We have been with Thrivent for 20 years. Our FR ( John Kochel) has always provided clear advice with all plus and minus included. The mission to invest wisely to live generously is highly promoted and a great example.
Our asset management has been outstanding but always being mindful of any risks. There is not a better company out there. David and Karen

If I could give them a zero review I would. Mother paid LTC Insurance premiums for 40 years. She is 95 and needs home health care, Thrivent is giving us the runaround and doing everything in their power to deny claims. I cant stress enough to stay away from the scam of a company!!!

They will lock your account as pleased without due process or explanation or bother to let you know. It's a joke of Union ... everything takes long ....app works once a month maybe... Fake instruction with one thing in mind to get you somehow.

Thrivent bank scammed me out of $700. I filed a dispute for unauthorized transactions for $700 and they were doing an investigation and by law through regulation E, by the 10th business day banks are required by law to provide you provisional credit. all of a sudden on the 10th business day they denied my claim for no reason and closed my account. they are legit thieves. DO NOT BANK WITH THRIVENT. they are the biggest scam of a online bank and legit scammers.

I sent in a POA for my aunt’s account. Thrivent sent a message that they received it and it would take 5 business days to approve it. After 10 business days, I called again. Thrivent neglected to send me a confirmation that it had been approved. Seriously? I have to call a company to ask. Please email your customer as soon as it is approved. This company has horrendous customer processes.

My husband of 45 years died 6 months ago, and I filed a claim on his life insurance policy that I knew nothing about. It has been MONTHS and they have still given me absolutely NO information. They have a different excuse every time I call ... the death certificate was illegible. They could not see the notary seal on the court papers. It is being reviewed to see if they may approve the claim. And still, to this day, I do not know what kind of policy it is or how much the benefit is. I am close to just giving up, which I am sure is what they want. I would rather they just said "We will not pay you" and let me move on.

Every mobile deposit was held for 22 days, a federal government payroll check held. Then told the checks are fraudulent

Taking my money management class with Maridol was truly eye opening. She helped me see where my money was going each month and to set up a plan to better manage and allocate my money. I am thankful to Maridol for the insight she gave me.

How you close someone’s account without calling and asking to see it everything was ok and then they going to call me and say we close the account due to no money in my account, which was my mistake to transfer money from my savings to the checking. I do not recommend this bank with no one.You can’t even make a small error without them doing foul stuff. When I submit the transfer I was like omh I forgot to transfer the funds and they calling me saying they closed the account. Instead of calling and saying is everything ok etc.

Honestly, if I could give it -5 I would. I recently had to dispute some unauthorized transactions on my checking and savings account. Somebody had got my debit card information when I had lost my wallet. They opened a p2p I can't say the platform. I informed the bank it wasn't mine, that my p2p account has been closed for over a year. I submitted a police report and identity theft. I always get multifactor authorization codes for pretty much every transaction but these ones I didn't a total over $226. They obviously didn't investigate it because they said they found no error. it wasnt authorized because whoever had opened that account couldn't not use my information because it's tied to my closed account, so there's no way it was KYC verified. told them I was gonna report it to the CFPB as soon as I did that they blocked my login credentials and closed my account out of retaliation for something I'm legally allowed to do. This is the worst bank ever do not put your money in there. They don't investigate claims correctly or maybe at all because it seems like they put little effort into mine. I'm far from done, karma will come back their way, save yourself, the headache, and losing money

if Thrivent is Christian backed company why has my medical insurance went up 75 dollars 316 a year ago and this year went up 100 to 498 no dental or vision I'm on a fixed income and have MS and have to have them because others wont insure me with my treatments which keep me from getting worse l think I'm going to have to end my life after next relapse because I cant pay more they were my last hope I used to like this company but they are blood suckers just like conventional company's

My complaint to Thrivent regarding their products, which they will steal from you on the backend, and the lack of care I received from Reid Mason.

After calling into your office because my representative Reid Mason would not return my phone calls regarding my life insurance policy that my family took out 40 years ago. He still to this day has not returned my phone calls or your company calls for him to call me.
I have tried to work with Reid, but at first his slow response was deal able, and then it became nonexistent. Not returning any phone calls or email.
Still no contact from him and no response from your office regarding if he had called back or not. I decided I would just close my account as my family/myself had been ripped off by AAL many years ago when you sold my family this product, and by the lack of response from Reid Mason, and Thrivent.
Terrible job respecting your customers and their moneys.

Refuse to accept VA Certifation of 100% permanent and total disability as proof of disability. Constantly lie about whats in the contract so i read the contract to them to prove they keep lying.

This was once (long ago) a "Christian based financial institution" - but after an internal shakeup - they are now just another all-but-secular financial institution. If you experience mediocrity with this "lip service" bunch, consider yourself lucky. We went from responsive representatives to a revolving door of faceless nameless drones who were no help at all. Considering how many reputable financial planning and investment businesses are out there, why anyone would settle for this dreck is a wonderment.

Stay away from this company. It is exhausting to get money back from them once your loved one has passed away.

Have been trying for over a month to withdraw some funds
that have been in acct for over 6 months,
agent and local manager have not been able to help - seems like my funds are not accessable

Kelly Jones Williams, Jeannie Caldwell, Taylor Flanagan, Collin Carlton, and Riley Zaylcek always provide excellent financial advice and excellent long term care insurance support. Kelly Jones Wiliams and Jeannie Caldwell's advice and support have saved my wife and I thousands of dollars on our long term care insurance.

Everyone one the team is always very thoughtful and very pleasant to work with.

I would especially like to recognize Kelly Jones Williams and Jeannie Caldwell for their work and support to help my wife and I understand how to best manage my wife's inheritance when her mother passed away.

I had an initial meeting with Jeff Hakala in his Aitkin, MN office yesterday. I am "late to the party" with my retirement planning and financial management, so was a bit apprehensive about explaining my situation. Within a few minutes he put me at ease and clearly outlined the road of financial planning. It was one of the best hours I ever spent in approaching my finances. I would heartily recommend Jeff and his team to anyone starting down this road.

I continue to get spammed by one of their partners, Robert Briones, in their Vista office. His emails do not allow the option to unsubscribe and multiple attempts to as to be removed from his distribution list have been ignored. I recommend no one use their service if this is how they treat prospective clients.
