They will steal your car and money total scammer!!
Rod White" real name is Rodah Amier Al-Baghdadh.
Update review following on from my previous post as things have gotten worse.
I had many parking fines in my car which was returned within the 30 days and all legal my side however they refused to refund me and gave me many excuses. I wasn't handing over the logbook till the money was in my account.
This never happened and they managed to get the logbook changed through the DVLA and what a surprise I'm yet to get my money back so not only do they have my car they also have my money.
They ignored all my emails for the car to be returned! So not only do they sell doggy car they will steal your money and your vehicle if you return it!!.
they have left me in a lot off stress and I'm still without a vehicle 9 months later..
Scammers
Scammers, plain and simple
I contacted Rod for a Nissan Qashqai. He told me the car is in high demand and that I should put down a deposit. Which I did.
On the day of collection he told me the car needs a service. After several attempts to contact him and weeks later the car was not ready.
He offered me an alternative car, to which I agreed to purchase. It was a Jaguar XE.
Same issue, Rod told me he was not able to procure the car. I asked for my deposit back to which he refused.
Told me that deposit is not refundable as he took the car off sale. I explained to him the car was not ready for sale anyways and he just messed me around for weeks.
Unfortunately after chasing multiple times, I had no choice but to give up. This happened last year but I am surprised that he is still trading and as it seems he is still scamming people.
Please someone get this guy arrested!
(RWZ MOTORS is the new name )
(RWZ MOTORS is the new name ) Bad service from start to finish , sold me a car only to find out it had an excessive oil leak , said I had 3 months warranty anything to do with gearbox or engine “ROD” would fix , after long replies or no replies it was very hard to get hold of him , finally took my car to them and left it with them to get fixed ,after about a week and a half of having the car they then called me saying they found the leak and out of good will he would pay half of the cost ,bearing In mind I should not be paying anything as “anything to do with the engine & gearbox they would fix for free of charge”!
I advised him I was not happy with this and I will seek legal advice and following told me if I am not happy with his offer come collect my car the next day and seek your legal advice !
Also followed by mentioning “you paid £3500 for the car what do you expect”!
Unprofessional and disgusting behaviour
Absolute scammers and cowboys DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! Sold me a faulty car, promising to cover the repairs — but of course, they never did.
These people constantly jump between companies yet still operate on Autotrader. It seems everyone connected to this group is dishonest!
They even took the car key, which turned out to be the wrong one, and never returned it.
Dean, Lijth, Stuart and others—avoid them at all costs!
I shall also be pursuing via the Small claims courts!!
Thorpe Lea Motors - Egham
Contrary to the bad reviews on here, I genuinely had an amazing experience with Thorpe Lea motors. Dean sourced me an Audi a3 in my price range within 24 hours and it was ready to collect within 48. I got a 6 month warranty with the car which could’ve been upgraded to a year or 2. I’ve owned the car for a year now and done 20,000 miles with no issues apart from a sensor that went recently (Also passed Audi inspection with flying colours.)
DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH THIS COMPANY

I was sold a car in March, on line, and rejected it within the 30 days required. This was due to it being dangerous to drive and having multiple issues, repairs for which totalled more than the car was worth. Ben is very good at assuring me they were very concerned and assuring me they would do everything they could to resolve. DO NOT TRUST THEM! This car was bought in good faith for my 17 Yr old to learn to drive. It is a death trap!
Average buying experience from Rod and…
Average buying experience from Rod and Ben at Thorpe Lea Motors.
During the buying phase service was ok, but when buying from a dealer selling £3-4K cars I was not expecting much, things like promising to collect me from the station and then being told they are too busy when I arrived, car not that clean on collection, a floor mat missing, broken ariel not fixed and a very cheap smart repair to the bumper carried out were not great. Car was ok value and I have the skills to sort most things and it cost me less than £100 to get it looking great, however in reality the car should not have been released with these small issues unresolved, as if unlike me you can rectify yourself it would cost considerably more.
What has annoyed me more though is the lack of communication and broken promises post sale, I was handed the last two services that were printed out when I got there, low ink on their printer meant they were of poor quality, I was promised I’d be emailed better copies but after 2 months and many emails and texts chasing nothing has arrived…….now I wonder if the car was ever serviced and Rod or Ben just made them up?
I’m sure the car was originally advertised with service history and all I got was the last two services (well sort of), however I continued with the purchase as after performing checks on CerVertical it looked a good buy, luckily for me the manual had evidence of where the car was originally purchased from back in 2013, and that Fiat main dealer have been excellent and provided me with copies of all history for about the first 10 years where they looked after it.
Having looked online it looks like Thorpe Lea Motors are no more, I’m not surprised but wanted to share my experience regardless.
poor service not trustworthy
I purchased a vehicle on the 11th of may, after seeing an add-on auto trader I arranged to have the car delivered after it had all its extensive checks and the vehicle valeted any issues rectified .... the garage that inspected it delivered it back to the garage I purchased from and could not deliver it to me as agreed due to short staff I called a cab and went to collect it myself the mechanic handed me the keys to test drive the vehicle and I asked him if there were any issues found with the mot he said all tests were completed With no advisories but the vehicle had not been serviced or mot as it was just a check i found it strange and questioned the sales person he said it had already been serviced and had a valid mot so no work was required i then noticed a service light was switched on he said this was due to a faulty sensor and that it would be repaired the following week when the part arrived i beleaved him and the following week handed the vehicle to him for repair when he returned the light was of he said all fixed no issues any problems just call us on driving home,e that evening as soon as i drove out of the carpark the light came back on so i called the garage they again said its due to a faulty sensor and would need to arrange a repair he booked me in eventually after complaining to a garage and provided details i called the garage to see what time to arrive they had no booking for the repair this happened twice i have called them text them wrote leters and been ignored fobbed of and lied to so I'm left with a faulty vehicle and a warenty that is worthless they are refusing to give us a refund under the consumers act 2015 which they are legally required to do as it's under 30 days. or make the adequate repairs required do not dop business with these people

