I had an amazing and life-changing experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam. I did the 200H YTT last month. I recommand this school because :
- courses were of high quality and teachers really knowledgeable
- food was healthy and delicious (mostly Indian food but also western food from times to times)
- staff was super kind and try to help for any issues we had (they organized a Christmas dinner, they lent us saris for the graduation ceremony, etc ...)
- many extra activities were organized for free (excursion to meditation cave, healing bowls session, rafting, etc.. )
- the promo of 14 students each month is perfect to create strong relationships with everyone

It is hard to put into words how wonderful of a time I had during the training. The teachers, the dorms, the food, the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a great training program, this is it! They are professional, helpful. It was easy to book (I booked last minute they were quick to respond) and helped arrange transport which makes its smooth getting there. Highly Recommend 10/10

My 300hr YTT was a very special experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam. I was lucky enough to spend both my birthday and Diwali there which meant the celebrations lasted most of the month!

I really appreciated the efforts of all of the staff for making the stay so comfortable. Danesh and the team ensured the rooms were clean and the whole shala was always tidy and safe and welcoming. The food was excellent and varied. The staff were readily accessible for any questions and needs including assisting with recommendations and booking of external services as needed (massage/astrology etc).

The course itself was comprehensive with all of the teachers hand picked and specialised in their subject. We practiced asana twice a day morning Hatha then afternoon Astanga, then the rest of the day was filled with other classes including pranayama, philosophy, anatomy, yoga therapy, teaching methodology, meditation. Thank you to all of the teachers for sharing your wisdom and passion with us.

I had never been to Rishikesh before so this was a lovely way to discover the city and surrounds. It felt almost like a holiday more than a teacher training. I enjoyed the community feel and the joyful vibe. The activities that they included were excellent and well worth doing (sunrise temple, meditation cave, aarti ceremony).

I highly recommend this school. I felt supported by the teachers and my fellow students to learn and grow in a safe space. It was both an educational development and personal healing journey.

This 300h TTC at Yogkulam has been a truly transformative experience. I learned so much more than I have expected.
The course is excellent structured and well designed ,I got in-depth beyond just the normal asana practices.
Teachers are very knowledgeable and always ready to help and give whatever they can at any time. They share their way of life and mindset so generously, and always with an open heart. Each encounter has been a genuine one.
This school will welcome you with its open arms, no matter on what stage of yoga or what stage of your life you are in. The accomodation is very clean,and comfortable. And the food is delicious, nutritious, and made with lots of love.
I am very thankful to each of the teachers,and all of the people managing the organisations of the daily schedules and activities,you all made me feel home and supported.

Rishikesh Yogkulam has truly been a sanctuary for my yoga journey! The teachers are not just instructors; they are genuine masters, each pouring their vast knowledge into every session. The staff goes above and beyond, making you feel at home and supported. Accommodations are comfortable, and I lucked out with a peaceful outer room. The food was also good, it was tasty, and diverse.

Massive shoutout to Ella, Manraj, Amit, Dheru, Mann, Sadhu, Ankit, and Dr. H for a month that I'll forever treasure.

I did my 200 hs with them and was absolutely the best decision! I highly recommend this school, The teachers are well qualified and they took care of us during the whole month. You can tell the passion they have to pass all their knowledge to the students.

Had an enriching experience at Rishikesh Yogakulam during the Yoga Teachers Training Program in November 2023. The teaching staff were very experienced and well qualified. They were very attentive to the students learning needs and provided an excellent environment. The Ashtanga yoga, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama , Indian Philosophy and meditation subjects were well covered . I was lucky to have been part of this program at this Institute. I did my 200h in Rishikesh Yogkulam and it was without a doubt the best decision! The quality of the classes and teachers is great, as is the food and the school facilities.
Deciding where to take the course in Rishikesh is very difficult with the number of schools there are, but please don't hesitate more and choose Rishikesh Yogkulam!

My experience was incredible, I highly recommend it! The food at the school is fresh and delicious. The school is located in the middle of nature, full of animals all around, in a very quiet place, away from the crowds. The teachers are fantastic, I loved it, very interesting and simple, and every day there was something different at school, I always felt at home and never bored. Two of my classmates had their birthdays on different days and the teachers prepared surprise parties for both of them with very cute decorations and birthday cakes, which was very sweet of them.
On Sundays we had activities, either going to the viewpoint or to the waterfall. If you want a good school and an incredible experience, I recommend it 100%.

