Ultimate medical academy is the best thing that ever happened to me! I wasn’t planning on going to college to get a degree but they called me many times until I finally talked to someone. The person who called me encouraged me to enroll and believed in me and stayed on the phone to help me through the enrolling process. At first I didn’t know if I’d make it or not because I didn’t think I had it in me and I didn’t believe in myself honestly. I was torn to nothing by someone who made me believe I was worthless and undeserving but that door was closed and the door to success opened right away. Not only did UMA encourage, motivate, and believe in me, but not I believe in me to! Thank you to all the amazing staff at Ultimate Medical Academy!

UMA is a scam!! Me and my husband graduated last May from Medical billing and coding, we have yet to find a job, Paul and Dennis wear out our phones saying they are trying to find us jobs, but it is always jobs that we didn't go to school for. Plus, every application I feel out gets turned down. Me and my husband have given up on UMA helping us find a job. Nothing but a scam and wasted of our time and money when we keep getting turned down for not having enough experience.

I’ve had the most infuriating experience with Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA). Since September 2024, UMA has refused to verify my enrollment with the VA, repeatedly asking for transcripts from a school I never attended. Despite 5 parchment transcripts that state I never attended a school, the school they claim I went to emailing UMA directly and sending a certified enrollment verification form from the administration team that has a certified seal and signatures on it that stated I never attended the school, and an email directly from the admissions team to UMA....nothing has been good enough

Their military advisors are unhelpful and seem to lack basic knowledge or competence. Due to UMA's incompetence, I now have a debt with the VA and have had to re-pay over $1200 back. The 9+ phone calls and numerous emails I've made to fix the issue all resulted in false assurances, with UMA later saying the issue wasn’t fixed, only to find out the person I spoke to never gave me complete or correct information.

I’m using VA benefits, but UMA is trying to make me pay for everything, claiming I'm not eligible for benefits because they refuse to accept ANY documentation that proves I never attended the school they are claiming I did. I called the VA and confirmed that my enrollment verification form is perfectly acceptable. Yet, UMA still won’t certify my enrollment. I WOULD NOT recommend this school!

I hope NO military member, veteran, or civilian ever attends this school. They're only interested in getting more money from people than providing proper service. I’ll let this go on my credit before giving them another dime and I will be posting on all social media that I can find to never attend this school! Also, during the first 2 months of school, they harass you with numerous phone calls and emails and wont stop until you've answered all their questions! They call like 3 times a day!

The job placement is a joke, I have never been able to find a job in coding and billing due to not having any experience the career services people almost lost me a job I found in chart prep, no help ever. they don't return phone calls. I wasted time and money, don't let the people that work here fool you they can't do what they tell you.

This school call you every day of the week. The financial aid department is a joke. I don't think they train anyone that work for them. They read from a script and tell you anything to get you off the phone. When it's time to receive your excess funds, they hold your money. The school is very expensive, and they take most of your aid anyway. Students should not have to wait to receive excess funds, when tuition has been paid.

If you are looking for a job I suggest you apply for fast food and if you’re looking for a school then I suggest a community college. This entire company is a FRAUD! Every role offered is fake from advisors to financial aid reps the only thing that is real will be the debt you accumulate from enrolling here. If you still try to apply and get the position don’t trust anyone and use it for a temporary source of income ONLY!

This school apparently thinks breaking the law is morally and ethically acceptable in their organizational goals & ethos.

Are you aware that through the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018 you are
👏🏻LEGALLY👏🏻 required to do the following as a VA approved school?

Effective August 1, 2019, schools are not allowed to penalize or prohibit a GI Bill student from attending or participating in courses while awaiting VA payment (for up to 90 days).

The policy permits a student to attend their course of education when the student provides the necessary eligibility documentation. VA defines “certificate of eligibility” to be any documentation provided by VA that serves to verify eligibility under chapter 31 or 33.

The educational institution must adopt policy to ensure that it does not impose any penalty, including:
* assessment of late fees,
* denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or
* require the student using to borrow additional funds due to the inability to meet financial obligations to the institution as a result of delayed payments for educational assistance from VA.

The law prohibits the school from requiring a student to use his or her federal financial aid, or other sources of payment for tuition and fees while it awaits VA payments within the 90-day period. However, schools are not prohibited from allowing a student to utilize his or her federal financial aid, or any sort of aid or loan for tuition/fees during the interim period if the student wishes to do so. What a school may not do is insist that the student utilize this aid, take out loans, or do anything else so that the tuition and fees are paid in advance of the VA benefit payment.

If school is not compliant with the new law (i.e., a school is charging fees and/or barring the student from attending class even though the student supplied a Certificate of Eligibility and is still within the 90 days and is still within the 90day period, they submit a complaint to VA through the GI Bill School Feedback System.

Head over to the VA website to do some remedial training on what exactly you’re responsible for in being a VA approved school.

Educate your employees within your organization and *STOP* unenrolling students because *YOUR* people aren’t properly qualified or trained to do their jobs!!

