John made my friend and myself very welcome on the day we went into the gym to enquire about joining ,told us about all the membership options and about the app, we have now joined ,had induction. I had to have a health assessment which was done by Oliver he was very helpfull ,polite
Our 1st visit was today John and Oliver
Were both very supportive and helpfull
As it is the 1st time we have both stepped foot into a gym.

Budget gym and a budget experience
I have gone to this gym for a few months and honestly it's not great. This is from a weight lifting perspective as I don't do cardio at the gym.
Imagine this gym as a school/college gym that lets non students use it.
Groups of teenagers following one another around the gym, or sitting there looking at their phones for eternity whilst taking up the limited weight machines.
All very polite but not particularly productive in a gym environment with limited facilities.
This gym is always busy. Much busier than other gym group gyms. The gym doesn't have a great selection of weights and machines to begin with, even compared to other gym group gyms. Combine this with it always being busy doesn't allow for a decent workout. You end up walking around the gym figuring out what weights are available rather than follow any sort of plan.
The gym smells on walking in. There is no paper towels nor antibacterial spray, as is the same as all gym group gyms.
Almost no one uses towels on the machines. The gym is grubby. The air conditioning isn't great. Overall it isn't a particularly hygienic place.
Barely anyone puts the weights back after using something which is plate loaded. Weight plates all over the place and jumbled in weight. Before you can use a machine you have to remove weights left by the previous person and try and figure out where the ones you need are etc.
Only three cable machines and usually a queue to use them.
On a positive note the staff are friendly and try their best to fix the above including cleaning the machines. The membership is fairly cheap. Whilst it is busy everyone is nice enough.
Ultimately it could be a decent gym if it had either less people and/or more weight machines and a refurb. I can't see that happening so I can't recommend this gym.
Disgusting
Never seen such a disgusting gym in my life. Equipments are not clean properly in regular period of interval. £35 is too much for a gym and every month they're charging joining fee. Toilet & shower room stinks and aren't cleaned well regularly. Gym Manager is very rude and never been a polite to the gym members. I am really surprised that how these people doesn't give a good customer experience by being a gym manager. After two months of membership I'm totally fed up with their service. If we request them for any assistance they don't respond properly and politely. Gym equipments are with very bad sweat smell. I'd never ever suggest gym group to anyone. I'm not sure about the other gym group but Especially Sutton Gym group is very very worst.
The manager is rude and unhelpful
The manager is rude and unhelpful. I lost my bicycle key inside the GYM. I did ask him if anyone has hand it back , but he wasn't interested to listen or give me eye contact. Please advice him to be human.Thaks

The manager of this gym is so rude. I have finally cancelled membership and moved on to another gym.
The shared pin accusation
Two days ago, I couldn’t access the gym, and what followed was a disappointing and frustrating experience. After contacting the hotline, I was advised to speak to the gym manager. During our conversation, the manager suggested that I might have shared my pin with someone else. He also mentioned that I was only able to enter previously because of my Yanga subscription, and once it was canceled, I was immediately banned from entry.
I want to make it clear that I have never shared my pin with anyone. Despite this, the manager insisted that it was highly unlikely for someone else to obtain my pin without my involvement, which I found upsetting and dismissive of my concerns.
The Sutton gym I visit has a num pad that frequently malfunctions. Whether it’s the outer gate or the inner entrance, I often have to re-enter my pin multiple times, carefully and slowly, to gain access. This ongoing issue raises the possibility that my pin could have been stolen due to these repeated malfunctions. Additionally, I am curious about the reliability of the face recognition system and would appreciate reassurance that it is both accurate and secure.
When I requested to review the footage to better understand what had happened, I was informed that this wasn’t possible due to GDPR regulations. While I respect the importance of privacy laws, it was frustrating not to have access to this information, which could have provided clarity. To resolve the issue, the manager suggested I could cancel my membership and rejoin to obtain a new pin. However, I believe the core issue lies with the gym’s responsibility to ensure the security of its systems, rather than shifting the burden onto its members.
This experience has left me both disappointed and concerned. I hope the gym will take a more proactive approach to addressing these security concerns and work on improving the reliability of its systems and the overall customer experience.

I’ve done reviews before and I am happy to mention the gym in Sutton Surrey again, I always love attending the gym in Sutton as the equipment,
the atmosphere and the staff are excellent, I have never had any problems at all and have never seen anyone with any problems at all.
The management team are excellent,
John the manager is so professional and his assistant Sean is the same, they are friendly and always offer support to anyone, A female member of staff called Denise is always very polite and friendly, in fact all the other members of staff are very good, you have got a brilliant team there,

PIN de activation with no reasoning
I signed up for my membership and they de activated my PIN with no reasoning. They then took money after I cancelled it. Don’t join the gym group they don’t reply to emails or phone calls. 0stars

Wi Fi needs improving possibly.
However, these are small issues in what is predominantly an excellent experience. Always very clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. Would highly recommend.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM
They are literally stealing money from my account.
I have give them a month of notice and yet aftet too months they still trying to get money from me.
Constant emails and harassment from members.
Is a bit too much...
I don't know why they call themselves "the best gym in Sutton"
Maybe the best worse?
They don't have the option of freeze and account so even if you go in holidays for 2 month you have to still paying.
They don't give enough time for cancelations of classes so you end up with a £4 fine even if you didn't go.
They require a whole month of notice for cancel the membership and even if you di they will still try to get your money and have the straight face to contact you.
DO NOT join this gym.

They are steeling money from my account

9.0 pm 110 people in the gym
9.0 pm 110 people in the gym. I wish they would make gym more expensive so you would have decent exercise. Even though I live two minutes away from the gym, I am looking to go somewhere else. Away from marathon village.

Overall it is good
Overall it is good. It lacks on more of some machines that are very popular, so there is always people is some of them. Or you wait or you give up.

I've been going to the gym in Sutton for two years now. All staff is lovely, they're always around and willing to help you. Wonderful classes taught by skilled and professional personal trainers, especially Denyse and Fuad. They're always very friendly and with a positive attitude! Absolutely love it here! I'll definitely recommend it 😉
