Buying a house isn’t always easy

We purchased a property through Wards…
We purchased a property through Wards Kings Hill and we highly recommend them. From our first viewing with the lovely Sam, and then the purchase via Be Chapman and Maria Meddings. Both Be and Maria always returned my calls and kept us in the loop. Our purchase process was lengthy and not an easy one due to our sellers solicitor. The stress we were under was immense, but Be and Maria were so professional and helpful and went above and beyond with us. I'm sure I had a few tears on the phone. Their compassion and understanding went a long way. You are not a number but a person going through a stressful time, and they treat you as such.

Very Disappointing Interaction
I called Wards, Dartford, to discuss flat fees on the sale of my son's Ebbsfleet apartment. They didn't call back on the same day as was promised, but, two days later, made a valuation appointment for me on behalf of Wards, Gravesend. The Gravesend branch called on the day of the appointment to say that it was very difficult to sell apartments at the moment. Nevertheless, I asked to go ahead with the valuation. They still tried to deter me and, when asked outright if they didn't want the business, they denied (twice) that this was the case. I was also told at 3.30 that the branch manager who was due to carry out the valuation at 4pm was in a meeting and might be late. I told them that he could arrive any time up to 4.30. They called at 4.15 to say that he was still in a meeting at which point I told them not to bother.
A very disappointing interaction with Wards from beginning to end.

Deal Team
I started my house sale journey with Will in Deal who was always friendly, professional and understanding. My situation wasn't straight forward, as with most people I'm sure, and the timing market wise was challenging, but I did always have confidence with the team in Deal that they would get the job done, which they did. I do wish to say thank you (apologies if I forget anyone!) to Lauren, Ellie, Dylan, Brooke and Amanda ... the property process is stressful and long winded but I always felt that I could reach out and the communication in return was always very much appreciated.