I just finished my 500 hour yttc at Yogkulam in beautiful Rishikesh. This experience was truly special and is hard to put into words. Amit Payal has put together a wonderful program and class schedule, that is supported by amazing teachers and staff. Every person involved is genuine, compassionate, and there to help you succeed on your yoga journey. Pankaj ji and Jitu ji are excellent Asana teachers, that will certainly help you progress in your physical yoga practice. Pankaj ji was my overall favorite teacher, as his kind energy pairs so well with how far he pushes you to succeed in your practice. I loved the yoga alignment and adjustment classes, which taught us how to get into proper alignment and correct and adjust students so they are safe and progressing in Asana. Sadhu ji and Deepa ji helped take my meditation practice to new heights, not only through experience but also deep enjoyment. I loved yoga philosophy with Mandeep Ji, as his knowledge and way of explaining yogic philosophy was clear and exciting. Ekta ji is very knowledgeable in pranayama and did an excellent job of educating us so we feel confident to practice and teach pranayama. If you're lucky enough to have the owner, Amit ji, teach anatomy and teaching methodology, you will be enthralled by his energetic and knowledgeable teaching style! The food at the school is good, and the kitchen staff works really hard to accomodate all allergies and food intolerances. If you get tired of the food or need any supplies, the school is in a perfect location to go out and get the items you require. No life experience is perfect, but the school does everything in its power to accomodate and make the students comfortable and cared for. They put up a suggestion box so that if you had any concerns you could voice them freely. The school would read the suggestions and immediately address them. The school is next to a construction site, which was bothersome at times, but it only helped me practice patients and allowed us to go further inward to find peace. All the staff who cook and clean were very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable, well taken care of and cleaned weekly. The excursions and activities the school put together were fun and included visits to a waterfall, cave, ganga arti ceremony, kirtan, white water rafting, and movies nights. There was always something enjoyable to do in the evenings or on our day off. I truly felt at home at Yogkulam and am already dreaming of a time when I can come back to visit this special place!

I'm incredibly happy to have chosen Rishikesh Yogkulam for my 300 YTT! The experience exceeded my expectations. The schedule was packed with well-conducted and interesting materials. I felt every day like I'm growing through all the nourishing information and demanding exercises. There was always the support of teachers who really cared that we learned and got the most out of the classes. This said, I really appreciate the engagement of teachers and all the members of the school team, not only during the classes but also in between or during all the exciting excursions. Even though the teachers are very advanced in their practice and knowledge, we met each other at eye level and had fun together. I found especially the Hatha classes very inspiring— with a broad variety of asanas, always demanding but suitable to the level of the whole group.

I enjoyed the traditional foods at the school very much and learned many new ones thanks to the engaged kitchen team. The excursion and other leisure activities were well chosen and fun. On many occasions, a professional photographer was accompanying us, and thanks to that, I took back home not "only" memories, knowledge, and a trained body but also beautiful photos.

I also want to mention that I didn't get a gift or reward for writing this review (which is sometimes the case at other schools I went to). It's truly my gratitude for this amazing experience, and I'll always remember the training at Rishikesh Yogkulam very fondly.

Yogkulam is a great yoga school with high quality courses. The teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. This course is a deep dive in the yogic lifestyle. Very intense physically and emotionally it is quite life changing!

I was disappointed by the quality of the food and accommodation. The food was not the best and not always respecting the sattvic diet. Accommodation was not adapted to the very humid weather during raining season and the room got very moldy.

The 200 YTT online course was fantastic! It exceeded my all expectations. The learning materials were structured very well, exceptionally thorough, and very diverse in format, books, manuals, videos, and plenty of other resources. The learning platform was very user-friendly and always accessible. Really great!
The teachers were extremely dedicated and knowledgeable and I could feel that they did that from their heart and they live that ancient wisdom which is rare to find nowadays.
It was a true self-discovery journey where I learned to become calmer and more patient with myself and others, alongside developing my physical flexibility, strength, and endurance.
Yoga is a lifestyle toward inner freedom and peace, so I highly recommend this course to everyone who wants to change and grow.

This school is amazing. I just spent one month there for the 200HR training, the experience was incredible.
Rishikesh is full of schools but I am glad I found this one.
First, the teachers are really knowledgeable, you can be sure you will learn a lot. All of them are very good teachers, and this makes, I think, the difference with other schools. It is usually a different teacher for each lecture and this gives a very good rythm for the day with many different and interesting interactions.
Second, the whole team cares a lot about the students, and not only as yoga students but also on a day to day life. They were always so helpful and kind, trying to find solutions if there were problems, or being there for sick people.
Third, they keep the groups below 15 persons, which is a perfect number to really share this experience with others, in a private environnement and have a personal and adapted training. No drop in classes are possible for outside people, which really differentiates them from other schools, making the teaching even more valuable.

The food was very good, fresh and changing everyday. You can try most of the Indian specialties by staying there, and the chef even adapted its menus to what we would prefer which was very appreciated.
I stayed in a new building, in a very green area, calm and peaceful, with a garden, mango trees, on the other side of the bridge facing Tapovan, but still with a lot of cafés and shops.
And, super nice excursions are provided on sundays !

