I love learning with Ellie. She explains tricky concepts clearly and simply. She makes French grammar comprehensible! Her lessons are interesting and tailor-made to each person's style and skill. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Ellie makes it easy to move your French forward no matter your level, available time and motivation. The website has many tutorials for self-study, but the video lessons are the key to improving your spoken French. Excellent and highly recommended.

Ellie is a wonderful French teacher !! I've made so much progress since I began taking classes with her last year. She is extremely knowledgeable, and she explains the lessons in a way that is very clear. She gives a lot of feedback and encouragement to boost your confidence , so you feel comfortable taking risks. I soo look forward to each class. Ellie has a great sense of humor and she makes learning French fun ! I've taken a few French classes back in school and I can't think of a teacher who compares to her. She is superb. The French "passes" and "membership plans" offer a lot of flexibility too , so you can "pay as you go" , take group classes, private classes and more! I'd give her 100 stars if I could! I feel so lucky to have found her. :)

We really enjoy our weekly private lesson with Ellie. We are much more confident in speaking French and it has enhanced our visits to France so much. The lessons are varied and tailored to meet our needs- focussing on speaking, listening and vocabulary- Ellie corrects our grammar when needed but also lets us try to have free flowing conversation. She is particularly good at giving us idiomatic ways to say things so we sound more French’ and challenging us to give things a go when we are there. I would recommend The French Room as a great way to improve your French.

Ellie is great! Her enthusiasm is undying and she exudes an extremely positive vibe that helps the most tentative of learners learn. You learn at your own pace and she finds the best way for you to learn, which makes it all seem so easy.

I have been having french lessons with Ellie for over a year now. As a complete beginner, I couldn't have found a better teacher. My weekly lessons are fun and original and Ellie is so encouraging, I have made huge steps in learning French.

I would like to share with you my experience with my teacher Ellie. I started having english lessons in July of 2016. Since then my english are definetely improved. Ellie is a well organized teacher with lots of ideas to help you study. She also helped me prepared for my IELTS exams.
