Been to Stafford Gym Group for about 18 months. However took the opportunity to get some expert advice from a trainer there, Gareth Davies. I learnt so much about the kit and the sound and safe methods of use. I was a little wary of some of the kit before, so been stuck in a rut using same kit in a haphazard, none productive way....thought I knew best...used what seemed safe to me!

Gareth has transformed my training routine.

My advice in return for anyone new or experienced, is not to delay in taking the opportunity to be steered in the right direction. Gareth was brilliant and a sound trainer. Gave me the confidence, and guidance I needed. Thanks Gareth!

The gym is really clean and staff are very friendly. Jord is a top PT!!

Good range of equipment, however, membership has been cancelled and moved gym's, due to it always full of clearly under 16s, who have lied about their age.

Proof of age should be required when signing up. As an adult I want to use a gym which doesn't feel like being at school.

The state of the art equipment and the fantastic PT especially Daryl, who helps me to stay motivated. He is soooo encouraging. I am so confident I will be able yk reach. My goal with his support abd encouragement

My son has this membership and has been trying to cancel however they are making it difficult to do so - keep saying they will email in 3/5 days and then don’t email. Seems like a scam.

It's the worst gym company ever. My husband pays £31 per month for an ultimate membership. This is supposed to give 4 free monthly passes to allow friends access to the gym. This is a total scam as the Fym Company do not allow access despite downloading the necessary app. You arrive at the gym and there is no one there to help you.
My husband is now cancelling his membership.

Good equipment for the most part (some rattley treadmills) and nice to have a bunch bag available unlike most gyms.

My largest complaint is its always too warm, almost as though they don't want the cost of aircon. I'm all for getting a sweat on during a workout but not overheating.

I visited to see what the gym offered.

I was welcomed to look around and found -
- A large floorspace, well lit and with pale walls, floor and ceiling.
- A wall of windows gives natural daylight.
- Music was not insistent and intrusive.
- Excellent toilets and showers.
- srupulously clen everywhere.
- Good, free, well lit, parking in front of the gym with cameras.
-Secure access to the gym using Smart-phone app.
The environment to me was very pleasant and felt safe.

There is loads of good quality kit for aerobic and cardio exercise - cross trainers, rowing machines, bikes, stair climbers, treadmills. I am pleased that none of these have TV screens.

There are more types of resistance equipment than I have seen in other gyms, all virtually new with more than one of each type all designed for specific muscles with plenty of circulation space around the kit.

I joined on my first visit, thankfully no pushy sales just friendly help to answer any questions.

The gym provides loads of things that don’t have an attraction to me such as weights, a range of classes etc.

I am over 70 and the average user when I am there is people in their teens and twenties but I don’t feel out of place.

I only visit in the daytime and find it calm and relaxing - I don’t know whether this changes in early morning, at night and weekends.

The gym has a really good weight selection and lots of power racks that you’d normally be stood around waiting for. Only thing I’ve found is on the half racks there is a plate holder for 5kgs and when benching if there’s any plates in that location you can’t rack back up. I find the over all layout really good, lots of room so you never feel like you’re in anyone’s way. The matted area is a good size, I’ve found myself warming up and cooling down more because of this :) great selection of cardio machines and love the upgraded assault bikes. Loads of lockers and showers and changing rooms are always clean. Not really had any conversations with any staff because I put head phones in but all seem nice. Morning cleaning staff really polite and always say good morning :) gym location is perfect for me as never really been any gyms the J13 side of Stafford. The couple times I’ve gone at busy times it’s been hard to find parking but think this was mainly due to work on car park, now seems to be fine. Member from opening date and can’t see myself changing - 5* gym

Such a great first day at The Gym in Stafford!!
We felt so welcome from the get go, all the staff were super friendly and on hand to help.
Cannot wait to go back!
