Complaint Regarding Misleading Sale and Poor Customer Service – Türk Telekom Dealer

On January 17, I visited a Türk Telekom dealer located on İzzet Baysal Street in Bolu to purchase a portable internet (mobile WiFi) service. I brought my own Türk Telekom–compatible mobile WiFi modem and specifically asked whether it was compatible. The employee named Seyran assured me that it would work and stated that if there was any issue, I could purchase a device from them.

Based on this information, I purchased a prepaid data line and paid 1,610 TL in total (1,050 TL for the line and 560 TL for a 100 GB package). After inserting the SIM card, the device failed to connect (red network light), and the staff could not resolve the issue. I was incorrectly told that my device was faulty, although it was later confirmed by technical service that the device was fully functional.

Additionally, another employee named Tuğba behaved in a rude, dismissive, and disrespectful manner, using imperative language and mocking gestures and tone. The service was never usable, yet my refund request was rejected with the claim that the line had been “used,” even though no usage details could be provided.

I request:
• A full refund of 1,610 TL
• Cancellation of the data line
• An internal investigation into the conduct of the mentioned employees

I reserve my right to apply to consumer protection authorities if this issue is not resolved.

Krijg zonder te zeggen of te vragen een abonnement voor tv en internet waar ik voor de tv niet om gevraagd heb. Internet snelheid is over gepraat en de rest niet. Krijg ook extra pakket waar ik niet om gevraagd heb. En waneer je een klacht schrijft krijg je geen antwoord, alleen een sms dat het opgelost is. Hoe dan als je de klacht niet beantwoord. Turk Telekom

I am a student and extremely frustrated with Turk Telekom’s internet service. Despite multiple calls and technician visits, nothing was fixed. I used to get 2000–3000 ms ping, and now I constantly receive “request timed out” errors, meaning there is no internet at all.

Charging around 500 TL per month while failing to provide even a basic connection is unacceptable. It took me nearly 30 minutes just to load this website and write this review. This level of service is truly disappointing.

Turk Telekom is worst internet service provider

The internet service provided by Turk Telekom is extremely poor! Frequent interruptions to the internet service that sometimes last more than a day and when it comes it is weak network. I called customer service and, when they decide to take your call, do not give any explanation to why the internet service is down. Customer care is abysmal and nonexistent. Absolutely rubbish internet service provider that lack any degree of customer service or professionalism.

Gezwungene 1 Stern und das ist schon Zuviel!!! Ich würde denen sogar - 5 Sterne geben. Sehr unfreundliche und Arrogante Personal. Angeblich habe ich ein Vertrag abgeschlossen und wenn du Infos brauchst schicken sie dich quer durchs Antalya keiner ist zuständig und landest dann in der Hotline nach 2 Stunden Nummern tippen darfs du noch Vertragsstrafe zahlen. Filiale Mark Antalya ist besonders Arrogant und unfreundlich, haben keine Lust zu Arbeiten.
PS : bei Guthaben Karte entstehen angeblich Steuer Schulden wir durften 950 Lira pro Karte zahlen!

