I had a problem with a 340g cinnamon delight Yankee candle, the wick has burnt out with a fair bit of wax still left in, I sent picture and a email to customer service 3 times bit i have not had a reply, There customer service is Absolutely appalling, these candles are not cheap but there customer service think we dont deserve to be treated fairly when there product is not up to standard,

For a few years I have purchased scented candles from you and they used to be good (strong scent and lasting). In November I bought four large ones again but we noticed one in particular had no scent at all. As I have a account with you I thought if I let you know you would simply send another, refund me, or give me credit for the one that was faulty, or didn't work.

After calling you I was asked to fill in a form and after completing your form you responded requesting several photographs of labels, serial numbers, the wick, along with hand written paperwork with reference numbers on.
That is a bit ridiculous.

My daughter had actually commented that they are not like they used to be so I should go elsewhere.
Based on your response and our experiences I now agree with her

I bought a wax melt plug in lamp in November and after turning it on for about the fifth time, it sparked, made a loud bang and blew the electrics in the house. I’ve emailed them twice and have yet to receive a reply…. They obviously think this is a safe product to have in your home !
I will be contacting Trading Standards

Have spent hundreds of pounds on Yankee over the years but just lately there a waste of money burning Christmas cookie all I can smell is wax what's happened to this brand! Could understand if paid peanuts I'm done with them now much stronger smelling candles from home bargains!

I know Yankee Candle will ignore this because they've ignored our emails to customer service.

We bought a Yankee Candle last week and the first time we used it, there was a loud bang and the glass shattered. This could have been a potentially serious injury and Yankee Candle ignoring it says a lot.

I had a Yankee candle that didn’t burn properly took pictures of it sent it to customer service and was accused of not lighting both wicks. I’ve been burning candles over 25 years and being told that by someone looking at a picture has upset me a great deal I’m very unhappy with how I’ve been treated and I will not be buying any more Yankee candles. Why the hell would I send pictures in? If I had done something wrong? I’m not stupid. I know how to light a candle.

Awful company. I ordered candles on December 8th and they never arrived. I have emailed 3 times with no response so I tried to call them and an automated message said my call could not be taken. I then emailed again and still no response.

Ordered on 17 November kept getting messages going to be delivered also tried to deliver which was untrue as we have a ring camera that would have picked this up. Finally got a refund for order , today the order was delivered was told to keep as gesture of goodwill . When opened 3 candles of 7 were in the package all out of their container and the empty containers for all the missing ones also so not a bad order as such but UPS delivery.

Twas the night before Christmas Yankee candle has no fragrance. This candle was a gift so not looking for a refund. What's happened to this brand, the candles used to fill the room with fragrance not any more

Yankee candles used to be really good but not anymore. Do not waste your money as they just smell of wax nowadays and let's be honest they're not cheap. You will be disappointed. Something has gone wrong with the company. I've had yankee candles in the past and they have had such a strong smell, sometimes a bit overpowering but your room was filled with the lovely smell, now the candles smells of wax, not even a slight smell. Very disappointing but as I said don't waste your money on these candles

Absolutely appalling customer service, complained as I bought 3 large jar candles, none of which had any smell whatsoever once lit.
Took ages to respond and when they did, I was asked to take images of the jar, wicks, labels, side angles of the wick, along with top angles.
I do believe they do this intentionally so that you can't be bothered and then they don't have to refund or replace.
A word of advice, if a customer isn't happy with your expensive products, do your best to keep them happy by offering replacements or refunds and they may use you again.
The flames are dangerously fierce and the black coconut caused soot damage to my fireplace.
I have since purchased one for £2.99 from HB and it puts yankee to shame

Items never arrived, no response from customer services to two messages sent over the course three weeks. Finally I found a phone number and just asked for a refund as I honestly couldn't put my faith in this company getting it right and now I'm waiting on the refund. Dont even deserve the one star

Ordered a product which cost nearly £12 but when the box was opened; it was the wrong colour. I was offered a refund on returning the product but for half the price I bought it for. Seriously?

Recently I bought a beautiful electric lamp with a glass piece on top to melt the wax, unfortunately the glass got broken. I spoke to Yankee customer service and you can not buy any replacement for it , so would have to buy the whole lamp again. Be warned everyone

Wasted 48hrs waiting for a delivery only half arrived 24hrs late told the other half was lost by courier now out of stock
Complaint requested but so called customer service decided I wasn't allowed to complain about them as she chose what to put in complaint
Emailed CEO and so far no acknowledgemnt 4 days later
Meanwhile they have my money and havent attempted any contact with me
Disgraceful considering the last order had half the stock go out of stock AFTER the had my money in their account
Buyer beware is all I can say

I ordered two candles for Xmas gifts. I received an email today informing me that half of my order had been cancelled, no explanation, no option to cancel the entire order, not even an option to choose an alternative candle, assuming it’s a stock issue they’re having.
Five minutes later, I received another email telling me “something wonderful is on its way” the other candle.
This truly is pitiful customer service, especially at this time of year when we’re all rushing around.
UPS inform me they’ll be delivering my order (half of it at least) tomorrow.
No they won’t, I don’t want it.
Never again !

Bought The Night before Christmas from Sainsbury's, loved the scent notes and thought it would be like some of the rest I've bought. But this candle had no aroma at all, infact it was pointless and total waste of money. Its really put me off buying anymore. Very disappointed.

I wouldn't even give it one star , but I had to to write a review. I have been waiting for my order for nearly two weeks. I have tried to contact them about eight times now by email and phoned up twice! I have asked for a refund and they told me my order was out for delivery, even though when I checked ups site it was waiting for a delivery date. I strongly advise that you do not use this company, the customer service is one of the worst I have came across!!!

Terrible company that obviously advertises stuff not in stock , doesn’t answer email and terrible slow despatch making excuse of being busy!! Off course your busy, it’s Xmas!! You should make plans for the upsurge in orders. You will be 1 quieter in future as I’ll switch to bolsious candles
