just brought a nice little car off these guys Friendly team made me feel at home when I turned up to pick my car. There where some delays but that was them just getting the car ready they wanted the car right before they handed it over.

Could not ask for a better service and I would not hesitate recommending others buy a vehicle from them.

£22000 car paid in full and it hasn't even had a full check just mot n out the door.

Sold a beautiful car, BUT after inspecting the car which was a week or so later as I had that bad cold. When I did check the car PROPERLY it soon became obvious that it had been brought quick mot and out the door. The car set me back just under 22k and there was a Cracked windscreen, not put in description of the car, a small cut in one of the tyres, oh and it came with tyres that are £45/£50 who i was told by a tyre fitter as he was shocked that a car with that power is unreal. The garage said the speed limit is 70mph so they would be fine. Which I found to be a bit of a thick answer as its a 309 BHP so with that kind of power you can get to 70 extremely fast, also I was told to replace them straight away by tyre fitter as in this weather they are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. A bit like the bloke I spoke to on the phone, as he also said the crack on the window passed its mot but its getting worse with this extreme cold
It was. Not even checked over properly other than mot, we all know a car can pass an mot with 50 faults as long as they are not safety issues.the issues with the car we're not listed in description because (we dont have enough room to fit everything on) his words!!! so they list the good things and not the issues, thats very misleading. I was told after explaining my concern its a 22K car wot do I expect (unreal customer service) I asked them if they would work with me to resolve the issues which both parties were happy with. But just said it passed mot so deal with it IN DIFFERENT WORDS as salesmen do. So im left havin to put tyres on that are safe for BMW 1 SERIES 135I X DRIVE M SPORT 309BHP as i would like to feel safe in this weather especially with my son and wife as they dont care. I need to get the crack sorted before it gets that bad I get pulled over and possibly points in my licence. So £580 for SAFE tyres, dont know what the windscreen is going to cost as i dont know have the money to fix it. I have had possibly had 8 cars in the last 5 years and not had any issues. Especially issues thats gonna cost me around a £1000 at a rough guess as ive got to take to a garage and on the ramps so it can be inspected PROPERLY, and being told on the phone its 6 yrs old wot do I expect. I cant believe the attitude I received. Im deciding if its going back as I have 6 months to return under the consumer act. As its a large purchase. Which alot of people dnt know. If you are buying from here take a mechanic with you to check everything as they just mot them, list all the good things and dont have enough room to list any faults which is something a dodgey back street garage would say. And to be made to feel like u have just brought a cheap car at 22k like it nothing. No finance either. That why they are acting the way they are because they dont want u buying, they want u getting in debt so they can get their COMMISSION. JUST PURE GREED. I have brought £6000 cars and came with 100 point check, and tret 10 times better. My advice is swerve this place. This will go on all my social media platforms as I know they will have this taken down. But ill keep putting it up. Good luck everyone. JUST REPLYING TO YPUR VERY UNINFORMED RESPONSE. I HAVE BEEN BACK AND FOURTH WITH YOU ABOUT THE £45 TYRES ON BK AND £50 TYRES ON THE FRONT. I sent you various bits of proof that YOU CAN NOT THATS CAN NOT PUT MISS MATCHED TYRES ON AN X DRIVE ANYONE WITH A BRAIN CELL THAT SELLS CARS SHOULD KNOW THAT. YOU HAVE READ THE REASONS WHY YOU CAN NOT DO IT. BUT YOU TOLD ME TO IGNORE THE EVIDENCE I SENT YOU. IT STATED HAVING MISS MATCHED TYRES ON AN X DRIVE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE X DRIVE SYSTEM, IT CAN ALSO CAUSE ERATIC DRIVING DUE TO DIFFERENT GRIP ON DIFFERENT TYRES, ESPECIALLY BUDGET TYRES ON A HIGH PERFORMANCE 22K CAR. YOU CAN USE THE (IT PASSED ITS MOT) AND THOSE TYRES ARE FINE FOR THE SPEED LIMIT CRAP TO A JUDGE WHEN YOU CALL BMW LIARS. YOU BROUGHT THAT CAR, PUT IT THROUGH MOT N SOLD IT, NEVER EVEN PUT IT THROUGH A 100 POINT SAFETY CHECK TO SAVE YOU MONEY. WELL ITS GOING TO COST YOU ALOT MORE THAN TJE TYRES THAT SHOUKD HAVE BEEN ON THAT CAR. EVERY MAN AND HIS DOG WOULD AGREE A HIGH PERFORMANCE 4X4 CAR 309 BHP HAS TO HAVE AT LEAST MID RANGE TYRES ON DUE TO THE POWER OF THE CAR, NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SPEED LIMIT. BUT IF THATS YOUR DEFENSE THEN ITS AN EASY JOB FOR MY SOLICITOR. AND WHY YOU SAYING IVE HAD THE CAR FOR A MONTH??? IVE BEEN BK N FOURTH WIH U SINCE IT WAS DELIVERED. AND YOU HAD MY 1ST REVIEW REMOVED. HOW THE HELL ARE YOU STILL SELLING CARS. YOU DONT EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR STUPIDITY AND GREED BEING ON SHOW IN COURT. You have owned the vehicle for approximately one month, and as you stated in your own email, the windscreen has a very small chip. This was noted on the MOT as an advisory only and confirmed as not affecting the driver’s view. Minor stone chips are common on used vehicles and do not make the car unroadworthy.

