After reading these reviews I did wonder if I should give this company a wide berth but I was pleasantly surprised! I was building my own design oak pergola so wanted specific sizes and sleepers uk let you do anything you want at really good prices. Delivery will take 2 to 3 weeks but plan ahead and it will be fine. Ignore the bad reviews during spring 2020, it was 'covid chaos' and all suppliers were having problems. Im a professional building contractor and it was difficult time for everyone!

I ordered despite the poor feedback here — and I am glad that I did.
My order was for 30 oak sleepers, 22 at 1800mm and 8 at 2600mm.
The order was placed on 7 September after Martyn at UK Sleepers had confirmed that delivery would be no later than 2 October. In the event, the sleepers arrived today, so a few days earlier than the deadline.
Most of the sleepers are clearly Grade A. A small number, perhaps 3 or 4, are less good.
On this basis I might have opted for 4 stars, but I have added the 5th star for Maros, the delivery driver, who was both most helpful and very amusing...

I don't mind waiting if I know what is going on. The complete absence of any kind of communication is what the problem is here. 1 email or 1 phone call answered and I would be reasonable about the long wait. Leaving customers blind while you're sitting on their cash is a disgrace.

I ordered 18 sleepers of various sizes on the 28th of June 2020, they arrived promptly on the 2nd of July 2020.

Quite a lot of reviews have bemoaned the delivery times and customer service of this company, however I have had no such issues.

I've waited longer for Amazon Prime stuff to come through the post!

My world has crashed ! This company should be voted the worst company in the UK.
Ordered on 4/05/2020 and was told it will be delivered in 10 working days , guess what? I got my delivery on 29/05/2020 after spending them emails to the useless General manager Ian Bartllet.
Item arrived damaged and wrong , what I got was just a pallet if off cuts and not the 2.5m length cladding for 8m2 ordered .I have asked for refund and will also take them to small claim court , I have to now order a new cladding from another Company.
I feel so disappointed with myself for using this company.

The customer service has been lacking, and the delivery time has been a lot longer than expected (34 working days, 47 actual), having missed 2 promised delivery windows. They had actually misplaced the order, and only found it after I chased by phone, they did not take action after I emailed them twice.

Quality of the wood is good, but delivery lacked instructions so have had to chase for those too.

The special fixing they supplied to fit the special screws they supplied was two sizes too small to actually drive the screws.

Planters come with neither a base nor a liner, which is not clear on the website.

I'll go elsewhere if I need more.

Give this company a chance during these uncertain times we are currently living in !!!! Granted we had to wait for a delivery but who isn’t !!!! No one is on full staff levels and negativity should not be priority when we actually do not know business / peoples facts !!!!! My sleeper delivery has arrived after a wait which Was and is to be expected and was delivered by a lovely driver after a lovely voicemail received !!!! all the best uk timber stay well and stay safe and I will purchase from you again thank you

Long wait time for delivery. Bad costumer service Emails ignored phone contact never answer. Avoid !!!! Wood arrived not the best quality and some pieces damage.

Unfortunately the same problem as many others are having - order placed ages ago, no delivery and no response from them. Emails ignored - no hope of ‘phone comtact

Placed an order on the 17th April still have not received my order sent countless emails asking where my order is and asking for a refund have had one reply to say it is 20days delivery to my area and I am now on day 25... I am not sure how to take it further regarding getting my money back if anyone has info please let me know.... my advice to anybody thinking of ordering from this company DONT you don’t receive your order and don’t get reply’s to your emails

After reading the bad reviews this morning I was c0ncered as I placed a large order a month ago and was expecting delivery in 10 days this was to build a birthday present for someone who does not understand the issues at present.. However I phoned this morning and got straight through to a loverly lady who was mega helpful and has promised to phone back. She said there was an increase in sales and lack of people due to the lockdown. I think most companies are struggling at the moment and people need to more understanding. They have a back log of 1000's of emails and they are trying to help everyone.

Hopefully my order will be received shortly so will let you know when I here back.

