I gave American a positive review after they provided an inspection and appraisal on a 68 AMC AMX I was looking at. In turn I purchased the car. After the car was delivered I found several more flaws in the paint, the interior, moldings, and a front grill that is damaged beyond repair. None of which were documented in the inspection report. Very disapointed.

Shawn was very nice and professional. I was pleased with how easy the process was. He was very detailed with the appraisal and I thank him for being so nice and patient. I would recommend him to anyone looking for these services. Thanks again Shawn.

When the other party's insurance company became unresponsive and essentially ghosted us, we decided to proceed through our own insurance carrier to obtain the fair market value for our vehicle. Since liability had already been determined to be 100% the other party's fault, our insurance company stepped in and will seek reimbursement from the at fault carrier.

Throughout the process, Shawn continued to advocate for us. He contacted our insurance company, negotiated the fair market value of our vehicle, and achieved an excellent outcome after countless rounds of discussions and negotiations.

I highly recommend Shawn to anyone seeking an honest vehicle evaluation or appraisal. He knows how to effectively negotiate with insurance companies and help ensure you receive a fair settlement rather than accepting a lowball offer.

I rarely leave negative reviews or reviews at all for that matter, but others need to know how this business operates. I paid Shawn $459, through his PAYPAL invoice, for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection in Northern California. He failed to find an inspector, so I requested a refund for services never rendered. Over two months, I faced constant excuses, delays, and poor communication. Shawn falsely claimed he vetted three vehicles; in reality, he only commented briefly on links I sent, and zero inspections occurred. He eventually refunded only $150, keeping $309 after stating he would refund me if he was unable to locate an inspector. After trying to resolve this privately, I filed a small claims lawsuit. Shawn failed to appear in court and judgment was ruled in my favor after informing the court of the issue. I am now working with an attorney to enforce this judgment against American Classic Appraisal LLC via an order of examination. While the remaining balance isn't life-changing, this is a matter of basic business integrity. He may have good reviews on this platform, but my experience was defined by limited service, broken promises, and legal non-compliance.

Follow up: Interesting reply considering your yelp reply on this same issue. Here is what you said, "We went through 3 vehicles for you in our search and provided guidance all the way through. We weren’t able to inspect the last one in the time you asked for and you wanted a full refund even though we had spent hours in conversation and messages in your search. I wish you luck in finding your vehicle but I’m definitely glad that you won’t be using us."
Does that ring a bell??? Which story do you want to stick with?? Also, text and receipts don't lie, I have everything saved which was presented to the court as evidence. Nice try making up a story that I was the seller and reaching out to Trustpilot for trying to get my post removed.

Update: Shawn and I have very different views of the inspection that was carried out and of our conversations about the vehicle. I was an over- exuberant buyer…and that’s on me. The only way I would use this business or any other inspection business would be to go with the inspector in person. Would never again buy a vehicle without laying my eyes on it. The vehicle I bought is costing me at least $15,000+ to get in running condition just so I can sell it at a huge loss. Live and learn.

Shawn and team did an excellent job and made me feel better about buying a vehicle that I can't see in person. They set up the inspection, and it was completed within two days. I feel they went above and beyond -- Shawn even helped me think through my offer and sent me an appraisal for my insurance company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