I am nearing the completion of my medical program at Ultimate Medical Academy, and I am grateful for the exceptional education and support I've received. The program's curriculum is comprehensive, relevant, and aligned with industry standards. The instructors are experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated to student success. They foster a supportive learning environment that encourages engagement, critical thinking, and professional growth. UMA's program has prepared me well for a successful career in healthcare. I appreciate the emphasis on developing practical skills, such as patient assessment, medical terminology, and healthcare administration. I would recommend Ultimate Medical Academy's medical program to anyone pursuing a career in healthcare. I’ve been enrolled since August and have been in class since then. The fact that I’ve been waiting on a loan that I have to pay back since October is outrageous. You call financial aid and they are no help y’all are constantly taking the grant and loan money and I have yet to receive my loan mind you I started in August they started the loan process in October were in December now and I still haven’t gotten ANYTHING. Y’all have already started on the second portion of loan money and I’m ready to call the us department of education to report the issue because I’ve attended school at ivy tech previously and never waited this long for a loan. You would think this is money uma has to pay back and don’t. I’m starting to think this is fraud and I see what others were referring too with the financial aid issue.

Im currently a student here at UMA...i've been doing my courses for 5 weeks now. I have yet to have any of these problems that im seeing a lot of complaints about. Which is very concerning to me. Im pray I do not endure any of this because theres a lot at steak here. Im looking to change my life with such a big step I took such as the loan and the time im committing. The things im reading through these reviews can really change ones life for the worse. I pray these reviews have no validity to them...and Im in no way discounting what someone else may have experinced...But I will continue my journey under my own experience which has been nothing but a great one so far. If anything other than what I just stated is to occure in an undesirable fashion I will definitely come back to update this review!

Going back to school at UMA was absolutely my best decision for my future. Six years ago I never would have imagined getting to where I am at now, I struggled with a lot of daily life things many other student struggled with. But UMA was there EVERY step of the way. From enrollment to checking in on me, to congratulating me many times over for getting on the Dean's list. UMA is the greatest school filled with the greatest staff out there that are there to help and encourage you to make it. And I DID IT!! I completed school and walked the stage in Tampa, an unforgettable experience I could have never dreamed of. The cheering and support from the staff was so loud and encouraging. I thought the roof would collapse, the cheering and congratulations around every corner makes you realize you did it!! UMA is always there for you and wants to see you succeed just as bad as you want to see yourself succeed. You can do it!! Don't ever give up!

Worst decision I made, don’t make the same mistake I did.

They don't prepare you for the cpc exam. They give you false hope of making $24/hour after graduating. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Plus they make you feel pressured into taking the coarse after inquiry. I was offered a job after I graduated making less then what I was making.

I was enrolled at this school and I began my classes this past Monday on the 12th of August. Yesterday, while I was working on my second week of courses, my courses are nowhere to be found when I refreshed my browser. I’m thinking it’s a technical issue and contact tech support. They tell me that my enrollment was canceled due to a misdemeanor case I had on my background check from 2018 that was dismissed from court. They said I could re enroll and start all over again after I got it expunged. But why would they just kick me out instead of working with me while I worked on getting it expunged???? The financial aid was reversed so hopefully I don’t owe anything. All that hard work for nothing! I’m going elsewhere for online schooling!

I have read all these reviews and they are all the same. If everyone is being scammed by financial aid and everyone is saying the same thing and we don’t know each other, don’t you think something is wrong with financial aid

Uma has mishandle my financial aid my Reimbursement Was Different then What I Saw On Ledger My Leadger say 2100 I only got back 700.00 I feel this school Is Nothing But A Scam They Charging For average point of my gpa Which 450.00 A Point I never heard Of It Im Withdrawing and going to take legal Actions...

It took me a week in a half so I can withdraw thay dident awnser my emails call backs and finally when thay called it was finance who would of known thay all give you different amounts say one thing do another I got 26 documents were thay can't figure what thay want to give me !!! If anything thay are charging all week and a few days more if I'd say somthing ant right I asked multi times what I owe never gave me awnsers I asked once again not even I was charged books and microsoft am I getting that back I dident get neither I bought books don't I get my payed by me back the online books 5 assignments dident open not even technical can awnser what's the problem I called texted and no awnser it's normal I guess ? I told them send the money back to fasa I don't care less after repeating it over to me I wasn't expecting any money I had to ask for them or I'd not get any so what' I got screwed and books I no longer need

I put in my info on their website for them to contact me. Next thing I know I’m getting a call thinking I’m gonna get basic information, and I’m getting signed up already and on a phone call for an hour. All I wanted was basic info not to be caught off guard with filling out the application and enrolling. I had to end the call so because I had things to do. And when I wasn’t able to call back to finish that day I got a long text message about how they need to get me to fill out my financial aid forms today. I felt uncomfortable with how abrasive and fast everything was so I decided to ignore them and they have been calling my phone multiple times a day and sending text. After seeing these reviews I’m glad I didn’t submit the financial aid forms

I had applied to this school back in May 2024, I did the orientation but I had to withdraw from the school at the end of May. My financial aid was coming close of running out but the school told me that they can used the rest of it plus I would have to pay $547 a month before classes starts. So I left the school just for them to keep calling me over and over again for over a month with the same sentence they been asking me " I see you cancelled your enrollment with the school is there anything we can do for you? My answer always be the same, "No my financial aid is running out." I wish they would stop calling me everyday just leave me alone.
