Fantastic way to move away from Audible / Amazon. Good catalogue and interesting pricing plan that works out cheaper the more you use it.

The only slight negative is there isn't native integration with Sonos yet but the team responded extremely quickly when I raised this and it may be added in the future.

With this you buy books not a subscription and they stay with you forever.
The best bit is the audio books are not read by a bot in a stupid accent. These are real audio books. The pratchett ones have voices for each character and then the story teller to like a radio play.

This is awesome the only thing I can say bad is that the choice is not every book ever, but none are and I was in the £3.99 special offer choices and when I want to buy it showed normal price. I messaged and they replied within about an hour and had fixed the problem and replied to me with not an automated reply.

They seem genuine, honest and I can't say much more. With the name I kind of expected a temu type reply but bot from abroad that don't quite understand you. This is not that.

They are great.

Just as good if not better than audible. Just with a great mission behind it.

XigXag is everything that I have been searching for in my audiobook quest. I have been frustrated with my Audible subscription for years, and I finally decided to research alternatives. Turns out that XigXag meets needs that I did not even know I had. The XigXag pricing structure feels clear, fair and straightforward. No monthly fee involved, you pay one very reasonable starting price for each audiobook (which is lower than either the Audible or Libro.fm monthly one-book fee), and for every five full-price audiobooks you purchase, your price drops. There are also cut-price audiobook options that are often very good. Every year, for each user, the prices reset. I was happy with the highest price and now I have just hit the lowest price tier and I am overjoyed. I will say that the selection is somewhat limited if you compare it to the giants, but I have had no problem buying all of the literary fiction books that on my list and I have also discovered new authors here. Between XigXag and Libby (my library's audiobook lending site), I am in great shape. Highly recommend.

XigXag is amazing! I love that you pay per book and own it, rather than having a subscription model. The tiered pricing model is amazing (especially as the most expensive tier is still very competitive) - I'm on the £3.99 tier now and love how cheap the books are. Customer service has also been great the few times I've reached out to request a specific book.

I love xigxag! I have purchased MANY books through them and love how fair their book prices are, especially when you reach the discounted prices after buying more. They have a wonderful selection of audiobooks and the app is really easy to use.

Xigxag is my favourite app of all time! There is no subscription fee and no pressure. You just browse their amazing and extensive selection of audiobooks, pay for the one you want, download it and keep it forever. Also, the more books you download, the cheaper each download becomes. At the end of 2025 I was paying £3.99 for a high quality whole ass audio book! I listened to 23 audiobooks last year and each one was an experience. Did I love every audiobook I took a chance on? No. The same way as I don’t enjoy every book I pick up. But did I discover some absolutely amazing and breathtaking books on there? Yes definitely. My favourites being N0S4A2 by Joe Hill, Devolution by Max Brooks, How to Sell A Haunted House by Grady Hendrix, The Lost Ones by Anita Frank and The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones. There were others I loved too. I plan on using xigxag just as much this year. Audiobooks are such a great way to help me enjoy each day as I go about my daily business. It really helps when you are on your feet most of the day as I am. Just such a fab app and I can’t recommend it enough!

Xigxag is easy to use, high quality and great value. The non-subscription model is ideal and affordable, especially the more books you listen to. The x-book is a fantastic addition (at no extra cost!) allowing my children to read along as they listen. Highly recommended.

I love the fact that this is a British company and I am not forced to go to the American market for my audio books. I get through a lot of books while I work at my computer every day and the fact they get cheaper the more I get is absolutely brilliant. It may not have quite the volume of titles as the others yet but there is more than plenty to choose from and growing all the time. I discovered XigXag back in February this year and have read well in excess of 20 books so far. Love it!

I’ve been using XigXag for a while now and have always been impressed, but their recent customer service really deserves a mention. I received several XigXag vouchers for my birthday and was struggling to manage them all in one account. I contacted their support team and Mark responded quickly, warmly, and efficiently—he even wished me a happy birthday! He confirmed my voucher details and offered to combine them into a single balance so I could use them easily, and also mentioned they were already working on a better solution for situations like mine.

It’s refreshing to deal with a company that is not only friendly and personal but also proactive about improving their service based on customer feedback. XigXag clearly cares about its customers, listens to their needs, and acts fast to help. Highly recommended!

Spotify wanted ~10 pounds to let me finish their audiobook (or wait 3 weeks)! I re-listen to lots of chapters so my quota gets exhausted. I looked at audible again and my heart sank again, subscriptions and restrictions. I asked deepseek, up popped xigxag, I could buy the same book for less than 10 quid and re-listen as much as I want!

Xigxag is by far the superior audiobook app and the loyalty pricing is great. The team is outstanding; I recently enquired about a book that wasn't on the app, and Kelli quickly made sure it was available for me to buy! 100% recommend.

Just really delighted to find a viable alternative to huge unethical American corps. They don’t always have the books I’m looking for - and I haven’t been searching for obscure ones, so that’s a bit disappointing (hence a star docked), hopefully their catalogue will expand. Would also love if they expanded into e-books as in the UK there really isn’t a current alternative to the big US giants

As I’m moving away from American conglomerates, I deleted all my Amazon accounts, including Audible which I use a lot. So I was delighted to find this app which is actually cheaper than my previous app and much more flexible. Great to see a company from Cornwall breaking into the market too.

I plan to travel by car across France alone next month and thought audio books would provide good company. I'd never used them before, and was put off by subscription offerings. I came across xigxag and decided to give it a try. It's great. The app works seemslessly between my different devices ... phone, laptop and tablet. I'm a convert. I love the app and the concepts. I've found some real gems narrated by their own authors! Of course, you can only listen to them via the app - understandable.

Misleading. I checked to see that once I had purchased books, I would be able to download them, which it assured I could. What this means is Download onto the app to play offline, not actually download. My Children do not use smart devices, and xigxag assumes that all children have these. Now I have two books that I have purchased that can only be listened to off my phone, which defeats the object entirely. Half the point in an audiobook these days is to get away from screentime, not to encourage it! Very disappointed in the books I've now purchased that are totally useless to me.

Like others, I wanted to buy the odd audiobook without signing up to a subscription service. Xigxag offers that and a wide selection too. The X book option is a bonus. This is a great company and offers a personal quality of service and integrity. An ethical alternative to the behemoths with an at least equal if not better product.
