Great gym, great members

A beautiful experience.
The Gym Group has all the equipment to maintain a perfect body. I recommend all men and even women to come here because it is a very clean, neat, airy room and always available to anyone.

Do not register with this gym unless you walk there!

I was a member of Gym Group Bury St Edmunds then due to change of work location, started using the Ipswich gym on Cardinal Park instead. On another gym opening and me switching to that gym, I was inundated with parking fines from EuroPark carparks for dates months back.

At the Gym you are required to enter your registration on entering, this was a religious part of my routine yet 3 of the 5 or 6 fines were all within the same week.

On receiving these fines months after the date of the false parking offences, I reached out to the gym for evidence of attendance which I could no longer get through the app after cancelling membership.

I am now having to go to court to defend my claim for over £1000 which was due to a clear fault in the equipment of the parking company and/or gym group and the gym group have ignored all my requests for attendance and CCTV evidence since.

The gym is average, the staff in the gym are excellent but the parking experience and the court attendance and potential fines should be enough to know to go somewhere else as this isn't the kind of stress that's needed because the gym cant be bothered to respond to the requests sent

I had PT with Jamil for a number of months. He is absolutely fantastic. So knowledgable (both in terms of personal training and nutrition). He is also a really nice guy and so easy to get on with which makes the whole experience wonderful. I cannot overstate how much he has taught me. I would highly recommend him.

Clases in Ipswich are scrap , no box sak, showers only hot water can't regulat my self . End of the month i leave and go to an bether gym .

Advertised as an air conditioned gym but unless you like training in Ibiza heat, you may not enjoy it.

Numerous members have mentioned the lack of air con but it seems that’s in an attempt to cut costs it’s set at such a high temperature that you’re lucky if it comes on during a heat wave.

So two years ago I started at this gym same time as my partner and the other day got an email saying membership will increase by £4, changing from £16.99 to £20.99 and my partner got the same email saying from April his membership Will increase by £2, changing from £16.99 to £18.99 a month! How is that possible we both started at the same time and have completely different monthly payment changes? Pondering about canceling my membership after all this gym where am at needs to have an update on their equipment.

I have tried every possible way to contact The Gym Group to get some personal data and help with a parking ticket that occurred from their system issues and its been like pulling teeth. I'm still waiting!! Such a joke - just email me or call me please - some human instead of a robot!!!

A large amount of equipment for beginners, advanced and pro gym goers.
Friendly environment and people help out where they can.

Gym is spacious and has everything i need to train. The staff are great and encouraging.

Gym is always clean and staff are always welcoming. Has all the kit I need and because the app always lets me know how busy it is I time my visits so I don’t need to waste time waiting for equipment to become available.

Joined up with The Gym Group in Ipswich back in September, so far been one of, if not the, best gyms I've used.

For a start there's plenty of space and equipment, so it's rarely ever a struggle to get on what you want (though the functional trainers/cable machines can often be more popular than other machines).

The equipment itself is very good quality and well cared for by staff. I've regularly seen maintenance guys in working on machines when required, seeming to address issues very promptly.

The staff and PTs operating there are very friendly and usually happy to chat, with staff going out their way to avoid cleaning duties around the more active areas and going back to them when suitible.

One thing that really surprised me was the trust and respect seemingly shown by the other gym-goers - In a previous gym (Not a Gym Group Gym, for clarification) I had a hat stolen because I left it out my locker. Here I see people leaving their entire bags out of lockers, with no issue or concern about someone else acting nefariously.

My only feedback would be that the Ipswich location could do with another functional trainer/cable machine due to their popularity, but understand this could impact available space. Otherwise, highly recommend and is now my go-to gym.