In my opinion and on my experience with uk sleepers, uk timber I would advise you to find an alternative source. The customer service well they don't have one , you can't reach a manager to find any information on your order or to complain.
On placement of my order I was told that my order would be with me within 10 working days as I live within 40 miles of them, 21 days later still no order and I keep getting no satisfactory answer out of them. I will be taking it further with regulative bodies and doing my upmost to tell as many people as possible not to use this set of companies.
Please take my advice and seek an alternative company.

Like many other customers, I wish I’d read the reviews before placing an order. I’ve been waiting over a month for delivery and still no idea when it will be here (I wouldn’t mind but I’ve paid £190 for delivery!). I appreciate that during COVID-19 there might be delays but it’s not like they’re having to produce these sleepers from scratch. Would recommend anyone to look elsewhere. Terrible!

Terrible service.
Placed order March 2020 with estimated 10 day delivery. Heard absolutely nothing and tried telephoning without success so I emailed over a fortnight ago requesting update, again heard nothing.
Throughout I expected a degree of delay due to current situation and have expressed that in my communications but whilst they seemed capable of taking payment quickly they appear to be devoid of a customer information service, unlike other companies I have successfully ordered through in the last 2-3 months!
Yesterday I emailed cancelling my order and requesting a refund by 31 May 2020.

Ordered a raised bed planter on 17th of April.
I expected delivery to be slightly longer than usual.
Almost month later heard nothing, emailed for an update no reply.
Emailed and cancelled the orde. Will they read it and refund I have no idea.
I expect to have to force a refund via PayPal / visa.
I know these are odd times, but they can take your money ok and a reply to email costs nothing.
Will not use this company again.

Dreadful. I wish I'd read the reviews here first.
I placed an order for over £1000 for oak sleepers on 16.04.2020 with a quoted 10 day delivery time. Allowing for the current pandemic lockdown and likely delays I emailed them once this delivery time was exceeded to be told (by Kallum) it was now 15 days. At 15 days I was told there was no date for delivery but "it won't be much longer"...The last email I had, after 15 working days said "there is nothing on the schedule for you as of yet I'm afraid". This was 6 days ago and I've had no reply since.

I've now cancelled my order (remains to be seen how long a refund takes) and ordered, more cheaply, from The Luxury Wood Company, who actually answer their phone and have good online reviews.

I am updating my review based on the quality of the goods received, the sleepers were exactly what we needed and the quality was good. Whilst the communication wasn't great the quality of product deserves a better rating than 1 star.

I placed an order on the 6th of April for almost £600 and still waiting for my delivery after sending 5 emails I finally got a reply from kallum telling me that due to the short staff they was not working to there promises of 10 days or less to deliver but to 15 days is what kallum advised me of its now 17 working days and still nothing I have tried calling and sending another 4 emails to sales and kallum once again with no reply they say there short staffed in the office but funny how they had enough staff to accept order take payment and send out invoice the day after speedy taking the money but speedy in nothing else they have charged me £130 for delivery it would turn up on horse an cart quicker for far less amount what a joke I would advise if you want sleepers go to railway sleepers. Com they answer there phone keep you informed and speedy delivery they know how to treat there customers I made a big mistake not going back to UK sleepers ever again poor poor poor service

See reviews for "Uk Timber" (uk-timber.co.uk), which uksleepers.co.uk is part of. I understand that things are difficult with Corvid but that does not excuse not being open about delivery times when the order is placed, advertising and charging (nearly twice what was advertised rate) for "dedicated delivery" and then afterwards saying that they need to wait for more orders in my area, and refusing to give any updates on it apart from saying delivery times are extended to "around 20 working days" and they'll call the day before. There are currently no phone lines open, no replies to emails and more often than not no response to the chat.
When I did get through the chat response was "If you want a refund that is fine. If not they are the lead times. Many thanks." I'd echo the reviews of UK Timber - staff are really unhelpful.

I purchased a coffee table lovely looking. But they had two change the first one due to table top splitting. The second one has done the same.but all so the leg is coming apart from the top.i have asked them to sort this problem. As I don't think it is safe.they are not interested in fixing it.they tell me it the 2nd table that they have supplied just don't seem to care.shame they can't sort the problem for me because I still want the table please be warned.customer services not good.
