I am appalled by my experience purchasing through Time Out, a company I had previously regarded as reputable and trustworthy.
I paid just under 100 pounds for items advertised through Time Out. The advertised discount was not applied, and I subsequently found myself dealing with a confusing voucher redemption process operated by Wowcher.
Almost six weeks later, I have received absolutely nothing.
Despite numerous emails, repeated requests for assistance and a formal request for a full refund, the matter remains unresolved. Attempts to contact the merchant have resulted in bounced emails, while Wowcher continues sending virtually identical automated messages asking whether the issue has been resolved, even though I have repeatedly explained that it has not.
Most disappointing of all is the complete lack of response from Time Out, despite being copied into my complaints. I trusted the Time Out name when making this purchase and expected considerably better customer protection and accountability.
This experience has seriously undermined my confidence in Time Out. A trusted brand should not leave customers navigating an apparently endless cycle of automated responses, unanswered complaints and undelivered goods.
I would strongly caution other customers to investigate how these voucher offers work, who is responsible for delivery and how refunds are handled before making a purchase.
An exceptionally disappointing experience from a company I once trusted.

Strongly disliked cc only policy.
Paying customer should decide cc vs cash.
I had small amount of cash change, merchant only took cc.Went elsewhere for 30 euro lunch and paid in bills , they happily took cash, my preferred method of payment.
Timeout losing business With THEIR policy,

Time Out once rightly venerated has slipped into error strewn slop. When I start to read articles I now 'learn' that 440 feet is about half a mile or that a town on the South Coast is actually in the North East. The copy more generally is like reading an editorial in promotional material and lacks any memorable inight.
I understand these are difficult times yet something of that once famed quality is perhaps still just within reach. But Time Out has to see high quality writing as something worth having.

Cookie wall is paid, I'm not sure if that is even legal. Anyway they can shove those cookies up their ass. I can't stand these methods.

This is without doubt the worst website I’ve had the misfortune of looking at.
Understand there is a need for a revenue stream but Christ on a bike I can’t even read the articles with all the adds and crap popping up.
Such a shame. Loved the magazine..hate their website.

They are running too many ads, especially in mobile site you can't read anything, or scroll down the page without getting bombarded with those stupid ads. I'm blocking this website

I purchased a voucher for Osteria del Mare and I had a booking for the last available Sunday but I was abroad the week before and my son caught Chicken Pox and I was unable to fly. The restaurant was inflexible about allowing me to use it on my return and told me to contact Time Out for a refund. Two emails later and no response and the phone number just cuts off.

Messes with your browser history, so that when you visit from google and then navigate back, rather than going back to google you are shown a "Read more" page.

I bought vouchers for all-you-can-eat dim sum at Leong's Legend in Chinatown - it was brilliant value and everything worked perfectly. On the voucher it said to book at least 72 hours in advance, but I managed to redeem it for a booking less than 48 hours in advance. I saw lots of negative reviews after I bought the voucher which had me nervous, but my experience was completely streamline and hassle-free. No problems at all, would recommend.

Bought a voucher for Science Museum exhibition which when I arrived I could not redeem. I tried several times, Science Museum person also tried but voucher was not redeemable. I had no choice but to pay again. Emailed TimeOut and got nowhere. Thieves!

I bought a voucher for 2 & 3 course lunch from time out. When I redeemed it , first Gordon Ramsay booking team never replied my email nor confirmed the booking.

Then I have to call the restaurant Breadstreet battersea ; they said you can’t use it on valentine day (Friday). But the T&C clearly stated you can use it any day on weekdays. The staff there is not interested and just said No. You will just lose the benefits of your vouchers if you use it on V day (which is a Friday). Appalling customer service! So disappointing!

I bought a voucher at Time Out for a cookery experience and every time I tried to use the voucher there was no workshop available or it was sold out. In addition, the website says that the experience voucher is valid for one year and when I finally found a workshop available, 6 months after the purchase, I couldn't use it because they said that the voucher at the time I bought it was valid for 6 months, something it doesn't say on the website.
What's more, if I'd known that all the workshops are always unavailable or full and that it's impossible to book a trial in 6 months, I would never have bought the voucher. They cheat the customer. I don't recommend it.

🟢 Update:
After my complaint, the company contacted me and we solved the situation in a way that benefited both of us. I appreciated their proactivity in approaching me.

TimeOut is happy to email spam with endless offers... I proceeded to purchase a dining for 2 offer for my wife's birthday. After reservation and confirmation made "Three Course Brunch & A Glass of Champagne For Two"... I received another email forcing me to purchase a second voucher as only 1 person was covered for the meal ???? ... Is it not illegal to advertise and sale inaccurate products and false promises ? some would even say it is a straight forward SCAM!

Did the Leong's Legend offer and it's incredible! Great Chinatown location and the food is not only delicious, there's loads of it. Definitely worth it if you can get it.

Cuando existía la edición impresa de pago, la revista era puro criterio independiente, contenido de calidad, reseñas... Ahora es todo promociones encubiertas, no hay el espíritu crítico de antes. Es una lástima: eso solo hará que la marca vaya perdiendo valor lentamente.

I have been trying to get a refund for the longest while on a voucher i could not use .I explained the situation over and over and NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME.i got locked out from my email address and unable to access it :i am unable to recover my email account hence my voucher .I AM REQUESTING A REFUND ASAP

Although the staff at this hotel was always apologizing because they were under construction, we were treated with every courtesy in the book. We were there for six days just relaxing and recuperating from recent medical trauma and all the staff we met were very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and it was nice all the way from front to back! Had lunch with a friend at The Shell, Holborn yesterday. Second time we have been and it did not disappoint. We both had lobster linguine which was absolutely delicious, had a bottle of house white with it a very good choice. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Will return soon!
