An excellent gallery space, full with creative energy and the spirit of Art. Definitely a gallery worthy working and showcasing your Art with. A unique space right in the middle of one of the most interesting location London has to offer.

The Holy Art Gallery is a hidden treasure! This enchanting gallery not only displays breathtaking artwork but also fosters a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, I totally recommend 😀

I normally don't write reviews but this one deserves as others should be made aware of the scam.

Visited the Holy Art Fair at the Truman Brewery in October 2023 with my Daughter (friend of a young artist exhibiting) and wife.
While approaching the gallery, my daughter messaged her friend who said that she is stuck at her stall since morning and haven't even got a chance to drink/eat. We picked a bottle of water and a pack of nuts from a corner shop before reaching the venue.
The security guy asked us to check with reception, where a lady seemingly the organiser very rudely mistreated us for just taking that little snack for the artist. Even when told that the artist could not leave her place since morning even to go to toilet or bite.....the response was she has to buy from a in house cafe. Deeply pained already by the plight of the poor artist girl I literally broke down and leaving the bottle of water & pack of nuts at reception.....could not stop telling her that "Such practice is a scam....isn't it? “.
This seemed to trigger her ego further and she forced all of us to stay back. We were denied entry to the venue even while we had tickets. It's a pity that I was concerned about my dauther & wife travelling so long and had to bear the bullying.....to an extent that we were made to wait for nearly 30 minutes, the artist girl was made to apologise for no involvement of her. Even after all this her bossy partner (who she left with some instructions) only allowed my daughter & wife to go in.
Couldn't expect a more disgraceful and embarrassing experience and had it not been for my daughter & the poor artist girl....I'd have called police to gain entry as there was no mention of Rights of admission reserved.
The organisers seemed to from some eastern European country and nearly behaved as a mafia bosses. Grave mistake of going to such fair and shame on such organisers who suck on cost of young artists.

On the occasions I’ve visited they’ve always managed to draw a large crowd of interesting art-loving folks, and their shows maintain a varied mix of artists across an equally diverse range of mediums.

Gallery "The Holy Art" has chosen my painting to participate in the new exhibition "ART ON LOOP - Digital Exhibition Show" in Milan! They gave me the opportunity to show my creativity in a new form for me: Digital Art and it’s great!

I have attended quite a few events at The Holy Art Gallery as I live in the area and they were always great fun! Wide selection of art that you can buy in instalments which is a great option for budget conscious buyers (in this climate i think we all are). The whole place seems really focused on the well being of the artists, giving opportunities to new names :)

Earlier in October they also hosted an Art Fair which was a really impressive undertaking! Intrigued, I visited and could not have had a better experience! The artists were lovely, I spent hours inside chatting to them!!! The atmosphere was buzzing, with drink from the bar in hand I immersed myself in the lovely experience. Huge well done to the artists and the organisers!

Had such a wonderful time at the Holy Art Fair! Staff were very helpful and got some great prints from talented artists:) I will definitely be at the next one ✨

Amazing gallery. Although it is a small space, there is so much too see and such a variety of artwork. A great space to get to know upcoming artists and interact! Had a great time

Great visit to their London gallery - private view was a busy and bustling affair, staff were great with communication and very friendly, 10/10 would recommend!!

The Holy Art Fair at the Truman Brewery in October 2023 was held in a spacious well configured venue, well placed for public transport between two stations in easy walking distance and with a good street footfall.

Good
Transport for pictures was available if you needed it and help with hanging them.
It was interesting to see what else was going on and to meet the artists.
It was held back to back with The Other Art Fair (TOAF) which is established and attracts a knowledgeable public. This kept the profile of the show high.
It was cheaper, metre for metre of hanging space than TOAF.

Not so good.
"Background" music was provided which was monotonous and too loud.
The art was of varying quality, much of it indifferent. Pornography was a major theme.
The "Art on a Loop" feature was shown on screens that were too small and displayed in a backwater off the main circulation.
The organisers either had not reached out to galleries and critics or else this show did not attract them.
The organisers seem not to have invited any of their contacts to the Private View but relied on the exhibitors to bring theirs in.
To fill the space and make a buzz the people in the street who had come to other events, (to eat, shop listen to street music) were enticed in by handbill stressed on them, but they were not the sort of people who were likely to have the money to buy art, too young, too impecunious.

Not well marketed, let any old "artist" in with no quality control. Care more about upselling artists add ons than helping them to sell art. Feels like a scam. And they copy The Other Art Fairs marketing graphics! Crazy

They tried to have this review taken down as it's a "false claim", but Trustpilot were sent evidence by me and it was put back online.

This attempt at silencing this complaint reflects the blame they deflected in their show I exhibited in. They were angry, rude and did not accept their incompetencies.

