Reply to Ana Maria Pasca's comment
Dear Everyone,
I would like to formally respond to the review left by Ana Maria Pasca regarding TranBay Global.
To begin with, we did not know Ms. Pasca personally until this matter escalated near its conclusion. According to her own account, the shipment in question was originally entrusted to us by a Pakistani intermediary, and she claims that the goods actually belonged to her. We fully understand that this Pakistani individual may have been acting as her agent or employee. However, the facts are as follows:
This Pakistani client had been overdue on freight payments totaling approximately USD 3,000 for several months, and since January 2026, he had placed no new shipping orders with us. As a legitimate risk‑control measure and to recover the outstanding debt, we placed a hold on all shipments belonging to this Pakistani client – which, to our knowledge, comprised 8–10 consignments, none of which were his own property; he was merely an intermediary.
After one month of storage, the accumulated warehousing and sorting fees, together with the original unpaid freight, exceeded the total value of the goods held. We conducted a thorough internal investigation into this case. Contrary to Ms. Pasca’s claim of USD 4,000, our records show the actual value of the two shipments we retained was USD 3,362.74 – a figure we verified through recorded interviews with Ms. Pasca’s own suppliers. (For clarity, Ms. Pasca had a total of 4 shipments with us; we only held 2 of them. This may explain why her estimated total value differs from ours.)
Ms. Pasca’s decision to publicly name our company is, in our view, misguided. Her proper recourse is with the Pakistani agent she chose to engage. We have been working with that intermediary since 2024, and this issue involves multiple shipments, not just hers. Any frustration should rightly be directed toward her own agent, not toward us.
Furthermore, before any final disposition of the goods, we reached out to Ms. Pasca on at least three separate occasions, clearly stating that if she was indeed the true owner, we would release her shipments immediately upon her settling the outstanding amount on behalf of her Pakistani agent. Unfortunately, we never received any constructive response from her.
This concludes the full account of the matter. We appreciate your time in reading this, and we trust that all observers will assess the facts fairly.
Best regards,
Jerry Stone