Regarding the tyres, the vehicle is fitted with tyres rated well above the UK legal speed limit of 70mph and fully suitable for normal road use. While premium performance tyres such as Pirelli P Zero or Michelin Pilot Sport models are available as upgrades, they are not a requirement for safe or legal driving. The vehicle is also an xDrive model, offering enhanced traction and stability in typical UK driving conditions. Seasonal tyres, such as winter tyres, would in fact be more appropriate at this time of year than summer performance tyres.

Following your recent phone call, concerns were raised as to why a minor stone chip was not specifically mentioned in the advert and why the vehicle was not supplied with top-tier performance tyres. As outlined above, the chip is minor, advisory-only, and does not impact safety, and the tyres supplied meet all legal and practical requirements for road use.

The vehicle passed its MOT with only one advisory (the windscreen chip) and was sold as a used, 5-year-old car, not a new one. As explained at the point of sale, all used vehicles will have age-related imperfections, regardless of purchase price. Paying £21–22k does not make the vehicle “as new,” and we cannot reasonably hold used vehicles to new-car standards.

We always encourage customers to carry out their own inspections and welcome independent mechanical checks. However, we cannot offer new-car condition or specifications at used-car prices.

We take customer concerns seriously and aim to be transparent and fair in all our dealings. If you would like to discuss this matter further in a constructive way, we are happy to do so.

Good morning
In regards to your reply to my review and in order to put the record straight when I called you regarding the peeling paint I was abruptly told sold as seen and when I said I’ve only had the car a few weeks and paid almost £18000 for it I was told that’s nothing to pay for a car!! Unbelievable attitude tbh.
Secondly yes the warranty covered some of the repair but I had to pay nearly £1500 because they refused to cover the hours specified on the star diagnostic for hours required and your wrong when say double the hourly rate it I took it to a specialist and I only had to make up £150 extra in labour it was the items included water pump thermostat etc they refused to pay that cost me £1500 .
You also fail to mention the frontal damage which I had to put right and says it had had rough repair previously when he got inside the engine.
No I’ve been told my front brakes and discs shot and I’ve only done 2500 miles since bought it.
If you want I can send you the photos of the oil filter that he says had been in the car years it was so badly damaged and would not have worked .
You could say that’s buying second cars but my suspicions tell me this car had been bought cheap or px and flipped quickly with sold at a high profit.
Just saying not bitter but hey ho that’s life .