A fun opportunity for artists to showcase work overseas in a digital format through their "ART ON LOOP" events. Communication was great and there is an emphasis on sharing + tagging The Holy Art plenty-- but this could be reciprocated by the hosts, at least taking shots of each artist's work displayed in the exhibition for no additional fee. I understand the additional cost for featuring an artist through social media highlights, newsletters, and extra promotion but the initial participation fee is already rather steep for this type of digital show (which many artists cannot attend themselves on the opening night) so it would have been supportive of the group to share a few shots of each artist's work on display at the gallery.

Otherwise, the processes of work submission, acceptance, payment, and email correspondence was efficient. A good experience for artists early on in their careers.

Really pleasure to work with this gallery, friendly and helpful staff. Look forward to being there again soon.

Overall a very lovely experience working with The Holy Art gallery. Great communication and very helpful.

THE GALLERY THAT CLEARLY STATES THEY DO NOT REPRESENT ARTISTS!

Ah the Holy Art Gallery - I took part in their Rising Stars 2 exhibition Sept 2023 and this is my experience, quoting emails they sent to me.

Likelihood of selling - ask for evidence folks
They don't take any individual photographs so be aware of that. The only PR is paid and it's £350.
Sadly without any photographs of my work in situation, I was unable to promote properly to my followers, collectors and potential buyers. Therefore limiting my chance of selling to footfall while open.
Four days into the exhibition, the kind assistants, assisted me in arranging collection therefore underlying the 'expectation' that there was very little chance of selling. ' so I don't know what their sales are but if they don't represent artists then why would they bother selling your work?
After all this gallery is very clear that they don't represent artists

Documentation- don't expect to see your work anywhere aside from in that room.
For your £100 Gallery states you get group documentation of the show. Be aware that lots of work is NOT shown in this documentation in fact the gallery itself said that they 'cannot guarantee all artists will be featured.' Certainly my work wasn't shown in this documentation.
Mostly it's a video of people at the show. The video and the Instagram stories both represent the gallery in promotion of the gallery and not in promotion of the art. The Gallery have made this very clear by stating 'they are not a PR company , and reply in their communication in bold

The £100 you paid entails:

- Wall or screen space, arrangement & curation

- Private Viewing & Bar

- Group Documentation of the show (photography, video)

- 10% commission from originals sales

- Video Instagram Poster

- Instagram Stories of the events"

They reiterate they are not a marketing or PR agency and therefore will not do free promotion'.
Sadly I found that the promotion was limited to my name among 40ish on one post on Instagram.'

Well, who does the gallery represent?
Not artists!! They have made that very clear by telling me several times so I'm telling you several times.
'This is not a traditional gallery' they state that themselves. They say 'We prioritize transparency and want to clarify that we do not represent artists. This is quite clear to everyone.'
I asked them who they represent and this was their answer,
'Our practice revolves around curating and organizing group shows, collaborating with various artists. It is not a prerequisite for any gallery, anywhere in the world, to exclusively represent artists.'
Uuuummmm make of that what you will.

They did not discuss pricing my art and I tried.
There are no individual photographs of your work.
There is no free promotion of you as an artist.
There is an additional fee of £350 for promotion.
There is no discussion about curation or placing of the art.
They arrange for art to be returned mid exhibition suggesting you are unlikely to sell.
I was unable to talk to anyone in person even though I called over 12 times during business hours.
There is a daily fee of £5 storage after one week for any art that is left.
There is no evidence of pre or post exhibition engagement with buyers.

So my piece was in the gallery for 1 week and there was 1 Instagram post.' as evidenced during my participation in Rising Stars 2.

They are advising that everybody needs to read the terms and conditions before going forward.
And heed that advice all of you, especially the artists!!!!

Also if you post a negative review you get the added bonus of several lengthy emails threatening potential legal action. (You're perfectly within your rights to post a factual negative review that you can evidence) I felt quite harassed by them.

I was more than happy with the lovely assistants that they have answering emails ,they are very polite and prompt and helpful.
They also wrapped up my work beautifully on return, so okay, two positives

I participated at digital art show in Paros. Unfortunately I couldn't be present.

I received a new email a few days before the exhibition, in which they informed me that if I want a photo or video, they can send it to me for an additional fee. unfortunately I was not happy with my participation. My work was displayed in a small screen, that changes every few seconds. It was not worth the money to participate.

They want from us to support the event through our social media , but they are not send us any picture of our works, so we can post it.

It's bad decision to participate at their exhibitions, unless you are already famous artist. In that case probably you will not pay for your participation. Because the exhibition cost burdens unknown artists like me, who thinks that this is an opportunity to collaborate with big names.

There is so much going on it is almost over whelming.
