Not as good as BT
I switched from BT to Vodafone and after 4 weeks of trying every day to make the setup work I very much regretted this decision . The Vodafone call centre is in Egypt and is not easy to contact . I spoke to at least four agents who were pleasant and helpful but they all failed to solve my problems . I needed real person to visit my home and make the setup function properly . I was told that Vodafone do not provide this service even at extra cost which I was prepared to pay . A second problem was that Vodafone cannot provide an adapter to make a wireless connection to a digital phone land .
Vodafone - please try to catch up with BT or at least stop hiding these inadequacies in you service .

Mistaken charges by Vodafone
I stayed on the Greek island of Chios and did not travel to Turkey. Chios is very close to the Turkish coast, and I believe my phone briefly connected to a Turkish network by mistake and I was charged £8 for data from Turkey . As I remained in Greece throughout my trip, I asked Vodafone to review my charges and refund £8. Their agent had great difficulty in understanding my problem although I explained it several times over but, at last he agreed to refer the problem. I would hear from them within 24 hours. Unfortunately I have heard nothing! This suggests the very poor quality of the staff employed to support customers

I understand that you stayed on the Greek island of Chios throughout your trip and did not travel to Turkey. As Chios is very close to the Turkish coastline, your phone may have briefly connected to a Turkish network automatically, resulting in the £8 charge for data usage in Turkey.
I also appreciate your frustration regarding the contact you had with our support team. I understand that you had to explain the issue multiple times before the matter was eventually referred for review, and that you were advised you would receive an update within 24 hours. Unfortunately, it appears that this has not happened, and I sincerely apologise for the lack of follow-up.
I can completely understand why this has left you disappointed, particularly as you remained in Greece for the duration of your trip and expected a timely response regarding your query.
Your concern regarding the Turkish network charge and the requested £8 refund should be reviewed by the relevant team. The delay in receiving an update is not the level of service we aim to provide, and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Complicated Customer Service System
Once we got the mobile broadband working, the speeds have actually been very good. However, the customer service experience has been incredibly frustrating. The phone system, Tobi app, and in-store support all feel unnecessarily difficult to navigate.
The AI phone assistant is possibly the worst I’ve encountered — it’s incredibly frustrating, often sends you to the wrong department, and wastes a huge amount of time. Once you do get through, different teams provide conflicting information, while emails and texts often contradict each other. There’s no clear email address or direct number to speak to someone who can actually resolve an issue.
You can easily spend over an hour just trying to get through and get a straightforward answer. It’s a real shame because, so far, the internet service itself has been reliable and fast, but the support systems let the whole experience down.
If you have the option, I’d seriously consider going elsewhere.