Turkey's Digital Decay: The Peddler Mentality, Data Scandals, and Systemic Bankruptcy
The year is 2025. Turkey's digital infrastructure is no longer just experiencing a "service" problem; it is facing a full-blown "systemic decay" and "technical bankruptcy." The issue is no longer just the cabinet on your street; it is the scandals festering within these companies' databases, customer portals, and core service flows. The entity we face is no different from a street peddler selling a disposable product. Their core strategy is built on one simple premise: "Sign them up, forget them, and tame them with exhaustion."
Act One: The "Team Intervention" Lie – A Corporate Defense for Desperation
The "Our teams have been dispatched" lie, told to you upon reporting an outage, is the cornerstone of this rotten order. The vast majority of ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have no "teams" of their own in the field. They are intermediaries, abandoned to the mercy of the main infrastructure provider (the lead actor). As the main provider's disgrace is contagious, the only defense mechanism they can find against this helplessness is to stall the customer for days with this lie.
Act Two: The Lead Actor's Bankruptcy and the "Confession from Within"
At the center of the chaos is the audacity of the main infrastructure provider, managing a critical 24/7 service with a 9-to-5 civil servant mentality. The situation is so dire that a bankruptcy of trust is underway, where their own employees are heard advising, "We work for that company, but we strongly advise you not to subscribe."
Act Three: The Peak of Technical Incompetence – "Defective Service" and "Data Scandals"
This systemic decay is now revealing itself not just through outages, but through two new and deeper scandals:
Chronic Defective Service (Constant Instability): The issue is no longer just the internet cutting out. Even when it appears "working," the service is "defective." In exchange for the fee paid for a nominally promised "100 Mbps," the customer receives an inconsistent and unusable data flow that constantly fluctuates—15 Mbps, 40 Mbps, 20 Mbps. This isn't "slowness"; it is a chronic case of "defective service" that lacks the promised qualities and sabotages continuity.
The Systemic Data Scandal (Incorrect Information): Technical incompetence has now metastasized to the companies' own core databases—their "brains." When a customer's Static IP address, such as ***.***.***.***, which they pay extra for and actively use, is displayed for over a week in the company's own customer portal (Online Services) as a completely irrelevant and incorrect IP like ***.***.***.***, it is a "data management scandal." If this situation remains unresolved despite numerous reports, and the customer is fed "copy-paste" and irrelevant answers, it is definitive proof that the company is oblivious to its own technical systems and the very services it bills for.
Act Four: The Audacity of No Oversight and the Comfort of Impunity
How can all this fraud and these scandals continue so brazenly? The answer: A massive problem of effective oversight and a lack of deterrence mechanisms. The industry knows that with no heavy sanctions, there is no tangible price to pay for breaking promises and failing customers. This lack of oversight gives them the audacity to "promise in the ad, hide in the contract, and forget in the service."
Act Five: The Art of Attrition and Chronic Helplessness
This system is designed to psychologically wear down, discipline, and defeat the customer. Constantly fluctuating speeds, erroneous customer portals, and unreachable representatives... all are tools to drain the customer's energy. The helpless consumer, like a drowning man clutching at a snake, flees from one ISP to another. But this is merely embracing a different snake in the same swamp. Because the infrastructure is the same, the mentality is the same, and the lack of oversight is the same.
Final Call: This Digital Gordian Knot Must Be Cut!
This is an open and forceful declaration against corporate fraud and a mentality that holds the consumer in contempt. The solution lies not in shinier ads, but in the urgent reform of the main infrastructure provider, in ISPs abandoning the peddler mentality, and in regulatory bodies immediately implementing deterrent oversight mechanisms that severely punish these "data scandals" and "defective services."
We demand service, not stalling. Transparency, not lies. And accurate systems, not faulty data. This is not a privilege; it is our most fundamental right, usurped.

Failure to Provide the Promised Internet Speed Under Contract

I have been a loyal Türk Telekom customer for over 25 years, regularly using home internet, mobile lines, and Tivibu services. Throughout this time, I have remained a committed customer of your brand. Unfortunately, I must now express my disappointment and state that this long-term relationship has come to an end.

In my neighborhood, Türk Telekom infrastructure supports internet speeds of up to 50 Mbps. My current plan, “Fiber Internet Welcome Campaign 8,” provides service up to 24 Mbps. However, as shown in the attached screenshot from Türk Telekom’s own speed test, I am receiving only 6.4 Mbps download and 5.2 Mbps upload speeds.

Assuming this was a temporary issue, I contacted customer service. Unfortunately, I was told that “your infrastructure supports up to 12 Mbps.” This response clearly contradicts both the terms of my contract and the official infrastructure availability results.

