★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed — Poor Hygiene and Maintenance
I recently joined the gym/spa at the Nottingham Belfry and feel completely let down. The facility is incredibly overpriced considering the shockingly poor hygiene standards.
Locker Room:
• Female changing room lockers are frequently out of order. The result? No secure place to store belongings—or unreliable lockers that don’t close.
Shower & Spa Area:
• The shower by the steam room and sauna was absolutely disgusting: full of insects nest. I found pubic and hair tangled all over the shower doors and walls, and dead skin covering the floor. Clearly, this area is not cleaned regularly.
Overall Cleanliness & Maintenance:
• There’s no consistent upkeep or cleaning schedule visible; the place feels neglected. It’s especially troubling for a paid facility.
●Pool is to small can only fit four people doing length as people don't understand the concept or swimming in a circle and need direction which would free up more space. Or set lanes that would prove how small this is.
Considering the membership cost, this level of neglect is unacceptable. I’m now left with either no usable locker or access to filthy, poorly maintained facilities. If cleanliness and hygiene matter to you, I strongly recommend you steer clear of this place until they overhaul their maintenance practices. Ant around seating area indoor by the pool and rubbish floors barley cleaned of water .
Gym is far too small accounting for hotel guest and gym member that pay for membership neither the pool or gym are big enough for more thag 6 people.