DO NOT buy off this company, after being told the car was like new and kept to a very high standard by the previous owner I put a deposit on the car, after arranging a collection time I drove 4 hrs to fine the car hadn’t even been cleaned yet and definitely NOT like new,I was then asked to test drive the car which I did but road test had to be aborted due to a wheel about to fall off, along side many other issues which I haven’t enough time to go into,he then told me the deposit wasn’t refundable as he had spent money on the car for me,now waiting for a response now after giving them one last chance before I take court action which unfortunately is the I will probably have to take please for your own safety avoid this company

Fantastic experience.Placed a deposit for a car online and was really happy, the salesman gave me great price for delivery.Communication was great from start to end, we’ve had the car now for a year and it’s been so far so great.
Do not recommend!
Brought a car for my son to learn to drive in, after seeing bad press on socal media I arranged to have this car inspected independently.... the garage that inspected it said it shouldn't have passed an MOT, when funny enough it was given a brand new MOT With no advisories only a few weeks before. This car has driven 12 miles since it's MOT and only Miles of it by us to get it to the independent garage. TLM Is now refusing to give us a refund under the consumers act 2015 which they are legally required to do as it's under 30 days.
Warning
Warning: Stay Away from Thorpe Lea Motors - Deceptive Practices and Poor Customer Service
Review:
It is with great disappointment that I must caution potential customers against engaging with Thorpe Lea Motors. My recent experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story to prevent others from encountering similar issues.
My interaction with Thorpe Lea Motors began when I purchased a vehicle from them. Despite assurances of a comprehensive inspection and servicing, the car I received was riddled with undisclosed problems. From persistent warning lights to significant mechanical defects, it quickly became apparent that the vehicle was in a much worse condition than indicated by the dealership.
Efforts to address these issues with Thorpe Lea Motors were met with sheer indifference and a lack of responsiveness. Messages, calls, and emails went unanswered, and promises to rectify the situation were never fulfilled. It became evident that Thorpe Lea Motors prioritized sales over customer satisfaction and showed little regard for their obligations under consumer protection laws.
Moreover, the lack of transparency regarding the vehicle's history and condition raises serious doubts about Thorpe Lea Motors' integrity. Their deceptive practices leave unsuspecting buyers vulnerable to purchasing misrepresented and defective vehicles, resulting in undue financial and emotional strain.
Given my harrowing experience, I strongly advise prospective customers to steer clear of Thorpe Lea Motors. Their disregard for consumer rights and abysmal customer service are unacceptable, and I implore anyone considering a transaction with them to seek out a reputable and trustworthy dealership instead.
In light of my ordeal, I am taking steps to address the issues I encountered with Thorpe Lea Motors, and I hope that by sharing my experience, others can avoid the frustration and disillusionment that I have endured.
Exercise caution and think twice before engaging with Thorpe Lea Motors.
Scammers AVOID purchasing from them
Scammers! Avoid at all costs! After the sale they avoid you& try to push past the returns date. Their T&C in their 3months warranty is illegal too.
This business needs to be uncovered via Watchdog or Rip Off Britian, because that's all they are doing.
Cars in bad condition and no support after sales so they can fraudulently profit from you.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
