Great location
Great location, apart from trams to/from the station with luggage we walked everywhere from the hotel. We skipped breakfast at the hotel in favour of brunch at various nearby cafes- loads of choice. Rooms and bathrooms are very small but fully equipped despite the size and suitable for a short stay. Reception is largely automated but friendly staff help. Recommended for a short break provided you don't seek a palatial size room!

Overall basic but nice.
Overall, it was a very basic room. The location was pretty amazing, especially if you plan on going to the museums. The bus to the airport was also very convenient. Super easy to use. Just use your Apple Pay when you get on and then scan it again when you get off the bus at the rear, the staff was also very friendly and kind.
As for the room, it was very basic. The bed was OK pillows were a little lumpy. It was a small bed. The bathroom was decent. There wasn’t very much soundproofing so anytime someone came or left You could hear them. the only thing that I really wish there was was a small refrigerator so that I could’ve kept some fresh food in the room I was limited to getting just some fruit peanut butter and bread for snacks. There is a grocery store Nearby which was convenient. The neighbourhood was really sweet and quiet. I would recommend this hotel but I would be honest and say that there could be a few up grades.

Nothing special but fuctional, generally clean and in a good location. Rooms and bathrooms fine but v little space to move around. Twin bed rooms have beds next to each other so you may as well be in the same bed! Would use again as reasonably priced.

Mauvais rapport qualité prix
L’hôtel est bien situé, proche du tram, dans un quartier calme.
Malheureusement c’est tout ce qui est positif.
Impossible de faire un check in avant 15h sans payer un supplément. Lorsque nous avons enfin récupéré la chambre, il n’y avait pas de serviettes de bain, j’ai dû descendre à la réception en récupérer.
La chambre est plus petite que sur les photos, on ne peut même pas faire le tour du lit, ni mettre une chaise devant le bureau, ce qui le rend inutilisable. Je soupçonne une chambre une personne transformée en 2 personnes au vu du plan dans la chambre.
L’isolation est très mauvaise donc nous étions réveillé dans la nuit et tôt le matin (mais je crois que c’est souvent le cas dans les hôtels à Amsterdam), la télé ne fonctionnait pas (j’ai fait un mail pour les prévenir et je n’ai jamais eu de réponse), la moquette était trouée et sale. Les tasses n’ont pas été nettoyées alors que nous avons demandé à ce que le ménage soit fait. Et pour finir, l’ascenseur était hors service lors de notre départ donc nous avons dû porter les bagages sur 4 étages.
Très mauvais rapport qualité prix.

Nous sommes ravis d'apprendre que vous avez apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel, à proximité de l'arrêt de tramway et dans un quartier calme. Cependant, nous regrettons que certains aspects de votre séjour n'aient pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.
Concernant votre arrivée : l'enregistrement anticipé avant 15h00 est toujours soumis à disponibilité. Si une chambre se libère plus tôt, nous serons bien entendu heureux de vous accueillir, mais nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas le garantir, et cela engendre des frais supplémentaires. Ces frais sont indiqués dans l'e-mail de bienvenue.
Concernant la taille de la chambre : la chambre que vous avez occupée était de catégorie réservée et mesurait environ 12 m². Après avoir consulté le plan d'évacuation, vous avez peut-être comparé cette chambre avec d'autres chambres plus spacieuses de l'hôtel. Notre collègue de nuit vous a indiqué qu'il était possible de vous renseigner sur la disponibilité d'une autre chambre à la réception le lendemain matin. Il semble que vous n'ayez pas utilisé cette possibilité. Nous regrettons également la négligence initiale concernant les serviettes, ainsi que les désagréments liés à la télévision et aux tasses non débarrassées. Ces problèmes auraient certainement mérité une attention immédiate.
Concernant l'ascenseur : il est effectivement tombé en panne dimanche soir suite à l'intervention des pompiers. En raison du jour férié du lundi (Fête du Roi), la réparation technique n'a malheureusement pas pu être effectuée immédiatement, ce que nous regrettons sincèrement.
Nous comprenons que l'accumulation de ces problèmes ait affecté négativement votre perception du rapport qualité-prix.

Hotel is ideally situated, few mins walk from tram & bus stops. Not many but a few places to eat closeby. 2 stops away on tram & spoilt for choice of restaurants & cafes. Nice quiet & safe area at night too. Staff friendly & accommodating. Our safe didn't work & was rectified immediately. Rooms aren't huge but we're in a city where outdoors all day so no issue with that. The beds are super comfortable. We were on Floor 4 and despite what other reviewers said, we didn't hear a single door slam or anything to disturb us, even with some works going on in nearby buildings
Breakfast choice is enough to set you up for the day & same each day.

