Bad warranty experience for failed optimisers.
Had Tigo optimisers on the roof installed by a local installer. 4 years in and some of the optimisers stopped working. The installer contacted Tigo and Tigo agreed to replace the optimisers, but the installer wanted to charge Tigo way above the going rate for installation and their negotiations halted. The installer then gave my details to Tigo for me to continue the conversation - except they didn't copy my phone number correctly and no one from Tigo ever got in touch with me. When we got in touch with Tigo they were prepared to find an installer who would charge a reasonable rate, but for some reason this didn't go ahead and the last conversation we had with Tigo was them telling us that it's not their responsibility to install the new optimisers and it's our job to find an installer. I do believe CAV will tell you it's Tigo's job to arrange for installation of their failed product. Instead we are now met with silence. This has taken months and we are obviously not making as much power as we should be and therefore doubly out of pocket. Tigo need to learn that when YOU manufacture a product that fails then YOU are responsible for the replacement of the failed components. Not the customer.