In 2025, while users in Türkiye are able to receive up to 1000 Mbps fiber internet for the same price, I am unable to receive even one-fourth of my contracted speed. My complaint is not about pricing — it is about Türk Telekom’s failure to deliver the promised service and the lack of attention to customer satisfaction.

In light of the above, I hereby file a formal complaint regarding the failure to provide the contracted internet speed and the inadequate support I received from customer service. I kindly request that my connection speed be adjusted in accordance with my contract and that a written explanation be provided regarding this matter.

Türk Telekom

Türk Telekom – A Company That Fails to Deliver Its Promises and Ignores Its Customers

On October 24th, 2025, I applied for a corporate internet connection from Türk Telekom.
They scheduled three appointments, but no one ever showed up — each time promising “we’ll come today.”

I lost time, productivity, and money. Their customer service only repeated scripted responses with no real action taken.
Meanwhile, my existing Superonline contract expired, forcing me to pay high bills without a renewed commitment.
I also had to pay extra labor costs because one of my employees waited for their team during the promised installation hours.

Despite all this, Türk Telekom never apologized or compensated the damage.
Such negligence and lack of accountability from a so-called national telecom company is completely unacceptable.

Türk Telekom has become a company that breaks its promises and disregards its customers’ rights.

A warning to all corporate clients: Think twice before signing any commitment.

The most incompetent and dishonest…

The most incompetent and dishonest company in Turkey

I have now experienced two separate issues with this company this year alone.
They both involve blatant over-billing, charging for late payment (when their website experiences persistent failures which do not process payments - regularly!), failure to send documentation after making a complaint to their customer services teams, and regular outages of their systems in their stores (especially when you go to pay your bill!).

And mis-selling (home internet with fixed term but they continue to bill after the contract end date and claim THE CUSTOMER has to call them to cancel the service - oh yes!) and then charge you for being "out of contract" at prices at 50% higher than the contractual prices.

And even worse, they refuse to accept any responsibility nor to provide escalation points and contacts (after the customer services people say the company won't provide any refund and they will not pass you over to a supervisor for escalation).

If any organisation is utterly futile to deal with, it is this crap show.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!

They advertise their tourist cheapest…

They advertise their tourist cheapest at about 440 tl which is around £8, on their website. When you go to buy a SIM at any of the turktelekom stores you find out you have to purchase the SIM for 2000 tl about£40. I didn't read anything like that on their webpage. I had a wasted very long walk to visit the main Turktelekom store

Ich bin seit fast 2 Jahren dort und…

Ich bin seit fast 2 Jahren dort und nutze eine Sim Karte heute musste ich einen Beleg haben das meine Nummer auf mich registriert ist dafür schickt man mich durch halb Antalya von einer Filiale zur anderen bis dann mal einer so kompetent ist und sagt das man es nur an einer Stelle bekommt .das ist absolut kein Service es kann nicht sein das man dafür eine halbe Rundreise machen muss wenn an fast jeder Ecke ein laden vorhanden ist ich kann es auf Grund diesen schlechten Service nicht empfehlen zudem sitzt man dann noch über einer Std bis man dann mal dran kommt

I used Turktelekom for five years

I used Turktelekom for five years, and yesterday I switched to Turkcell, and I’m regretting wasting five years of stress and frustration on that shitty company…. Every time I go to the branch they don’t accept cash, they don’t accept certain bank cards, and they treat you in a very unprofessional way. The system is always down. Customer service is very bad. Online app is always not working well.. thank God I am free of that shitty company

Don't Expect to Make a Call in an Earthquake

This lack of competition affects new technology. For example, Turkish government recently blocked many international e-sim companies. Critics believe this happened because of lobbying from the big three providers to limit cheaper alternatives and protect their own profits. , customers, with hands tied, forced to choose between these few powerful companies. When an earthquake hits, you can't call anybody. Following major earthquakes, the mobile networks of all three major operators have repeatedly collapsed, leaving people unable to contact their loved ones or call for help