Top location
The hotel has a top location with excellent transport connections and is within walking distance of all major attractions (museums, Vondelpark, the historic canal system, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.).
The breakfast was a great way to save time in the morning before exploring the city and its surroundings — everything was fresh and tasty.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in earlier once our room was cleaned. You can also leave your luggage if you have a late departure.
The only reason I deducted one star is the cleanliness. The towels were quite worn out, although they were replaced with new ones after we asked. The room itself wasn’t very clean, even though we requested cleaning. I would recommend that the staff pay more attention to cleanliness.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Une chambre propre et bien équipée, c'est la base de chaque séjour chez XO Hotels Amsterdam, et il est clair que nous avons manqué le coche sur ce point. Le savon vide, le café manquant, les tasses non rincées — ce sont exactement les détails qui font la différence, et ils auraient dû être réglés dès le premier jour.
Ce qui nous touche, c'est que vous avez dû prendre les choses en main vous-même. Si notre équipe en avait été informée sur le moment, elle aurait pu intervenir immédiatement — c'est précisément pour ça qu'elle est là, disponible à tout moment pour résoudre le moindre souci.

Poco personale e molto poco attento.
Abbiamo dovuto aspettare che la receptionist finisse di fumare la sigaretta fuori per riavere le valigie.
Abbiamo chiesto se quando pulivano la stanza potevano anche rimettere delle tazze pulite e rifornire di zucchero e caffè’ dal momento che le avevamo già usate, ma hanno detto che non offrono questo servizio.

Great Location
The hotel was ideally situated, close to the tram stops, museums and restuarants, but just away from any external noise on a quiet side street. The breakfast offered good variety and was very tasty. The room was just the right size for our needs, just a little niggle there was still some rubbish at the bottom of one of our bins, when we arrived. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we came back to Amsterdam.

Obsługa jest po prostu fantastyczna, bardzo pomocna i przemiła! Lokalizacja również zasługuje na 5*. To był mój trzeci pobyt w tym hotelu i o ile pierwszy raz byłam po prostu oczarowana czystością (2022r) pobyt drugi już trochę gorzej (2024), natomiast w tym roku niestety brzydki zapach kurzu, wisząca pajęczyna nad półką w pokoju, widoczny stary kurz pod i między meblami . Na pościeli też znalazłam kurz :( Łazienka nieskazitelnie czysta. Nie dałabym nawet 2* ale obsługa cudowna.

Cudownie słyszeć, że nasz zespół znów zrobił na Tobie wrażenie. Przyjazna i pomocna obsługa to coś, z czego jesteśmy naprawdę dumni, i tysiące gości, którzy zatrzymali się u nas przez lata, mogą to potwierdzić.
Natomiast to, co opisujesz dotyczące czystości pokoju, jest dla nas bardzo ważną informacją. Przykro nam, że ten pobyt nie spełnił oczekiwań, które słusznie miałaś po poprzednich wizytach. Chcielibyśmy tylko wspomnieć, że gdybyś powiedziała nam o tym podczas pobytu, nasz zespół natychmiast by zareagował i zadbał o to, żeby reszta Twojego pobytu była bez zarzutu — jesteśmy zawsze pod telefonem i mailem właśnie po to, żeby szybko rozwiązywać takie sytuacje.

Great staff, but the facility and cleanliness are lacking
I had mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit.
However, the room itself was very small and lacked any soundproofing. The air pressure or force from other guests closing their doors actually caused my own door to shake every time. Most disappointing was the housekeeping; while towels were changed daily, the actual cleaning was nonexistent. I noticed a discarded cigarette in the common area of the ground floor outside rooms 1-3 on Day 1, and it was still there when I checked out on Day 4. For the price paid, this was definitely not value for money.

Posizione strategica
L’hotel è proprio dietro al Van Gogh Museum, ben collegato con i mezzi a tutte le altre zone interessanti della città.
Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, i letti comodi. Un unico piccolo appunto sulla pulizia: la stanza era molto polverosa e credo non sia mai stata spazzata nei 4 giorni che ci siamo stati. La moquette non aiuta e forse sarebbe necessaria la sua sostituzione per ovviare al problema.

Dietro al Van Gogh Museum, ottimi collegamenti con i mezzi pubblici, personale gentile e disponibile e letti comodi. Ha descritto perfettamente quello che XO Hotels cerca di offrire ogni giorno ai propri ospiti, una base confortevole e ben posizionata per esplorare tutto ciò che Amsterdam ha da offrire. Migliaia di ospiti hanno vissuto esattamente quella stessa esperienza e continuano a tornare da noi con grande piacere.
Prendiamo molto sul serio il commento sulla pulizia. La polvere accumulata nel corso di quattro giorni e una moquette che non aiuta non sono all'altezza dei nostri standard. Se ci avesse segnalato il problema durante il soggiorno, il nostro team sarebbe intervenuto immediatamente per garantirle un ambiente più fresco e pulito. La sua osservazione sulla moquette è preziosa e la porteremo direttamente all'attenzione di chi si occupa della manutenzione.
