I was very hopeful when I made the long journey from Cork to Dublin for headlice treatment, an issue I’ve been dealing with for the past 4.5 months.

Unfortunately, my experience was not successful. I had been assured I would leave completely free of headlice that day. However, that evening I combed through my hair and found eggs — possibly dead, but still present. I would have thought they would have sectioned out the hair whilst combing. The whole visit was under 30 minutes.

Three days later, live nits were found again.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Natasha was so friendly, and down to earth, and put us all at ease. She had 4 heads to treat , and did so with amazing proficiency and had an extremely reassuring presence. Highly recommend.

My family & I couldn’t be happier with The Nit Cracker. Natasha ‘delivers’ 100% and prevented me from going insane with the infestation that I could not solve myself …(my children got nits from school then passed them onto me!!).
I give The Nitcracker 100% for customer service, professionalism, kindness, care and calm reassurance that the problem would be sorted and IT WAS 🙏🏻.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Natasha, the owner, welcomed us on extremely short notice and made sure our whole family felt right at home. My daughter had such a fun time with Natasha and her team – they were not only incredibly kind and gentle but made the whole process enjoyable. She loved spending time with the two wonderful ladies helping us and even asked when she could go back. They were super-efficient, did thorough checks on all of us, and scheduled a follow-up to ensure everything was fully taken care of. We’re so grateful for their warmth and expertise – highly recommend.

I walked out of the Nit Cracker feeling as though I had been mugged. Avoid at all costs. This 'salon' was a darkish room with very little light with a woman doing a worse job to what we had done at home. Whilst it is understandable for tiny eggs to be missed by a professional, we found numerous adult lice after just a few days, which had clearly all been missed. It was such a shoddy job and I still can't belive they charged me 90e for an absolute scam. The product was called Fairy Tale on the website - which after this experience made me realise they were telling fairy tales and laughing all the way to be bank with it. No stars from me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! No matter how desperate you are or time poor, you are better off doing it yourself.
Zero rating as opposed to 1 star. Despicable treatment of a young girl.

I do want anyone to experience the excessive hair pulling that my daughter was subjected to. One employee was dog rough & forceful with my child despite my interjections. There were eggs still present in my daughter’s hair when we got home.
The staff were unapologetic and my email to the owner has gone unanswered. This business needs a complete overhaul or to be shut down. There is nothing clinical about the salon. It looks nothing like the photos online, no playroom or screens. The products are not as shown. It is completely misleading.

No magnifying headbands were used as I see since are used in other establishments. I retreated the hair twice afterwards myself and it was a much easier process. My child’s scalp was very tender for the week afterwards. She was crying brushing her hair. No human should be treated in this way. I am still horrified and upset. No customer service.

Could not recommend this place any higher. Went online to find help because I tried myself to get rid of lice in my 3 daughters hair and was just going around in circles because they kept coming back and was loosing my mind. Got in touch with the owner natasha and she had the girls in the next day and the staff were so nice to my kids and made them feel so comfortable and at Ease. Prices were very reasonable and I would highly recommend to anyone who is struggling like me...5 star from me

I am writing this review so people can make an informed decision as to whether they want to use this service. The product they use is 15 euro in the pharmacy, not the one mentioned on their website, nothing happened in our appts that I hadnt already done at home myself, and despite several visits and 100's euro later, the costs of which were very poorly communicated, we continue to have head lice in the house. I do not recommend