I am writing this experience late but ,Want to share my 2 months journey with amazing People at this School. I have completed my YTTC 500 hr at Rishikesh Yogkulum.
At very first day I meet A very humble and down to earth man ,yes! he is Master "D" he always greets everyone with a Smile. Amit ji teaches Anatomy in very easiest way .Panku Ji the perfect ashtanga teacher, very Disciplaned about class timing.
Thanks!to Jitu Ji a very humble and calm teacher .
All classes are perfect ,I learned About Indian culture in the school thanks to Philosophy teachers .
I Learned Alignment and Adjustments in the class in proper way Thanks to Master " D"

Yes ! Excursion at Sunday specially river Rafting enjoyed a lot.

The teachers are absolutely fantastic! They've got an amazing team well versed in Hatha, Ashtanga, Alignment & Adjustment, Philosophy, Pranayama, and Meditation. Each class I had the teachers' passions shone through. They effortlessly catered to everyone's level, making the sessions super accessible and rewarding.

The staff at Yogkulam deserves a big shoutout too. They were always there to lend a hand or share a smile. The communication was on point, both before, during, and after the course, making sure we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

I stayed in a private room, and after some intense yoga sessions, coming back to a cozy space was just so nice. The facilities were neat and tidy, and there is room cleaning too every few days.

The teachings are very authentic as well. It's like diving headfirst into the heart of yoga's rich tradition. The wisdom and knowledge they shared with us felt like magic, taking our practice to a whole new level. You can feel the genuine love they have for yoga, and it's contagious.

Now, before you get all starry-eyed, as much as I love Yogkulam, there was this teensy-weensy thing - construction noise from nearby. But, it’s not the school's fault and beyond their control and they were very understanding and apologetic about it the whole time we were there. It is definitely still worth attending but this might be a bit bothersome if you're super sensitive to noise. Bring some earplugs if you can, I use the brand “Loop Earplugs” and it seriously helped.

To sum it all up, Yogkulam is so nice! Seriously, I can't recommend it enough for an unforgettable yoga experience in Rishikesh. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and brimming with knowledge.

Pros
1. Great teachers (Hatha, Ashtanga, Alignment & adjustment, Philosophy, Meditation). I'm personally deeply inspired by the philosophy class : ) It helps me understand the original concept of yoga (union with the universe/ oneness) and the role of yoga asanas (body movements) being just 1 limb of the 8 limbs of the "yoga" practice to bring one's soul 'back home' to liberation/ultimate peace/nirvana ^^.
2. Staff super helpful and considerate. Communications before, during and after course was excellent. We felt well taken care of.
3. The teaching is authentic, in-depth, well structured and detailed. I truly appreciate especially the Ashtanga teacher (Pankaj) and Philosophy teacher (Sadhu)'s wonderful teaching/ knowledge sharing!

Perhaps cons for some
1. One of the campuses (first one) is situated in the center of Tapovan, near many construction sites. It is therefore noisy sometimes at night (the construction goes on whole night!) This isn't the fault of the school, but it's an important piece of information students should consider.

Why this school from all other options?
Experienced teachers, easygoing discipline, friendly atmosphere with stuff, our feedback in half what we want to change, extremely caring people. You just say something and next hour you have it. And I also appreciate lessons of Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy to be a part of the program.

There were mistakes. A loudly noise from building, some organization problems, sometimes too hard routine.
But we are people, everyone has mistakes.

Personally, I loved all routine - 2,5 hour of challenging asana practise, 4 hours of exciting information, 2 hours of pranayama and meditation. But between about 5 hours to talk about everything with your classmates and teachers.

I was afraid about my stamina, my strenght, my figure (I am not a skinny girl). Also about people - won't they be too esoteric? Will we be thinking the same way? Because a month is a long time in a bad society...

Nothing from this was true. About half of group were normal people (about body) - normal shapes, medium strenght. Yes, there were also gymnastics, but rarely. And yoga asanas are nice in adjustment to your own level. So don't be worry about the physical part.

Classmates...honestly nice people. Not everyone has a completely same vibe, but I can say you will find at least 3 people like you. And you can always speak with everyone, because it is a very opened community, noone is an outsider. During the month there wasn't any fight. I found true friends there. The group was from all over the world. One Indian guy, Americans, Australians, Europians, Asians...😇 Super chance to learn English.

I was very glad that we had also ayurveda and philosophy lessons. Without these two it wouldn't make the full sense.

If you think you will have so much time for reflection and thinking, then I must dissapoint you. The routine is made for no thinking. Just turn off and notice every moment. You will see how relaxing is to flow.

And look forward to sunday trips! They are always different, but we had trips to a hinduistic temple on a hill, waterfall (with swimming) and also a cooking class of Indian dishes.

I just want to say, that I wouldn't ever change my desicion to go to Yogkulam. But it is only a mindset. You don't have to like it or you can arrive with no expectations of reviews and just enjoy it. So don't read more and just go somewhere.
