Fantastic company. I had never heard of this but was referred through my energy supplier. Advisors were friendly, non invasive questions and helped out with my energy with a fuel voucher.

The adviser was polite and the session itself was handled professionally, but the service was ultimately not effective or transparent for my situation. I engaged with YES Energy Solutions because publicly available information and referrals suggested that support of up to £500 might be available for households in hardship. This created a reasonable expectation that financial assistance could be considered.

During the assessment, I was asked for a large amount of personal and financial detail, including information about my household circumstances, disability-related needs, income, arrears, and even furniture requirements. This depth of questioning reinforced the impression that some form of practical support was possible.

However, after providing all of this information, I was informed that YES Energy Solutions cannot offer financial help with energy arrears at all, and that the only support available was general advice and a small £50 emergency card, which I did not qualify for due to the level of arrears. No meaningful assistance was available, and no connection to the hardship schemes I was originally led to believe might be accessible.

The outcome did not match the depth of the assessment or the expectations created at the point of referral. For vulnerable households with significant debt and complex needs, this process feels unnecessarily intrusive and time-consuming without offering any practical help.

Naomi had empathy and listened to me and gave me very helpful information and advice. She explained everything clearly and offered various options. I really appreciate that she called me
