The meals are appalling. I don't understand the positive reviews. A skinless piece of chicken with a smear of sauce? Three stuffed shells with tomato sauce? I am still hungry after this meal - and I am not a big eater. Tovala confirms that sauces contain high fructose corn syrup - yuck and unhealthy. Recycling is a joke - WHO is going to scrub the aluminum trays so they can be recycled? The cool paks are an environmental disaster, unless you donate to a food pantry. The foam - I don't even know what it is called? - is a huge environmental problem in itself.

These are the best meals I’ve ordered from any company. The quality and ease is so comparable to the price. I am a single woman who finds it very difficult to cook for one person. This makes it extremely easy. I would recommend 10 out of 10.

Tovala's meal kit service is a few steps above some of the other meal kits that I've used over the past 8 years. I have been ordering their meals for just over a year now. Their meals are perfect for Seniors, Singled, Disabled, People on the Go, Folks who don't like or know how to cook and so many more.
This meal service has become so important for me since due to disability, I can no longer stand to prepare meals for myself. I am someone who loved to cook, create new recipes and try new flavors. Now, I can get a meal together in a few seconds. Place it in the oven and will have a perfectly cooked delicious meal in about 20 minutes.
The Tovala Smart Oven is a high quality appliance. You can air fry, bake, broil, steam, and reheat, all in this one appliance. You can scan your recipe card, other manufacturers QR codes or create your own and the oven knows what steps to take to prepare your food.
Tovala's food is fresh, high quality and most important DELICIOUS 😋.
The food arrives in individual boxes that are filled with the ingredients for you to put your meal together. This step takes all of a few seconds. Place your tins in the oven, scan the code and press start. Easy, peasy.
What is most noticeable, you are NOT eating a precooked TV dinner. You are eating a meal that is either very close or is restaurant quality.
Their menu consists of Filet Mignon, Shrimp, Hake, Salmon, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Turkey, etc for proteins. The accompanying vegetables are very fresh, precut (mostly) and ready to go. Your side dishes like mashed potatoes, noodles, Mac and Cheese, grits, pasta are hearty servings ready to be paired with the rest of your meal items.
The serving sizes are perfect for me and sometimes a bit large. I would never complain about their serving sizes being too small. The nutritional information can be found by clicking on the meal in the app and selecting nutritional information. Meals are also labled as high protein, GPL-1, Vegetarian, etc. So if you're looking for something specific they're easily found.
Each week the menu changes. There is an abundant selection. Some you can customize the protein you'd prefer. There are so many absolutely delicious menu items, that I can't wait until they come back into rotation. I find myself excited for Wednesday evenings to see what an upcoming week will have. Yes, the food is that good.
Your meats arrive in seperate cryovac packaging within your delivery box, generally ontop of the ice packs to keep them as cold as possible during shipping to keep from spoiling.
Tovala has put a lot of thought into their packaging. The boxes easily fold down to recycle. The tins can be washed and used again or recycled. The delivery box, ice packaging and insulation all are easy to break down for recycling too.
Tovala's Customer Service is outstanding. The 2 or 3 times that I needed to contact them regarding either my package being stolen, no fault of theirs, or if a meat product had been damaged in shipping, I received a quick reply and resolution. Their staff is very friendly, patient and an absolute joy to speak with via phone or email.
All in all, Tovala has been a game changer for me. Their food is top notch. Their smart oven is unlike the others on the market. It has replaced my using my stove and oven for almost all of my cooking.
Thank you, Tovala for filling an area in the meal kit market that was greatly needed especially for singles, senior and the Disabled. You've made life a little bit easier and TASTIER for me.

Great food! I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious and easy it was to do Tovala meals. I’m over shopping/ prepping/cooking meals once I’m done with work. Finding Tovala solved my meal dilemma. Everything tastes great and is easy to cook.

I ordered Tovala meals for a long time now and they are so delicious and easy to put together.
Sometimes I take a break thinking that I’m gonna cook and I end up ordering food which is way more expensive and the flavors it’s not as Tovala meals.

My oven consistently burnt dinners - I contacted the company and it was 3 weeks before they responded despite multiple attempts via chat and and internet. The responses seemed automated, not addressing my concern but telling me how to scan - which only worked about 50% of the time; the rest of the time, I had to use the app to get the meal to cook. I'd receive an em from Max, but no response to my actual issue, just a "canned" reply. After more than 6 weeks, told to run a Bake Test; no instructions how to do so and there is no Bake Test on the oven. Another rep says to just run the oven on Bake at 400 for 20 mins. He then says it's fine; next meal...burnt again. Another response from Max that after seeing I've run several tests, they will replace the oven. Then, em from Catherine that they are sending a new oven and return label for defective is attached...but of course it is not. We're now looking at 9 weeks of issues with the oven, 4 spoiled proteins (3 chicken that were disgusting and 1 salmon that STANK the day it arrived). This company looks fantastic but is really a horrific disaster with no customer service - every time you try to reach them, you get no response for WEEKS. We'll see how long it takes to get the return label for the defective oven and how long it takes for the replacement to arrive. I am NOT holding my breath!

The meals are delivered when stated and no seasoning is needed. Everything taste great.

Meals are great with a wide variety! Customer service it top notch!! Had a couple issues with wrong meals and was taken care of easily.

I like the precise shipping time.they always arrive on time and never late,arrive cold packaged and easy to understand recipe cards u scan code to start oven cooking.you only press start and temp and time is already calculated

The Tovala oven works wonderfully well and the meals are the best I’ve had in a meal service (and I’ve tried several of them)

Been using Tovala for a little over 6 weeks and the meals come with easy to follow instructions and convenient. The honey sesame glazed chicken breast and butternut squash enchiladas might be the best meals I've had so far. They've been adding in some really nice dessert options recently too. My favorites are the lemon pound cake, classic crumb cake and apple crumb pastry.

Meals are fresh and healthy. Portion size is perfect and they are easy to prepare and clean up after.

Just like the commercials! I've had about 20+ meals so far and all have been great. I look forward to getting my meals every week. I'm a Realtor and work long days sometimes so this is perfect when I get home and want to get a meal ready quickly.

We love everything about this meal system. It tastes great, easy to make and easy directions.

I live by myself and don't like to cook. My daughter told me about Tovala. I love it. I have a good, home-cooked meal every evening. Not only is the food outstanding, but the oven cooks everything perfectly with little input from me.

This is a great option for single people who struggle with cooking smaller amounts for themselves (so they aren't sick of leftovers!). I'd assume it would be good for couples as well, if ordering the same meal it can be cooked together. I've found I'm saving money since I'm not wasting leftovers or extra ingredients. Love the simplicity of putting item in pans, maybe adding a few ingredients like water or a packet they've included with various sauces for example. The oven scans the qr code and all you have to do is press start and walk away.