Ime well within my rights to leave a 1 star review .
Everything I’ve said in my review is true including your response to me when stated £18000 nothing to pay for a car .
That in my mind a very bad attitude to customer service .
Said what I needed to say on this matter just wanted people to know my experience 👍

It's a shame you need to lie in your 1-star review.

1- Not sure if you remember, but there wasn't peeling paint on your car. It was a small lift on some black vinyl on the side skirt of your car, which is vinyl, not paint, and that isn't covered by warranty. We emailed you back on 24/04/2025 advising that we would have our Vinyl guy redo the section free of charge but you stopped replying to us and never took up the offer for any dates that we gave you.

Cosmetically, we don't warrant paintwork or vinyl. At no point would i have said “what do you expect for money”. I would have reminded you that we sell used cars, and cosmetically, it's impossible for them to be perfect or for you to expect them to be perfect, especially after 60k miles and 8 years on the road. This was something so small you didnt notice it until after a month, if it was even there when we sold the car.

2- Unfortunately, you're right, your headgasket did fail 8 months into ownership, and I sympathise with you. I'm happy you took out our £799 warranty, which covers you for 2 years, The warranty company paid you out via the terms and conditions, but you used a garage that was double the hourly rate limit and also added service items which are excluded from cover. They have paid you out £1233.52, which is a return on your £799, and you still have over 1yr remaining cover and breakdown.

We replied to every email advising your next steps and tried calling 3-4 times. You never answered.

So while i understand your angry, I dont think your being entirly fair. 1 peeling sticker and a warranty claim that paid out when it was needed. You may not have read your terms and conditions for the labour rate or maybe you had a specific garage you wanted to use.

But a 1-star review seems a bit harsh.

Keys issue and lack of follow up is a major issue!

​I purchased my Audi A7 from Whitehor last year. The initial sales process and handover were excellent, which is why I am giving two stars. Everything went smoothly, and the staff was professional.
​However, a serious issue emerged shortly after the purchase which has been poorly handled by the dealer.
​The Issue:
​The car was sold with two keys, but only one is functional and assigned to the vehicle. The second key is an unassigned spare that is useless. More critically, the primary (assigned) key is faulty and frequently fails to be read by the car's computer, preventing the vehicle from starting or opening. This is a significant operational inconvenience and security risk.
​Lack of Resolution:
​I sent an email to the dealership detailing this critical issue few months ago but I have not received a single reply or acknowledgement.
​The dealership needs to honor the purchase agreement by providing two fully functional, correctly assigned keys and respond to customer service requests in a timely manner.

We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the vehicle keys and, in particular, the lack of follow-up to your previous email. We agree that failure to respond is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we apologise for this oversight.

That said, we must clarify that the vehicle was purchased over a year ago and is now outside of any warranty or dealer liability period. As such, we are unfortunately unable to offer a repair or replacement of the keys at our cost. Key faults and programming issues that arise well after purchase fall outside the scope of what we can resolve once the warranty has expired.

We do appreciate your feedback, especially regarding communication, and will use this to improve our internal follow-up processes going forward. Should you wish to have the issue resolved independently, an Audi main dealer or specialist would be best placed to diagnose and reprogram the keys.

Compared to other independent dealers I have encountered in the recent past, my experience with Whitethor was very positive. Ellis was my main contact, but I found all the staff I spoke with to be friendly, professional and not weird, overzealous or pressuring in any way, with no BS. I was also impressed at how much knowledge there was about the provenance of the car that I bought, as if they had taken care when sourcing it themselves.

When I collected the car, it was in stunning condition, with some minor alloy scuffs magicked away. It had obviously been well cared for by the previous owner, but the pre sale fettling was excellent with real attention to detail. This sort of stuff makes a big difference.

In my experience, Whitethor delivered a pleasant and professional service and I'm very happy with my new ride!
