Damaged House Sign
Sign arrived chipped and damaged. Initial communication was fine, until it was suggested that I return the slate sign to be fixed. This was no issue, if I as the customer was not expected to incur the cost of sending the sign back. Every time I asked if the company would arrange the return, I would just get ghosted and when communication happened after several emails, the same issue ensued. The company avoided and ignored a reasonable request and were unwilling to pay for the sign to be returned for repair. Who expects a customer to pay shipping on an item that arrived damaged to be fixed? Very very poor customer service. Would not recommend this company at all.

I start by saying Im not leaving a 2 star because Ive nothing better to do, Im leaving it because my experience with Welsh slate house signs was in fact a 2 star.
I ordered a sign as a gift. After 12 days the sign hadn't arrived, so rang the number a couple of times, no answer, emailed no reply, I emailed again, I got a short message back saying it will be posted out next week, I asked was there a delay as the delivery said 7-10 days and when next week? I got no reply. At this point alarm bells rang, so I asked for a refund. reply said refunded, I was so relieved! On checking account days later no pending refund there, I rang the bank to check, they said it would defiantly be pending if it had been refunded. 5 days later still NO refund. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. I can't comment on the sign just their terrible service.

Update!! I have my refund, so apologies for the misunderstanding regarding the refunding process, a one worded email saying refunded doesn't always give you a feeling of trust. However the review regarding customers service remains, calling your customer a liar isn't very good business practise and just proves my point regarding your customer service.

Hi, as with someone who feels compelled to leave another 1 star review, I am compelled to leave another 5 star review. Anyone looking at these 1 star reviews look at their previous reviews the most recent one also complains about a gate not being closed. I know some people have nothing else to do maybe but if you want to moan at least don’t be petty and try without succeeding to damage someone on purpose.

Excellent service. Ordering online was simple, quick & easy. I ordered late evening 12th December & to my surprise item arrived 1 week later just in time for Christmas!!

Our experience was stressful as the time taken was longer than expected . We were concerned that they would not send our product.
But they answered our emails promptly and when our slate sign did arrive , it was Beautiful .

Sadly I returned the house sign as it didn’t match the sign I had ordered. When ordering you are asked to fill in the details of requirements so that you can see how it looks. What is the point of this if they then produce something different? The result of the sign I received was very disappointing. I returned it special delivery and asked for a refund as it wasn’t my fault. Unfortunately that didn’t materialise. So I’m out of pocket for their mistake. No apologies or any comment whatsoever. I had to send several emails before any response. They clearly didn’t see it as their problem. Very bad customer service.
No matter how good the work was if it wasn’t as I ordered then it isn’t acceptable. I informed you on 28th September with no response and finally after a number of emails, I finally received a refund 11th October. The quality was good but not what I ordered!

Ordered my sign in August and it arrived in three weeks. Excellent quality. Really delighted with it. Looks great against the white walls of our cottage.

Excellent customer service, my emails were replied to quickly & with tracking information. My order arrived earlier than expected. My sign is absolutely beautiful & I cannot fault this company at all. Highly Recommended thank you

On initial on line research I found Welsh Slate Signs offered a greater selection of size of plaque, a good choice of finishes and fonts. I ordered on 4 July and it was delivered on 5th August.
Regarding the emails, my new email App was dropping the replies into the junk, but others into the inbox, once I had realised this I found all of the emails I had received.
On receipt, the sign was well packaged and the sign itself was of good quality and the letters were well engraved into the slate. Overall I am well pleased with the House Sign.
Regarding the packaging, We took it to our local Charity shop who welcomed it as they could use it.

Ordered on the 15th of June, should have arrived in 7 days. It's now been almost a month since my order and I still have not received it. Customer service is terrible - they don't answer the phone or emails. The only reply I've had is by filling in the online form, and then I was told 'it will be with you soon' and the rest of my messages have been ignored. Had to get a refund through PayPal.

My experience is the exact opposite of the negative reviews. Unfortunately my first sign was damaged despite the amazing packaging. Emailed company who supplied another one arrived today. All intact. Well done welsh slate. Fantastic customer service.

I ordered a sign on 26th May but having not received any communication advising when it would be delivered. I telephoned but the phone just keeps ringing never an answer. I sent an email no response so I emailed them to advise I wanted to cancel the order again no response either on the phone or email. So I asked PayPal to refund me. Then I got a response from the business but only after PayPal dispute intervention. I received a refund from PayPal but no thanks to the business. I would avoid this business and go elsewhere no customer service whatsoever

I ordered 2 signs on the 22/05/23 as the website promised delivery in 5 working days. When I had not received them, I emailed on the 31/05/23 asking when they would be delivered as it was urgently needed.
On the 1/06/23 I was told they would be delivered the following week, which they were not. On 06/06/23 I emailed again asking where they were and was told that they will be dispatched the following day with tracking. It is now the 09/06/23 and they still have not been dispatched. In this time my driveway walls were built and the builders will have to return at some point to fix these signs. Had a known these would take so long and not be delivered I would have shopped elsewhere.

After much searching for the right slate house sign I came across Welshslatehousesigns who had a very informative website & answered all my questions regarding size, design etc. I could have saved hours of ploughing through so many other websites only to find they couldn't provide what I wanted.
Not a problem here!
Before engraving I was sent a 'proof' to ensure all was correct. The Parcels 2 Go delivery came exactly when the tracking said it would. We are absolutely delighted with our purchase & it is now the envy of our neighbours!

My slate is great thank you but I need glue and fixings. I have phoned Welsh Slate House Designs to ask for a glue/fixing kit countless times and no one ever answers the phone. I have sent numerous e mails to them too and have not had the courtesy of any response. All I am asking for is a glue kit for my slate please!

Company took my money 3 weeks before sign was dispatched, after I had emailed them to find out where it was. Sign duly arrived and it’s very good I’m pleased with it. Fixing quite easy. However the amount of plastic packaging is disgraceful, my sign was wrapped in 14 meters of non recyclable plastic, when it could have come in a cardboard box with paper or card protection. This must stop.
Added after reply: I did not see anything about being encouraged to return the packaging, which I have done. If it was clear how to return it I wouldn’t have complained about the quantity.
