We had an extremely positive experience at the SPC - almost to the point I could say I enjoyed the IVF process!

Surrey Park was not our first IVF experience, however it was certainly the most relaxing (as far as ivf can be!). They went to extra lengths to support me and reduce the stress of it all, and I felt like an individual rather than another name on the list. From the sonographers, to nurses, to reception and consultant, all staff were very friendly, helpful, and understanding. The interpersonal in ivf makes the world of difference and they do this well.

The clinic has a calm and relaxed atmosphere, which we also valued immensely. Appointments ran to time, so there was very little waiting about, which made a huge difference (and when I was running 10 minutes late on one occasion they were friendly and understanding).

We were linked with Kings for procedures and that was again a very positive experience.

Irrespective of the final outcome - which we don’t know yet, we would definitely recommend.

Terrible place. You are a paying customer and not a patient. Even if you pay tests they withhold your results unless you see a specialist for follow up or you pay extra as a walk in patient. When I spoke to the consultant and said I was few days late he scared me to death saying I had to do additional investigations as I might be menopausal (I am less than 40 yo and I was only late 4 days!!) and when I mentioned I was there just for miscarriage investigation and not ivf or any other tests which I was clear from day one he said not to bother booking any more investigation with them and left me stranded after spending already £700 with half the tests done.
The way the clinic managed it after that was appalling. The doctor also tried to send a letter saying what he thinks he told me during this phone chat which was completely inaccurate (like I was the crazy one being freaked out for nothing).
I am still awaiting refund of the tests I paid and not have done given I have asked to close my account (which has not happened yet).

Louise and Emily were so helpful and very prompt at replying to my emails. Dr Ugwumadu was so understanding and professional. Felt very positive that we will resolve the problem of my recurrent miscarriages. Thoroughly recommend.

First visit to Surrey park clinic, such a warm and welcoming place… very friendly and helpful staff, dr Alex was very approachable and was really easy to talk to. Had a pelvic scan as well, lady was lovely (Kay) I think. Receptionist was very helpful, especially as I got lost and after phoning the clinic she helped me to arrive there safely….. would highly recommend this clinic.. thank you to all

My partner and I saw Yvette for a gender scan. She was exceptional: she took her time to explain what we were seeing, put me in different positions to get a better view of baby and the service provided was brilliant. Previously, I had attended a different clinic for a 4D scan, hoping to see baby's face. They told me it was impossible because of the position of the baby and I left feeling sorely disappointed, with a photograph of a grey blob I was told was a foot. This experience was drastically different. Baby still hadn't moved, but I have so many photos of baby's face (profile) and other really clear images. I am so glad I tried again. I left feeling elated.

Great experience today speaking with Alex. Very informative and she listened with empathy and understanding. I definitely recommend.

Booked a growth scan with surrey park clinic. From booking to appointment with sonographer everything was smooth. Nice environment with lovely staff.

We had an appointment for both my wife and I for a PCR test at 1:00pm. We were on time and presented ourselves at reception with proper ID and we’re told to wait in the car and a nurse would come to test us. One hour later, still waiting, I went back to their reception and asked whether we had been forgotten. They apologised profusely and sent me back to the car. Approx half an hour later a nurse appeared and told us that they had other patients that were more important and thus we had to wait. Eventually she gave us the tests to do them ourselves and told us that we would wait for 36hrs for the results. We eventually left close to 3:00pm. Not acceptable that these clinics can do what they want and how they want it while charging exorbitant prices of £95 each person for simple tests - just not acceptable!!!

Unnecessary additional stress

My recent experience with my Fit To Fly PCR test created more stress and cost than was expected or necessary. Despite being reassured at the time of taking the test, the report was not valid for my international travel. I had to do an emergency rapid PCR test at an additional cost. After waiting over eight days to receive a response to my query I feel that my request was not suitably dealt with.

All help leading up the appointment was great. We had all the information we needed and got an appointment very quickly.

Our consultation was so comforting. The Dr. Spoke to us about our position and options more openly, honestly and scientifically then anyone has yet (or any article online). We’re really excited to continue this journey with the clinic.

Following the 2nd response to my review (dated 9/11/21) I received an email from Surrey Park Clinic’s Marketing Manager.
The reason that the issues detailed in my review were not put forward elsewhere or earlier is simply because the stress caused from them cannot be undone. The idea that I could have raised the concerns before the end of treatment shows a lack of empathy and experience of the customer side of their own business. In more than a couple of requests for the same payments (that had already been made), SPC caused significant stress and a sense of being held to ransom.
Maybe I should have reported my concerns to the Fertility co-ordinator who couldn’t even get my name right, despite having corrected her a number of times. The nurses and technicians all got my name right. The same fertility co-ordinator who got my name wrong when calling after I left the review on 5th November, 2021.
I am interested to know how the 2 SPC responders’ to my review might think that if I had reported these issues during my treatment it could have been rectified?
I don’t want or need any further stress from my experience with Surrey Park Clinic. The review details the issues, no responding to points from Surrey Park Clinic can improve what has already occurred. I really hope that every other person has better experiences than myself and my partner during such ‘delicate times’ but at least the information is there in my review to be considered.

We had a covid test by Helen this morning. She made an uncomfortable experience really bearable, many thanks to her and the ladies on reception.

Very friendly and professional staff.
Everyone is sensitive and kind.

My experience of this clinic has been nothing but positive. I was given balanced and clear advice on the factors to consider when thinking about going onto HRT. Dr Standring is extremely knowledgeable but also very empathetic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the clinic and Dr Standring to anyone who is thinking about starting HRT.

So disappointing

The secret extra cost that were continually added to my bill. When I made a complaint no one has gotten back to me in 5 months and still I am awaiting a refund . They said I needed a call with the doctor who was 15/20 minutes late to zoom and only arrived after I chased the reception. They then changed me additional for this when I was told everything had been paid for. So sad that they do this to woman who just want help or reassurance and instead we are just a cash cow for them.

Efficient, friendly , nothing to fault

I just wanted to let you know some feedback from my appointment with Dr Kalu. I was incredibly nervous for the appointment and had already geared myself up to feel frustrated and disappointed. I left my appointment feeling completely emotional but in a good way, as I finally felt like someone was listening to me. Dr Kalu was amazing , not only did he listen to me but put me at ease by explaining what might be going on with my body but also letting me know what options are open to me. I drove home with a smile on my face, I know I still have a long journey ahead of me but I feel confident I’m going to be looked after. It’s important for a patient to feel they can trust their doctor and I certain feel that way with Dr Kalu, especially as it’s such a personal journey, which quite often makes you feel alone in it, Dr Kalu told me exactly what I can expect and I now know I have a plan of action and a realistic one too. The nurse who completed my checks before my appointment (I want to say her name is Morgan but I’m not sure) had so much empathy and consideration for my situation, she also made me feel at ease. I want to thank you all and Dr Kalu in helping me so far on this journey.
