 4 hours trying to raise £10 in order to qualify for the 15per cent extra offered to me via email. I have scanned at least 100 items, dvds and books, to no avail. Everything is rejected.
I will not use Ziffit again. The books which were accepted will be going to a charity shop.
Dishonest and incompetent crooks
Set up trade for £48, was paid £4.96 due to their incompetence and dishonesty. Waited in all day for courier who only collected 3 of 4 boxes, waited in again for courier who never showed so gave up on 4th box. When ziffit reviewed my items Books mysteriously "disappeared" out of boxes. DVDs that were still in cellophane were "damaged" (!!??) Paperbacks had no "jacket" so were refused (what paperbacks have jackets??) Everything was in excellent condition when it left me and were all there. What a bunch of chisellers. Avoid these crooks and give your books to charity.
A SCAM
Awful company, BEWARE! I had a £60+ trade with them, but they only paid me for a small proportion of the items worth £20. It was all the higher value items they didn’t pay me for which were tarot and oracle decks and nearly all in mint condition. They said I sent them empty boxes with no cards, but there was nothing I could hope to gain by doing that as I know items are checked, so that led me to the conclusion that they were stolen either by an employee of World Of Books or DPD, the courier. As I used their courier I asked for an investigation as per Ziffit’s own t&c’s but after the one email I received from them to say they wouldn’t pay they didn’t reply to this request or any further emails. This leads me to believe the worst about this company, that it is a scam. World of Books are potentially selling items that they haven’t fairly paid people like me for which is shocking! There is no way to get anything back from them once you have sent it so be very careful and use your own courier. I would never use them again and would use We Buy Books instead who I had a really positive experience with.
