Christina was so thorough. Thought of things I’d never thought of. Felt great confidence that business would be dealt with thoroughly.

I didn't actually meet Ashton Sutcliffe when she acted for me when selling my house, but it was all dealt with efficiently. The fees were reasonable and any actions were dealt with promptly.
My only frustration is with the time it takes to deal with the legal side of any property transaction when it could all be done in a much shorter time. This is not a criticism of WBW, it is a criticism of the property buying and selling process in England.

I used Lisa Wilcock at WBW Solicitors for conveyancing when I bought my home, following the recommendation of a friend who had Lisa handle her home purchase a year previously: everything went very smoothly. Lisa and her assistant Sue helped me deal with any arising issues and were available to answer my queries throughout. Buying a home is a stressful life event, but Lisa and Sue really helped to make this process as straightforward as possible: they were both supportive and responded to my questions clearly and helpfully. Highly recommend.

I used them in relation to a redundancy settlement agreement. I have no issue with the advice I was given which was fine. However the cost ended up double what I anticipated and I had to cover the extra myself. There was a suggestion at one point that the cost may end up slightly higher depending on any further work that may come up but not to the level it ended up at. There was also no additional unexpected work from that point so there should have been no need for the unexpected extra. I did raise this and didn’t really get an adequate, in my opinion, response and have also mentioned it in response to their request for feedback but they never responded to that which was disappointing hence this review. Ultimately this hasn’t ruined my life, obviously, but it has left a sour taste and as a result I wouldn’t use them again and would be very careful in relation to managing cost in the future with any similar dealings.
